AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson was 63, Angus Young was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎😎
i was absolutely exhausted watching Angus play live...he never left the stage...played the whole time...Yes...there are great guitarists...AND THEN THERE IS ANGUS!
I cannot think of another guitarist that can keep a solo that long while making the audience hang on to every single note. Remember, he came out after this and did an encore!!
You know I think Angus is above any guitarist I have ever seen..I have never seen anyone play one handed like him, and he never misses a note..he's a guitar god..😘😘
And fun part? He is powered by Milk.. doesn't smoke or drink... I did a ac dc gig, request was 6 litres of chilled milk in green room... not one drug in his body ever... And has his AC DC millions and still lives in a Normal House...
The fun part? When you go to gig, Friday night and are amazed... turn up on Saturday night, and his riff is completely different... He does it all on the fly...
I saw him play that solo like that on top of a bouncer's shoulders as the bouncer walked through the crowd. I've seen them 3 times and they are fire every time.
I was visiting a mate there in 2009 and we had tickets for the concert at River Plate FC Stadium in Buones Aires (Argentina) that night there was an estimated 120,000 people there. Over three days the ticket sales counted 375,000. Great times!.
I seen this concert back in 2009 at Guilette Stadium, and it was the BEST CONCERT EVER!!! My voice was so horse afterwards I could barely talk much let sing on the way home...Best concert I ever seen in my life, and I've been to hundreds of them!
When I watched them live I won 4 front center tickets. What a blast. It was Fly on the Wall show . And you're right it was a face melting night. Next morning I couldn't move my head. Self inflicted whiplash, had to wear a collar for 3 weeks. Well worth it
11:56 During the recording of ‘Let There Be Rock’ song Angus’ amp actually caught fire, but the producer said keep going so that is what’s on the studio album
This is a well known fact..amp started to smell like burning smell & smoke was coming outta the speaker..no cap!! The guitars are super loud on this album. Why would they make it up??
@@gunlean7738 i didnt say they made it up . i said ppl must have a different album to me , cos mine dont have a burning amp on the cover . the old amps were all fuse driven . like a cb base radio . if you over power them , they do catch fire .
legend has it a reporter asked angus what its like to be the best guitarist in the world to which he replied he wouldn't know cos his not even the best guitarist in the band
That's funny, because he did an interview in Australia and was asked 'what's it like being considered one of the best guitarists in the world?'. He chuckled and said 'I'm not even the best guitarist in my family'.
There is another live version I think at Donnington UK where Angus' guitar quits on him twice. All the while that drum beat continues. Then when Angus gets a working guitar they pick up where they left off.
220000 + in 3 consecutive nights. That's pretty normal for an Argentinian crowd. And AC/DC it's a band that's adored in my country. They'll always have young fans, because it's almost like family tradition now listen them
Nearly 200,000 people attended the River Plate concerts each night (3 x nights). Angus, then, was in his mid 50's, same as Phil Rudd, Cliff, Malcolm and Brian were in their early to mid 60's. 🤘😄🤘
AC/DC - Hells Bells (Live At River Plate, December 2009) AC/DC - Live At River Plate AC/DC-The Jack from Live at River Plate AC / DC “ Whole Lotta Rosie at River Plate AC/DC Highway to Hell Live At River Plate AC/DC - Thunderstruck Live (River Plate) AC/DC - T.N.T. Give you a Heads up... Angus doesn't drink, or smoke, or take drugs... He is literally powered by Milk... loves his chilled Milk... also holds the record for the longest single handed riff... Australia has has these legends since 1973... Beats the syrup that comes out of America...
I got to see them live in Melbourne Victoria Australia when I was 14 will never forget the atmosphere 2015 I believe from memory it’s one band you just have to see them live
discovered them when I was 17 I am 65 I am telling you I never known such cleverness of writing and re-writing actually Let's there be Rock original was by far my greatest song ever. But this is re-writing is well I don't know where it comes from no idea my God it's awesome great reaction and DC thanks for that I agree with comment below we'll never see a guitarist like him ever again and yeah Hendrix was all together different but he I feel hasn't got the same energy, and the drummer pure class let's not forget the bass
I got to see them in Amsterdam on this tour-- they do not disappoint!!! You might enjoy Stevie Ray Vaughan playing Hendrix's Voodoo Chile live in Austin Tx. Another guitar god!
I don't have many regrets in life, but I do regret that back in 2009 I did not know what River Plate Stadium was, and that AC/DC would be playing there, because I would have gotten on a damn plane and flown down there for this. What a once-in-a-lifetime experience that must have been. Assuming you lived through it 🤪
Hello youngster I take it from the UK you are from? Just come across the channel watching Angus Young in action with AC/DC I stuck out the whole time with you mesmerizing in it eesh enit dayum some more of your videos I'll be checking out from your native American sister from Oregon of USA I subscribe to your channel this evening just come across it
You need to see the original video with Bon Scott .......this is really good but that one is even better........The beautiful Malcom, always the solid back up for his little brother, the mighty Angus.....
But during the 2nd Solo on the Album Cut of this song Angus Marshall Stack caught on Fire during this recording the producer motioned Angus to keep Going that 2nd solo is the sound of a Marshall Going Up in Flames in Real Time.
Angus Young was 55 yrs old at the time. Also there were 3 sold out shows. A total of 750k tickets were sold. You do the math. You can fit 125k fans in a college stadium. River Plate is a huge football ⚽ stadium in Argentina. Look up the # of seats the place has then add on the entire field. Saw them 4 Time's over the year's in the US. One of the best live shows I've ever seen. And I'm 53 and I've seen at least 30 bands in my life. You got a new follower.
Malcolm never gave himself enough credit to keep that up for over 20 minutes albeit not being a flat rhythm constantly swinging takes a lot of work hence the extended solo at the end malcolm and Phil cliff needed a break
Angus energy unmatched!!! But for guitar god that takes it to another level on being one with the guitar, Stevie Ray Vaughn “Texas Flood” live at El Mcambo! You won’t believe it can any better than this…but it can. Hope your prepared even with the hype you’ll still be amaze.
i saw live how he (Angus, of course) was ventilated with oxygen during the gig ... there may be (a few) better ones in terms of technique, but not with his intensity around technique ... Jm2C
Parents yelld : " turn off this crazy loud music !!! " I yelld : " You had Elvis , this is mine , so what ? ! " Thank you Malcom ( RIP ) and Anges ( The Power Beast ) and Bon ( RIP )
phill rudd .... banging hell out of those drums .....22 minutes , let there be rock ....solid ....

Angus is speaking to the crowd with his SG. I have no other words than awesome.
I cannot think of another guitarist that can keep a solo that long while making the audience hang on to every single note. Remember, he came out after this and did an encore!!

AC/DC were so good, they fell into their own genre: Bad Assery!
When he can play one handed at14:00 you no that's talent very few have.😮
And that clean!
Once again Angus redefines senior citizen! Love him!😍
I think Angus is better than any other guitarist in history
That's How To Rock A Show

the best was Malcolm... Angus is "just" the tank engine
Twice I have seen AC/DC live.🤘🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Someone once told Angus he was a rock god. He responded - "I'm not a god -- I'm a monster".
That's funny, because he did an interview in Australia and was asked 'what's it like being considered one of the best guitarists in the world?'. He chuckled and said 'I'm not even the best guitarist in my family'.
