I was around 9 years old when ACDC came on the scene here in Australia, and for the first time I heard them I was addicted. So, I was very lucky to grow with them and watch them become megastars. I have all of their 13 albums, and they are without a doubt, my all-time favorite band. I Just love to watch their WOW ! reaction and the instant smile and nodding of the head to the beat of their music, that these people on these reaction channels experience.
The real star of this track is the rhythm section. Malcom, Phil and Cliff just keep driving that song forward with Angus and Brian sitting on top confident of the pace and shape of the track beneath them. AC/DC has really always been about the rhythm section - the three guys at the back. Angus, Bon and Brian take the limelight (and they are amazing) but the power of the band is at the back of the stage (with the Marshalls!!!)
@@Rassskle Absolute, live at the apollo, just because you have the other singer doing it. Brian will always be the second best singer of ACDC... but nobody can touch Bon Scott.
AC/DC have been playing for 50+ years! Angus started while barely in his teens. I think around"73. as a local band in AU. Early singer was Bon Scott....died in '79 or '80...replaced by Brian Johnson in '80 and really picked up fame rise. Band is still rocking...released "Power Up" in 2020!

back in 74 or 75 not sure but seen them in Paddy's market. in Haymarket. it was about 20 people around just about to rap up the gear to the little truck. had a little conversation with the fellas. who would of known they going to be a powerhouse?
Imo...Angus' solo here is unmatched to this day. I'd also recommend watching anything from AC/DC's concert at Castle Donnington. Every performance there, in front of a massive audience, is amazing!
I've been saying for a while now that it blows me away these reactors aren't really touching Donington. I think that's one of the top 10 live concerts ever put to film.
@@mattroberts3204 Yea isn't that funny? I think let there be rock live at Donnington is way better than River Plate, In Brains voice, Angus's performance, and Cliffs pounding bass make it so good. And its not in E flat tuning..

Hi OGO, This was from Live at River Plate in 2009, lead guitarist Angus Young was 54 years old here, proving that he is one of the greatest Rock n Roll Guitarists ever born, the song itself was originally released in 1977, it's the Title track of the album of the same name, Let There Be Rock, Angus Young is now 67 years old and still performing today in 2022 with AC/DC, lead singer Brian Johnson is now 75 years old and is also still with the band, as is bassist Cliff Williams, now 73 and drummer Phil Rudd, now 68!! 😀 😀 🤘 🤘 🎸 🎸 🎸 Rythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who features in this video sadly passed away in 2017 🙏 🙏 The current rhythm guitarist is Malcolm and Angus's nephew Stevie Young, he's 66 years old 😀😀🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
Thanks Terry for the info.i heard recently there recording new material.i,m from Glasgow so I I have a wee special affinity with these guy,s.in a recent interview Angus was talking about Malcolm and his passing.gutting to watch, but apparently it was Malcolm that came up with alot of the ideas.Angus is a really nice quiet unassuming 5,5 ft guy.same height as me.Brian is a diamond of a man.I honestly believe that Angus is probably the most talented guitar player I have ever seen.he,s doing things I didn't think we're possible!left hand while pointing at the audience.running a distance while playing! anyway 🎸.

First saw the original line up at The Glasgow Apollo nearly half a century ago, everybody was there not worrying about filming, I was about 4m from the stage because I always hated the bouncy balcony. Now too old to be comfortable with that many people and too mean to get ripped off by booking agencies and booking fees! We wanted to go to The Apollo, one of Us had to dip school and go into The Town and buy the tickets at the box office while the rest of Us distracted and covered.
