I thought it was so rad they managed somehow to bring back the cast for this, i remember reading how impressed Weaver was when they showed her the gameplay.
Alien isolation brought the vibe of alien 1979. And for those that are interested in getting this game it's on steam totally worth it. Alien Romulus is also connected 😊
Probably was, the original DLC was much much longer, they recreated the film in its entirety (the full shabang including deleted scenes), alongside Lamberts original r&p3 death. But it was later scrapped for a "what if" scenario as they felt they had gone "too far" whatever that means. Perhaps too dark and scary even for it's standards?
One of the best scifi horor games ever blessed upon us. Would love an isolation 2 (under a different title, maybe do the Prototype storyline from the books). No horror game has had me as cautious as this one has... phenomenal game.
Have not played the dlc content yet but thinking about getting the bundle on steam for sale. Enjoyed the hell out of the base game on xbox. One of the greatest games I've ever played damn it.
If the crew of the NOSTROMO had found out that the science officer ASH was protecting the xenormorphe and controlling MOTHERS AI., they would have survived the event.
This is my favorite video games that I ever have played with on mine and my nephews Xbox 360 game system and it's too bad that Xbox 360 game on line is off line because I can't get my exclusive content I'm really deeply saddened
Still can't believe we haven't got a sequel to this... I really would have appreciated an Aliens style sequel where you can actually kill the motherfuckers... Instead of this run and hide BS I mean this is better then having nothing like Outlast, at least you have one weapon that can ward off the Alien and you can fight back against the other enemies... Can't stand other games where it's just running and hiding I have a feeling that's what Jurassic Park Survival is going to be sadly...
Too be fair for Jurassic Park, you are up against dinosaurs, bigger then humans and can crush you in an instant so you are kinda forced to hide and run, Alien Isolation, at least you have a defense against the Xeno and buy you enough time to escape or get something done I mean it would be nice in like some horror games that at first you need to run and hide, but the near end, characters done with this shit and decided to arm up and try to beat the main antagonist and escape, to me at least.
@@slademeranda7668 I mean Dino Crisis did it perfect the second one even added bigger/ more dinosaurs. Like you said it would be nice to have options. If you do have the firepower you can stand and fight or you can run save ammo possibly survive longer. LOL Running and hiding all the time especially from something that can probably sniff you out from miles away is just silly to me on top of it being very unrealistic. Yes we're talking about fighting aliens and dinosaurs here but eventually you would be forced into combat.
It's unfair to compare this game with other "hide nd seek/ walking simulator games" because this actually makes perfect sense within the game, as the whole point of Alien is that it's unstoppable and killable, this game is sticking to the original film. Alien should have NEVER been an action property.
@@JesusGomez-ob2qt But in the original film they didn't have conventional firearms but they did have laser pistols that could have easily dispatched the Xeno. They're never shown again after they get back from the derelict ship. In the past Canon (Aliens and numerous other forms of media) have shown flamethrowers as well as pistols and shotguns to have easily dispatched them... One might argue that the acid would burn through the hull of the ship but originally it's shown stop once it goes through a few levels of flooring. Being on a space station it probably wouldn't have been a problem. I get it they had to use some type of a game mechanic but they also could have implemented if you wanted to waste the resources trying to destroy the xenomorph in that area then you could. But then that would have ruined the surprise of there being multiple xenomorphs instead of assuming it's the same one until the end when she discovers there's an entire hive.
@@jonmurphy4889 I think they still managed to give us enough variety in gameplay so that it didn't get stale all the way through, we have the bolt gun that we have to wait to load up that adds tension to take down the stronger androids, we can melee androids and humans, we do have a gun and shotgun that we have to plan before using, taking into account when it's safe to shoot or when you'll be heard by the alien, obviously the flamethrower being the best mechanic, all the different forms of distractions, and throwable weapons
ALIEN ISOLATION 4K *VR* Walkthrough ►th-cam.com/video/6gAV9_qNJXs/w-d-xo.html
A truly great game, the fact it wasn’t praised to the heavens at release was a crime against gaming (thanks IGN and others)
All my homies hate IGN
I found the AI of the Alien too broken, made the game way less enjoyable
the visual cues of the game even made it in the new alien: Romulas movie
Screw IGN, they aren't even relevant anymore imo
@ololometer536is there a lore reason why you are stupid?

I heard they... Weaved... plenty of authentic features from the movie into the game.

Good news, everyone! Looks like ALIEN ISOLATION 2 is in the works!
@@TriviaFreak That's awesome 👌
Every ship requires a pulse rifle onboard at each level
It should be no question its using the air docks to move around. Great game though. 10 years later and it still gives me bad dreams.
I’m sure in the near future more will realize that Alien Isolation has usurped others as the best horror game of all time 👏
