- In this guide I will share my experience getting Bali Visa on Arrival for Indians.
This video is a guide for Indians looking to travel to Bali and get the visa on arrival.
Bali Indonesia now requires visa on arrival for Indians.
This is an Indonesian visa and you can use it to travel anywhere in Indonesia, not just bali.
Earlier Indians were exempt from visa fee for a stay up to 30 days. But it's an easy process to get the Bali Visa on Arrival which is valid for 30 days and costs $33.
As per the new regulation, you have to follow a process at the airport to show your vaccination, pay the visa on arrival fee, and then go through immigration and finally fill the customs form and exit the airport.
In this video I will guide you through my recent experience of arriving at Bali and how I got my visa on arrival, as well as the other process and requirements at the airport.
Here's the link to the customs declaration form that you will need to fill before you exit the Bali airport ecd.beacukai.go.id/
Complete the form and take a photo of the QR code that comes at the end. When you're leaving the Bali Airport, you'll have to scan this QR code to exit.

VOA fee: $33
Stay duration: Up to 30 days
Airport process: Show vaccination > Pay VOA fee > Go through immigration > Fill customs form online > Scan QR code from the form at customs to exit

Hey Rishabh, great video, thank you for the information. I had one question, I have 2 return flights for my upcoming Bali trip. I had to book another one because I couldn't get it rescheduled. So had to book another one 3 days later. Is this going to be an issue?
It should be fine as long as you show a return ticket during the visa process on arrival it's enough. You can also change flights later and that's not an issue.
Great video explaining the process. How are the waiting times at the airport for voa and customs? I am travelling with kids. Is it better to take e-voa via their official website?
The process is pretty fast. I had my daughter with me who's a toddler - it didn't feel like an issue at all and things were moving well

I have rented both bike and car on my indian license
since it's in english, usually a translation isn't needed as well

Hey, I did have to show my vaccination certifications at the airport.
Honestly I'm not sure if this has changed as of now but they were needed when I went and in Jan 2023 too.

Bali is very diverse. Kuta region could be like Patayya but I haven’t been to Kuta. I feel Candidasa and Sanur areas are a bit like Nha Trang but hard to compare. I was in Nha Trang only once 4 years ago. I personally like Ubud it’s a place like no other. Also areas in the north like mount batur were great spots ❤

Apply 10 days before your visa is expiring (so 20 days after your stay in Bali if you're staying for 30 days) at the immigration office for extension

No need to show hotel reservation at the airport. In case they ask just use the airport Wi-Fi and book a refundable stay and then cancel it as you get your visa

You don't need to take a picture there or carry a physical photo with you for Indonesia visa the last time I entered.

2 doses are Enough.

Quick question: I'm trying to apply for International Driving license (IDL) in India for Bali, but visa is a mandatory document. Now, since it's VoA, can I apply for visa prior to arrival?
If you're applying for the IDP, I think the requirement for having a visa was removed to get an IDP but I am not 100% sure about this.
If you just want to rent a motorbike, I think you'll be good with just your Indian DL as this is what I use every time I rent a motorbike in Bali, without any issues.
If these don't work, then you'll need to get a visa from the Indonesian embassy in India and then apply for DL before you travel to Indonesia.

And a few other currencies apart from IDR and USD
But INR is not accepted
So yes you can pay in IDR too

No gpay does not work there. UPI/BHIM apps will not work to make payments in Indonesia. You can get a SIM at the airport. I recommend telkomsel as it has good network across Bali and also in islands like nusa penida

I would budget $50 USD per night for stay + $50 USD per day for everything else (as per my family's expenses) you can work out your own after a few days there

You can get 30 days and then extend. If you can apply from the embassy before leaving india then you can directly request them and see what they say. They are able to grant longer visas but at the airport it’ll be 30 days only

i don't think it should be an issue but I would recommend just taking the phone separately and the box separately. You can repack it and give it to her later. Or just gift wrap it for her in advance. in both cases, you should be safer but otherwise also it shouldn't be an issue. I always have 2 phones and I got asked for an explanation by customs only once in the past many years of travel

Yes I rented both a bike and car there and just used my Indian license. You can also get an international license from india itself just to be sure if you want

Very generic. Basic hai who is traveling and declare that you don’t have certain things or wild animals that are not allowed. Don’t smuggle anything illegal

You can check with the embassy website there is an option to apply via the embassy though VOA is the most common option

Not separately as a visa requirement but it's always good to have insurance with some international coverage based on your age, goals, and health condition.

Visa on arrival is only for 1 month. You can book a return ticket first and get VOA and if you find a way to continue to stay there legally then you can always cancel your return ticket

You book the same flight and just transit via the airport you don't need a transit visa. Many indians fly to Bali via vietnam and don't need a visa unless you plan to visit Vietnam of course
