I just have to tell you that your videos have helped me TREMENDOUSLY! I am an online student in my local college's coding program, and sometimes not having the opportunity for face to face question/answer conversations makes it a little tough. One day I just got frustrated and googled how to find something in the alphabetic index and there you were! Now I'm checking your channel after each section of my textbooks because it helps me understand everything I just highlighted and noted. 3 years after recording your video...you're still helping someone. I would like to thank you coach for this class. I've taken a Coding class before but it was a fast pace. Between working, classroom time and homework studies, there was a lot that I didn't understand. With these courses being online, if there's something that I'm not grasping quickly I can go back and review until I get it. You are a God sent person. Loving your videos! So very helpful in teaching coding. A friend of mine is certified and currently going through her practicum exercises and had me try coding a case to see how I liked it. I absolutely loved it! I got 6 out of 6 on that case! She helped me with pulling information from the case that we read over together. And only had to help me with how to find codes needed from her CPT code book. But, I did all the ICD-10-cm code book look up myself. And attempted the CPT look up; just had to have some assistance with where to look and how to use that book to look up what codes I needed. But; I pulled together all the information I had learned from your videos and it was so fun!

Hi, Im a medical transcriptionist from the Philippines and graduated with a degree in Medical Technology... I just moved here in Las Vegas...I want to ask how long it will take me to finish the training if I enroll in a certain school.... will my medical background be considered so that I could finish the training in a shorter time.... your videos are very helpful...thank you
Maria, that will depend on the school. Some schools are 8 months long, others are a full year. It also depends on which certification you are planning to sit for. The school will also have to determine if they will consider your medical background. I definitely feel you background will help you with medical coding.
