    This quiet luxury is not new. It's what we have always called: good quality basic wardrobe pieces. It is not necessary to spend thousand of dollars. Just go to brands that use natural fabrics and aim for style rather than fashion. Europe has lots of designers whose garments are well cut, cost hundreds, not thousands, and will easily last many years.

      Good point about "style, not fashion". I think, when we're mindful about our style and what we would like to have in our wardrobes, it is much easier to choose "your basics". Because basics and staples are different for everyone. I don't believe in "one fits all" solution. At the end of the day, for things to last in your wardrobe, you gotta be happy with what you have in it.

    High quality fabrics, simple minimalistic cuts, basic colors.
    This is just the pendulum swinging away from the post covid maximalist looks we’ve had for the last couple of years.
    In a couple of years it will swing back.
    I recommend finding a middle ground and investing in a couple of classic items that you can tone up or down

      Yes, that's true. There're usually several things/styles/aesthetics in trend and it's a great thing! Because it means we have more choices available in shops, online, etc. So everyone can find something that suits their taste.
      I'm actually planning on making it a series - videos like this one, where I explore different aesthetics and styling etc. If you have a style/aesthetics in mind that you would like to see next - let me know :)

    Enjoyed the definition. 😊 👏🏽 The definition did not say expensive. I think people are marketing certain brands as quiet luxury. This is the reason quiet luxury is now associated with expensive. Quiet luxury, understated, elegant pieces are primarily based on fabrics then price not price then fabrics. Disagree with using the word timeless, people did not dress this way in the 1200s or 1600s. Side note: The Row sells many polyester and viscose pieces, not luxury fabrics; those are chemicals created into a fabric use case. Not understanding why that brand is named as an example for luxury materials.

      thanks for watching and for your thoughts on the subject!
      I included the Row primarily as an example of the aesthetic; as for the fabrics - even luxury brands do a lot of polyester and synthetic garments. I have looked at some pieces on their website and saw the luxury materials there. However, I didn't look at the composition of every piece that they have in the current collection.
      I would normally prefer to go the shop to see the collection, materials and cut. But unfortunately, they don't have a physical shop in my region 😢
      So this was based of the online research and what I saw on their website :)

    very well explained and yesss you are right that quiet luxury will be a trend these times that will not achieve its goal by fast fashion ❤

      thanks for watching! that's a vintage Armani blazer that I found in a local vintage pop-up event. But I've seen similar ones on vestiare collective (keywords: men's Armani navy blazer)

    I like the definition, but I hate the name. This is a way of dressing that has been around for years and will continue after it's not trending! For me, it's nothing to do with wanting to look more affluent than I am, or old money (I'm most definitely not), but I do want to have a classic understated look. I love a more minimal style over bold, shouty logos because I'm more introverted and I love good quality that I can wear for many seasons. It's a look that comes around, for example, in difficult economic times, nothing new there - but some of us choose it regardless of it going off trend. Logo's and "flashy" dressing will be back on trend when there is more of an economic up turn. I'll probably still be wearing my minimal items...

      Yes, I agree that it's been around forever; in my opinion, the upside for you - if that's been and will be your style is that you can shop for good quality pieces that are in your preferred aesthetic.
      I love to do the same thing with colors. I know my favorite color palette and once it comes in style, it's easier for me to shop for those colors and include them in my capsule.

    Quite Luxury is the highest quality garments which you can afford comfortably. I don’t think that you have to buy a certain brand: good materials and craftsmanship defines a great product- sometimes you can find them on the high street as well, but not in the cheapest stores for sure. Avoid logos and big prints 🎉 natural colors

    I’ve never heard of this but is it “quite luxury “ or “ quiet luxury” ? Cause both make sense but I’d suggest you decide which it is because small things like that can completely undermine your channel. I understand that English is not your first language but you need to get those details right imho.

    • @yasminastyle
      @yasminastyle  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching and for pointing that out! It's "quiet" indeed. I've watched the video for what feels like a thousand times during the edit; so I just didn't notice that mistake in the beginning 😭 I'll try to change it in the TH-cam studio.
      Did you find the content interesting though?!

    • @claremagee2592
      @claremagee2592 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      "In your opinion," yes, but it isn't a humble one. You clearly aren't in fashion, so humility is something you can work on before you undermine *yourself* with derisive, nit-picky comments on someone else's [awesome] content.

      I never heard quite tbh. Also, I think it's pretty obvious that it's quiet if you look at the images and the explanation. Awesome video, idk why some people feel the need to rain on others tbh, your video is awesome 👍
