Besides you getting married I’ve never seen you happier in your videos as I have with you back in America eating the yummy food and spending time with your family. Mrs. Deen you bring out the best in Ben.
For those on about prices. 1. NYC 2. Delivery 3. During covid, restaurants (especially Chinese) all raised prices and since people continued ordering the prices never went back down. My standard order pre covid was $25 and is now $50. And I am not in NYC. It took months to find a new go-to place with decent food and portions.
Not to mention UberEats, Door Dash and GrubHub have ridiculous delivery fees. I don't order delivery as much as I used to because it's cheaper to pick my order up.
Then why live in NYC it's just for showoff if you hardly managing to live there this place is more suitable for High income individuals but NYC is beautiful too can't argue that
Yo ben, if you want some really good authentic chinese food i highly recommend going to flushing new york while you're still here Some examples: alley 41 for szechuan, new world mall foodcourt for the chongqing xiao mian, 8090 in new york food court for the teriyaki steak and pasta They all taste better dining in than takeout tho
Living in California now, after 27 yrs in NY. There's great Asian food here (Thai places and noodle places kick ass) but the Chinese here hits different. I miss NY chinese takeout!!! 💕
Love your videos and awesome to see you in NYC. I get food from Shanghai 21 all the time. I’m sad to say the stuff you ordered is not what they’re known for. They’re top notch for Shanghai food, but middle of the road for Americanized Chinese.
Chinese food in Canada is very different than from the US because we have this type of Chinese food called "Hakka" which is a Chinese and Indo fusion because alot of Caribbean, Indian and Chinese people are here in Canada (specifically around the Toronto area)
When I go to NYC Chinatown I don’t want American style food, I want the real stuff that the locals eat. Great NY Noodletown on Bowery and Big Wong on Mott are also very good and authentic. Xian Famous Foods on Bayard and Bowery got the delicious spicy cumin lamb burgers and also spicy cumin lamb noodles which are great. Get some bubble tea too!
You need to try Wo Hops in china town, the one in the basement not the one street level. Absolutely next level. (fried noodles are a must)

EXACTLY! My parents and I were from Brooklyn and even after we moved upstate New York, they would take us into NYC to Chinatown specifically to Wo Hop several times a year
We do door dash and uber eats at our restaurant and if you don’t select yes to provide condiments and utensils we give you nothing besides the food. Chopsticks are way more expensive the forks and spoons so we don’t give you any unless you request it. We assume you can’t use it until you ask us to prevent waste.
Wednesday I am making American style Chinese food as a barter for work done on my house. Had my rain gutters cleaned. Anyway thank you for this, timing was great! Love to see the different dishes!!!! I will have to try them. The guys that worked for me I am making them, sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken fried rice, egg rolls, hoisin noodles, and orange ginger veg mix. Great show I am becoming a fan for sure, thank you!
I hope people realize that the prices you see on those delivery apps like DoorDash, Uber eats, etc are NOT the same prices that are seen if you were to go inside the restaurant or call to place your order yourself or order from their actual website not through a 3rd party. I stopped ordering delivery for that reason. It’s ridiculous to see for example, if I want 10 wings, on the app the wings are priced at almost $17-18 but if I were to go on their actual restaurant’s site, or call it in, the price is way cheaper & it’s the actual damn price for the food lol The price you have to pay for convenience is craaaaazy. They want every little penny I swear lol

One new thing we have in western Canada is "Indian style" Chinese food. I didn't even know that was a thing. Never tried it but I will stick to traditional.
I wanna know how the egg drop soup tastes? This is the FIRST Chinese style soup I ever ate when I was 8 in 1968. Did they give you fried wonton strips for the soup?
@@quicampbell8415 I'm in the west end, but I love Lime Viet (which is technically Thai/Vietnamese but has GREAT General Tso, sweet & sour) and King Asian (love their spicy peanut chicken and dumplings in peanut sauce, but everything I've ordered from them has been very good and they include lots of veggies).
we don’t have General Tso Chicken here in China, so it’s more of a Americanized Chinese dish rather than Chinese Chinese dish😅 looks delicious tho not gonna lie
Egg drop soup is basically chinese chicken stock with yellow food coloring and cornstarch slurry to thicken it. Then they swirl beaten egg into it. How do I know? I worked at a takeout joint in NYC and I made it
General Tso chicken is an American invention, and pretty tasty it is, too. But, it's rare to find it in the UK, because it's American. We have our own inventions LOL.

Hi, yesterday in Javea,Spain...went to a Chinese supermarket, It was amazing. I love the dried chilli flakes and the Ramen. They had Thai foods, which I love. Your food looked incredible. In England we love sweet and sour sauce, especially on prawn balls or pork balls, with chips and curry sauce. Next time your in London, try mixing foods. Indian with Chinese or Fish and chips with a fried Mars bar. Off the planet for me is..... a 4 Cheese Pizza, with fruitcake. Bloody gorgeous mate, top draw. Love your vlogs mate All the best to you and your good lady. 😎☯️🌱
Most of those single black trays with meat and veggies, plus rice typically go for $15 each across the board for American Chinese takeout. Now add a few more and some special items like "shrimp toast" and it adds up quick. A full meal for me with maybe some leftovers for later in the night costs me $30. It lasts way longer when you mix the rice with the half eaten entree
Ben, you don't own chopsticks as kitchen utensils? You should 'cause they're mighty fine utensils to have. Chicken low mein is my fave, but pork isn't bad either. ❤ yum. PF Chang's really sounds like a white Chinese food place. You should try Chinese food in Canada. It hits the mark so good. Watching you eat is making me hungry. I ❤ fish tummy soup. That's da bomb. Yes, Korean restaurants are all over my city. Awesome video, Ben. Catch ya later. ❤
Around 80 from the receipt he showed which is about ten dollars more than it should be , but 100 is ridiculous I think he pays delivery fees and tips generously

idk 100 for for 5-6 dishes one rice was probably free. but dam 100 i imagine delivery what made it that much? those items gotta be like $8-11 each beside the rice and free rice. so like that like 70 bucks 30 for delivery or 25 sicne the coke and spring rolls seems fair actually
