There are 2 common assumptions about Bodyweight Training:
    1. It's TOO BASIC to be useful and effective -
and in its contrast, 2: Not able to do it, TOO ADVANCED for me.
Both are WRONG - Bodyweight Training & Calisthenics CAN be performed at ANY LEVEL. If it's too basic, you can step it up. And if it's too advanced, you can step it down. You can for sure find a balanced level you can train at. Use imagination, creativity, modifications, variations, different angles, one leg/one arm, change sets/reps etc... Find YOUR WAY!!! #motivation #workout #bodyweighttraining #calisthenics #fitness #strengthtraining

Before anything.. listen to your body. If it's telling you that you still need time to recover, then do so. Beyond that, try to workout 3-5 times per week. So if you manage to get the first 3 out of 5 splits done in one week, next week continue where you left off. It helps to use a journal or app to keep track of your workouts.

One of the very best exercise videos I've ever seen on TH-cam! Pure tutorial without showing off, proper form used throughout, proper tempo control which is even more impressive, and a good breakdown of how to plan a workout with the moves provided at the end. As a 10 year fitness professional I am not easily impressed by tutorials, but this is perfect. Hats all the way off to you folks!

This is EXCELLENT! I've been sort of "out of commission" because of a lower back injury/sciatica...and probably lower testosterone levels. I used to work out EVERY day, from weight training, to cardio, to calisthenics....and any other physical activity I could find.
I'm 51 and after MONTHS of being sedentary and feeling down about it, I awoke this morning and said "This is the day!"
This is inspirational to me. Quality of life, folks!

Hey everyone! I'm glad you liked this video and thank you for all the comments.
I can see some of you ask "HOW MANY TIMES per week can I exercise". This will be very individual depending on the intensity of your workouts, experience, and how much you train in general, and so on... You want to find a balance where you can PERFORM & RECOVER. More tough and intense workouts, you need to recover more, and vice versa. For what level and intensity you train at, you will also notice how many days you will need to recover and feel that you can perform well again. If you hit it too tight, you will probably experience that you feel weaker, struggling with the sets reps and you feel you can't perform like you did last time. So it's here you individually need to find a BALANCE that works for you! Always start easy with just 1-a FEW workouts a week, THEN step it up. Find your efficient balance that works fine for you!

This shit works- and its the most natural form of exercise as our muscles evolved to pull our body weight around. I was diagnosed with 3 torn disks about a year ago, on massive doses of codine etc just to get through the day. Pull ups, chin ups etc all helped strengthen my back and improve my posture. I still get sore sometimes, but recovery is 10x faster these days. Of course, improved diet and being vigilant with hydration probably helps too.

This is a really great vid! Very complete, and guiding, specially for beginners.
I would only like to say (in case there is someone who's a beginner struggling with the subject) that bodyweight training it's not better or worse, only different from other ways of strength and resistance training. As the other ways, it has its pros and its cons, that's it. It's not the most complete, nor the least complete. Training with a powerrack and an olympic bar, gym machines, dumbbells and a bench or a tower and your weight are all among the variety of effective forms of strength training. In the end, it all depends on what you want to accomplish and the focus you're aiming for.

I have recently turned to mostly bodyweight exercises, mostly because of my age (60), but still do Squats, Straightleg Deadlifts and Overhead Presses occasionally to keep a certain level of overall body strength. Back to your video...finally a bodyweight video that someone isn't "showing off", and giving you real exercises people can follow and actually do. I choose a certain number of reps per exercise and do as many sets as necessary to complete them, with 30 seconds btwn sets and 1 minute btwn exercises...getting good results and better cardio. Thanx for the video...

I've lifted weights for a while but I find I prefer bodyweight training. Sure I still like lifting but only 2 days a week and then it's just your basic 3 compound lifts. I started using TRX workout and I love them because it's more about movement. Bodyweight training is the way to go. If it's good enough for the military then it's good enough for me.

watchout for sit-ups... at about 30-40° (of 0-90°+ move) ppl tend to involve adductors that end in groin area, which can go really painful.. i dont say that its bad or something.. im just saying that it can be painfull, and im not speaking about pain you feel after till-failure workout..

So, let’s say I have no experience with gyms whatsoever, my biggest fear is that while doing some of the exercises I end up hurting myself, would you tell me not to do it or you think I’m overthinking it? I’d go to the gym but the only ones near me are crazy expansive and I still would like to work out

I'm on my day 3 doing most of this programme and quit going to the gym after almost 4 years of very little progress. And I can feel better days in my fitness life just for the fact that I've never had so much lactic acid in every muscle of my back, chest, arms and legs. Man it hurts but I like it!!!

Great tutorial , I've recently started calisthenics training after recent back surgery , I have a bit of a routine but I really like this one . I have three questions . Should you do all variants of each excercise every training session or choose one or two? . Should you excercise to failure each time or keep some in reserve? . Lastly does it matter where you start , in the routine . I do legs first but should I start upper body and work my way down ?
Thanks you once again for the upload it's after motivating even more to succeed 👍

How do you avoid wrist pain and injury when doing push ups and handstands? Do you stretch them or maybe you never had the problem to begin with? Any recommendations?
    Thanks for the help

First of all, thanks for this great video. I'm just starting with the exercises and it feels awesome! ... I just have one question, with the example routines at the end of the video, that routines are suposed for one single day, right? Or we can divided in 3 days or more? Hope you answer me :)

Culum Keil Thanks man. Generally I keep active with something every day, even if it not necessarily needs to be a very intense or heavy workout, but something :)

Hey gotta say I really like the video and was wondering about a couple tips if at all possible. A year ago I completely changed my diet to organic and natural for the most part and start a strict callisthenics training (for myself at least). I started with 50 chin ups per day. that then moved to 100. Now I do 100 - 120 chin ups per day in reps of 15 with my legs completely out so I'm at a 90 degree angle. I've noticed great results over my entire body, from abs to arms and especially back; but i was wondering if you think that's enough, or i need to add more into the equation. i know my strength has greatly built overall as before i was 195 pounds and could only do a couple chin ups to start with, to now, being 165 pounds and doing more chins up with a 40 pound weight attached then before.
