The ending was significantly better than the rest of it but this was pretty disappointing compared to the original game. I think it's attempt to set itself apart with a darker environment and different distortions really took away from what the original appeal. I also don't think this was an aspect of the story entirely worth expanding upon as I think the daughter's character development is fairly obvious without having to be drawn out.
I liked this, but yeah, the main game was better.

I'm only 35 minutes in and I already formed my opinion that the first game was better honestly. It's definitely still a good game just the first one is better ^-^

Ah so this is from the Daughters perspective? Wasn't she a little girl in the original game? Not to mention didn't the protagonist in the first game kill his wife and daughter? 😂

Yep this is from her perspective. His wife killed herself in the bathtub and possibly the daughter aswell ?.

The daughter was taken away from him after the wife killed herself. He tried to take her back, and kidnapped her for a bit, but ultimately the daughter was taken away and grew up without her parents. She returned to the house after her father died and tried to piece together what she remembered from her childhood and what she may have heard?
Edit: I think judging from the fire that either she was in the house right as her father killed himself by throwing his body on the burning paintings, or that she burned the place down again.

It srarted as the two got married then had a child they were happy
But then they started arguing night after night until the daughter was taken away when she was only 4 ( well its basically her age because of the drawings ).
The mother was caught in a fire and suffered from severe burns
* week later * her face was all stiched up and melted and her beauty was no longer there
So the husband was angry and he didn't want to even look at her and if you read one of the notes in the first game, the mother wrote this on the paper" he sees me as a monster now and if he thinks that i sure godamn will act the part " those words ment she was going to make him suffer but he doesn't care , all he wants is to get the perfect picture painted but he couldn't so yea
