It's a numbers game, as most of the NK fights are, because of his low "poise". If instead of 6 people only 3-4 but with full hp had been for second phase it might have gone very different...
Seriously! The way they took thier time to get into position was interesting. I'm usually very disappointed in the AI in a lot of these skirmishes but there was an anomaly here.
After how long it took them to kill the bird im surprised the wiped the floor with NK so easily. And that stagger where he flies back after the visceral! Crazy
His ability to get staggered has been the Nameless King's downfall in a fair number of these fights. As far as how long it took them to take down the King of the Storm, the AI doesn't know to focus fire the head. They all crowded about his legs, and they don't take near as much damage.

Its because the First Born fights close quarter combat, and doesnt break easily but when he does, he breaks hard. I still think he could have wiped the floor if he moved more.
It's the amount of attacks, they basically almost break his poise again, while he is still getting up, this doesn't really happen with Boss vs. Boss (outside of Watchers). So in Bossfights he can shine with his extremely high dps (and own stagger moves) and sometimes (if his AI feels like it) aggressiveness.
Much like the Ashen One, the Nameless King is tailored for 1 on 1 fights, as his AoE is limited. King of Storm however had plenty of AoE hence why everyone struggled against him

Gotta realize these npc fights aren't exactly lore accurate. It is mainly just how their ai scripts stack against each other and that is literally it. These scripts are meant to be a challenge for the player and that is it, not to fight each other. I'm not saying it isn't some epic anime level shit because it definitely is

Honestly, I want to play a video game that's just this. Like- a sim where instead of actually fighting the insane bosses, you train your AI heroes to fight them for you and then watch as they have epic grand scale battles for your amusement
The Firelink Shrine gang should NOT be underestimated. Even with their HP doubled, the King of the Storms and the Nameless King ultimately fell. RIP Leonhard, though. He almost made it through. :( (also, props to Anri for that awesome riposte on the Nameless King!)

I remember from a TH-cam video one of my favourite potentially canon lore, that the King of the Storm is actually Ornstein who transformed into a Dragon after joining the Nameless King. Hence why we can find his Armor after the fight
Who the heck did that Big Boy Damage at 1:19 and 1:48? Those two hits alone were like, a full quarter of Storm King's healthbar. Was that Eygon? I can see him winding up right before, but in the chaos I can't make it out.
Man how cool would it be if elden ring had just straight up ten man raid bosses? Like remove estus usage and make it so healing miracles were needed and such for big fights, god it would be fun to see all the magics and arrows fly as melee rush in.
I love these 'smaller enemies/NPCs vs big boi' matchups. Most of them are so cool to watch. Though I do think it's fair to boost the boss' health based on how the number of 'phantoms'. Like every 2 opponents boost the health bar by 100% of the original.

Boss with stagger tend to do VERY poor in these video because 5,6 NPC ganking=stunlock
