He means that most pop songs only uses ‘the same’ four chords of any given key which is quite true and really repetitive to listen to. The repetitiveness and lack of melody is why pop music has gone down the drain even though it in aome cases surprisingly sounds good.
The only thing I don’t really like about most of these songs is that, although they are some pretty cool guitar parts, they just loop that same guitar part over and over in a lot of them to the point that they just feel boring and uninspired. Great playing though, and awesome video my dude

I saw the title, and thought, "He's gonna have to rush these". Then you started talking before playing and I was sure it was going to be hard to pull off 25 songs in 6 minutes. Then you're done before 5 minutes, and it didn't feel rushed at all.

Well jpop and jrock always were heavily influenced by jazz and funk music. One trope I really love about 10s jpop and jrock tho are fast-paced riffs, I think we should thank wowaka (RIP) for it.

Jealous dude. ;-) I'm a restarter, meaning I used to play acoustic back in the ... 1970s when I was a teenager (I turned 20 in 1983), I grew up with the likes of the Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Jim Croce, James Taylor and lots of ... yeah... Getz/Gilberto and the Brazil '66. (Portuguese family)... I had a strict guitar teacher back then who made me so angry about how he constantly told me I could not experiment and he demanded I played a certain way. That I just gave up and stopped going to him. I honestly don't regret doing that, but I do regret that he upset me enough about playing guitar that I stopped for a good long time. I'm already a pianist, since I was 8, and I am going to be 58 in January... I saw so many talented young people doing stuff my guitar teacher back then would have chopped my hands off for doing -- and I decided I was going to try that. So I invested in my first new guitars - which include a couple of Epiphones and Fenders, Acoustic, Electric and E-Bass, and just for fun a Fender Uke. I'm trying out each to see where I actually fit in best. (Plus as all guitar players and enthusiasts know - you gotta own them all).
