My name is Joe I'm in Santa Fe New Mexico I used to have two of them 1969 Buick Wildcat you're such a beautiful cars I wish I still had them one day I will I'll find another one that's a beautiful car good job building that car let her bring a lot of good memories thank you
I just started this kit. I cut the hood open. And got a firewall from the 1966 wildcat and will use its engine too. Very beautiful. Not a curbside anymore. Gonna put a white vinyl roof on it. Might paint body white or light yellow. Loving it.
1970, a guy in the neighborhood got out of the Army a few months before me. He only ate Army food and wore Army clothes, every penny he made went into savings. Then he paid cash for a NEW 1970 Buick Wildcat. Me? I ate candy, burgers and saw lots of movies. I got out with enough for a used 1950 Ford. Mister Wildcat gave me a few rides - didn't compare to my '50 Ford. Your take on this Wildcat is impressive. You use so little, by way of expensive model stuff, yet your kits are amazing. Thanks for sharing...
Have not seen the video yet,, busy! You already sold this one x 4, too bad this does not have the 455, but was a favorite car as a kid, WHEN THEY WERE NEW, love those lines, will watch later, but thumbs up right now!
You know , I understand that its important for some to have an engine in their models. But I have built models for years and the hood goes on, it goes on a shelf and the engine never gets seen again. I guess at 66 years old I'm more interested in simplicity and I think this is a great alternative for shelf queens. 😀 Great build👍👍🇨🇦
~everytime I hear Wildcat it reminds me of part of a song in Jimi Hendrix All Along the Watchtower~ Oh, outside in the cold distance A "wildcat" did growl Two riders were approaching And the wind began to howl Hey All along the watchtower I'll be waiting I'll be waiting here ~btw cool build too~ 😀
Wow the simplicity I really like this model. I have put models together in the past but I lost an arm in a motorcycle accident but I think I could do that one
Great build and great video. I also build for fun and I will go to contests to display my models. I go to have a good time and be with my friends and fellow model builders. Keep up the great work.
Excellent color choice and use of decals. It looks like a good simple kit. I love that we have the Buick Wildcat as an option to choose from, but I hate it is only a curbside kit. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome build Chris. Great color combo. I too like simplicity at times. I have this kit and will tackle it sometime this Summer. Thanks for sharing. Happy Memorial Day.
I can't wait to get one as soon as it arrives. I built a 1971 Thunderbird and put a set of double-whitewall tires on it. Last - years ago, I drove a 1970 chev caprice w same ww tires. Loving it.
I rode from Newfoundland to Toronto in a pea green one just like that in 1985 at a very young age. I don't remember it myself, but I've been told the 455 could pass everything except a gas station.
glad to see the curbside kits being reissued---those are a good way to break in a young builder----they are easy to build and the success factor of finishing one will probably make a beginner want to do more---nothin as frustrating as trying to build one with lots of detail as a beginner and losing interest and saying to heck with this hobby----my first kit was a 1961 Lincoln and my second kit was a 1961 Comet---these were basically curbside kits only with lots of custom parts and as a 14 year old I tried to use as many parts as possible---I am like you I build as a therapy and am not concerned when I wind up with a "1/25th" scale finish and is missing maybe the outside mirror or a radiator hose(you know what I mean)----I do like your habit of using the floor polish---seems like that would make for easy cleaning----I think when I start bringing my models out of storage I will be using this tip to freshen them up----bent your ear long enough---keep up the building
Amen to that, I picked up a Model King version, paid $27.99, and the only thing that made it worthwhile was the Sean Svenson( I think) designed ( huge) decal sheet
You people need to stop complaining. This kit is a reissue of an original 1970’s kit. Many of the old kits were made as curbside kits. I think it’s cool they are reissuing these kits or retooling some parts to come back out with them. Prices are up all over the place, stop complaining about it on you tube and go out and vote the bums out who made all the high prices. The best is you can find a video on just about everything today, you can watch a video like this before you buy the model to know what it has in it and then chose not to but it. Personally I don’t like the under hood area of old kits so curbside is a good choice for me.
This is a good slump buster kit, and would be ideal for beginners too although I can see the decals could be a bit of a challenge, especially if those stripes etc have a tendency to tear.
In 1983 I was driving my Dad's 1971 Buick Wildcat home from my high school one night, in a little bit of a hurry. Someone came around the corner with a Jeep that had about two dozen K/C lights on and I couldn't see anything, panicked and hit the gas instead of the brake. The car acted like it just had a tune-up and before I knew it, was going nearly 50 mph into a tree, right on the very edge of Thornton Rock Quarry!
The Tamiya paint looked awful until you added the floor polish. The change in appearance was excellent. AMT should discount these Craftsman Series kits to reflect having no engine. I don't see any good way to even modify the kit to add an engine, the hole in the chassis is so big, there's no place to mount the motor.
I think the curbsides are a bit of a rip off they cost the same as regular kits sometimes more their just a money maker to me it's to bad they didn't come with engine and detail cause their cool cars may be theil get their act together soon or later
It was a mistake model where the axles go in ,to short axles wrong molding I modified it with a melterhot soldering iron, melting reshape ing there mistake
O k the round T w o has added to sixty nine Buick wildcat to the fleet of no motors To their lineup. If you really want a motor Radiator and firewall get a sixty six Buick Riviera. That has everything you need you can cut the hood out since it is One piece backside. Exacto knife. You're only talking about 15 minutes. That's the only way you're gonna get a motor in this kit? Yes round to should lower the prices on these Models. Why should we pay full retail? For half a car. Come on round 2. You are killing off your People who buy from you on a regular basis. Myself I don't need this. It's one because this was Reissued in the nineties. How many GTO's? Do we have to go through? Motors and transmissions. Radiators and Firewalls. A lot of us do not have extra parts.😢
Very Cool car very lame kit amt is lame I appreciate the detail and the time it takes to make them but I like revel cos you just get cool kits without the nostalgia

Have not seen the video yet,, busy! You already sold this one x 4, too bad this does not have the 455, but was a favorite car as a kid, WHEN THEY WERE NEW, love those lines, will watch later, but thumbs up right now!
Looks good.
Chris, your approach is inspirational.
Looks like good slump buster! Nice work Chris!
That is one heck of a Buick! Love that Maroon paint! Awesome work Sir!
Background music is so relaxing and good!
WOW VERY COOL great build
Great work! Going to have to pick on up! I’m hoping to see a reissue of the MPC 1968 Pontiac Bonneville! Maybe some day, but probably in my dreams!
She's a beaut, Chris

Nice build....................MOD PODGE, the unsung hero of the modelers work bench.
looks like a nice kitt too do u do nice work
Back in 1970 my friend’s mom had one of these Wildcat in that color. It was sweet ride.
Lovely kit, like it 👍
This kit was perfect for a junkyard rust bucket
Let her set low, down in the weeds! 😂 lol! Nice job btw! Looks great!
Beautiful. I love the color. Great job as always!
Wow the simplicity I really like this model. I have put models together in the past but I lost an arm in a motorcycle accident but I think I could do that one
That looks like a die cast model! Beautiful paint and shine!
Another great build up she really looks great
Great build and great video. I also build for fun and I will go to contests to display my models. I go to have a good time and be with my friends and fellow model builders. Keep up the great work.
Love the curbside kits... I just finished the '68 GTO. It really gives you the opportunity to work on the details.
You mean what little detail remains, since there's really nothing there but a body and interior.
Thank you for showing off the materials you used! That liquid chrome will come in handy for the Impala I want to build.
That's one beautiful model very nice build😎👍
Another amazing build Cris an a nice body color you made it
Excellent color choice and use of decals. It looks like a good simple kit. I love that we have the Buick Wildcat as an option to choose from, but I hate it is only a curbside kit. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome build Chris. Great color combo. I too like simplicity at times. I have this kit and will tackle it sometime this Summer. Thanks for sharing. Happy Memorial Day.
I had a Yellow 1969, same body but with a 430. Fun car.
Nice 😅
I can't wait to get one as soon as it arrives. I built a 1971 Thunderbird and put a set of double-whitewall tires on it. Last - years ago, I drove a 1970 chev caprice w same ww tires. Loving it.
Great looking gleaming burgundy paint job. Nice easy model. Thanks Chris!😎👍
Great build Chris! I'm glad to see the return of this one. It would make a great one day build!
I remember when it first came out. I bought two. One was colored in metallic blue. The other was metal flake candy Apple red.
awesome really reminds me of my dads old wildcat almost the same color brings back the feels
Great looking model, and the color you chose is so perfect for it.
I rode from Newfoundland to Toronto in a pea green one just like that in 1985 at a very young age.

Man that boat looks good! I feel like a bigger price break on the craftsman series would be appropriate
Amen to that, I picked up a Model King version, paid $27.99, and the only thing that made it worthwhile was the Sean Svenson( I think) designed ( huge) decal sheet
Can’t wait to see you do the Enzo
Great color choice Chris and the side decals are spot on! I bet Gary will have one on his work bench soon!!😂
👍👍

This was part of amt motor city stockers there was some sweet kits in this series look for more
There was a 1970 ford ltd in the series and they turned it into the recently issued 1970 galaxie police and taxi models.
I Like Buick Regal Turbo Totally Amazing Badass Modern Muscle Car 80s

Love watching the modelers on TH-cam but I DETEST curbside kits. Only way I’ve ever bought one is by accident.
👀😍👍🏼
I wired my 67 up with lights
I just wish it had that 455 under the hood! I hate curbside kits.
The Tamiya paint looked awful until you added the floor polish. The change in appearance was excellent.

Otherwise it's a great classic car , should be with a engine .

The lack of a engine!!?!!!!? 😮🤔🤬💩💩💩💩💩💩💩🤢
This one has always been a promo kit.
I'm sorry about that. I can get too
Caught in stupid stuff sometimes.
