Cheers Lee hope all is good with you, yes the ally checker plate and the stainless bumper cover works really well, I'm a bit ocd so if I hadn't fitted those items all the plastic would have got scratched and scuffed and done my head in!! Hope you get to watch the other 3 van videos 🤘🤘
Oh hi mahdi hope all is well with you and your family, thanks for such a nice comment, its hard work sometimes being organised in a small van especially when you have extra fittings, tools and equipment in and your away with the van, can be a bit stressful buuuut that's why iv done it this way so the deck is mainly clear for extra stuff for going on bigger jobs 🤘🤘
Thank you friend, when I have a 3 metre length of unistrut or a length of 54mm copper through into the cab it does rest up against the passenger door and I have to give it a bit of a shuv to shut it!!! Apart from that I'm super stoked, never had such an awesome van, cheers for watching sir.
Hi there Thomas hope you and your family are well, if I have to put on the roof rack for say a big ladder or some 4" soil pipe what I do is cut the zip clips, take the bars and lift them onto to the van roof (the bolts which hold the bars onto the roof are held on to the bar brackets with captive nuts and the fixing nuts are always left loose on the bolts so I don't lose them) on the 4 bracket ends iv cut a rectangle piece of rubber which stops the van getting scratched, anyway then I just push the captive bolts through the van roof and fasten with a socket set with a long socket on it on the inside (now then, the holes where the roof bars fit through the roof of the van really need a waterproof grommet putting in when the roof bars are not on but iv not sourced any yet so I just put a blob of silicone over the 4 holes on the roof (they are only like errrr 7mm or something) it sounds like a big job but in reality it only takes a minute and I only have the roof bars on very rarely, I love the look of the van without roof bars but I always need them just in case, mmmmm I have been thinking of changing the set up and getting roof rails put onto the van (you know the cool black and aluminium ones that run front to back and then have the clamp on removable bars which I can put inside) anyway I better stop talking, it's like war a peace this message!!!! Cheers for watching dude 🤘
Hi Martin, thanks for the comment, mmmm well if I seem a bit wired while talking about the van it's not coffee I'm afraid ( side note I love cheap instant coffee!!, when I get a Starbucks or such like they give me indigestion!!) as you can probably tell I'm ocd about the back of the van and I probably come across as a bit manic!!, also I'm trying to keep the video short hence the speed talking! , I could have easily made the video 3 times as long waffling on about every little detail!!!. Thanks for watching sir 🤘
@@UKTOOLTALK I may try some instant coffee myself. Fairplay with work on the van very impressive. I got some ideas from your van that I can incorporate into my van.
Oh hi John hope all is good with you, good question dude, what jobbing plumber means well at least to me is a plumber who does lots of little jobs in the day, some repairs and some small installs ie a new pair of taps, what that means is that you need lots of different tools and fittings in the van all the time so if you go to a job your probably going to be able to fix whatever it is and not go and find a merchants,it's harder working this way with a small van and I'm constantly doing stock check to make sure I have the right gear, the firm I work for does half domestic, half commercial so its not easy, in the morning I might be fixing a toilet and in the afternoon I might be in a commercial plant room fixing a 2"steel pipe or taking out a massive flanged pump!!, I guess the other kind of plumber is a site plumber who just works on new builds and needs less specialist tools and fittings, I'd hate to be one of those!! Putting in identical heating systems and bathrooms day in day out, if I had to do that I'd be looking for a new job!! Hope this helps and thanks for watching and commenting 🤘
Hi nasser glad your back, where have you been?, yes the ridgid or keter system seem really cool, I have been thinking of swapping over to a system like that, watch this space, I need to figure something out to get my power tools in and out of the van in one go without wrecking my back and arms, iv got tendernitas in my right elbow really bad!!!! Anyway thanks for watching sir your a star 🌟
@@UKTOOLTALK screw fix got the tough system 2.0 starter set with wheeled base cabinet £150. much better than mine as in a variety of boxes. mine you only get 4 styles of boxes and although very tough the handle is a little naff on the main box. i smashed my first one. the Dewalt tough system seems stronger. pack out are probably the best but flipping expensive almost twice the Dewalt. i hear DeWalt t stack are to be avoided. but the tough system 1 or 2 are great and compatible.
@@UKTOOLTALK also love the racking i went with heavy-duty metal and wood garage shelving and a sack full of bungee cords lol. cost me about £100 all in I m a cheapskate i know :)
Allright Jon, love the van hope your doing well mate, you might remember me when I used to work at ss, give David my regards, good to see your enjoying yourself mate very entertaining 😊👍 Brad
@@UKTOOLTALK Sedbergh school mate 👍 haha, yeah I left in 2015 but I remember you well, mostly wore a hat from what i remember of you are you still working with Neil?
Thanks dude!!, funny little story about the van, last week it went into limp mode so I took it to the garage and they couldn't diagnose what the problem was for 3 days!!!, it ended up being my fault!!. When I shelved out the van I'd disconnect one of the earth wire and thats why couldn't diagnose the fault!!! Got a bollocking of the garage and my boss!!!, oh well, cheers for watching (ps the van is back and driving sweet as a nut)
Hi luke merry Christmas, thanks for watching my van video and sending a picture of a ear, I presume your concerned about my ear wax problem!!, thanks for caring, it's not to bad at the moment, the last really bad incident was about 4 months ago when both ears got totally blocked and I had to go to a private ear clinic to get them blasted out, oh man I couldnt hear a thing and my balance was all out!!, when they got all the gunk out I could have made a candle and sold it on ebay!!! Anyway my ears are OK at the mo and probably working at 75%, iv been working with power tools now for 34 years and not always with ear defenders and all them punk gigs!!! Of well rock on dude 🤘🤘
