wow, blindfolded with just J perms sounds extremely tough. My first try sighted was around 2 minutes, so I feel like an actual J perm method blindfolded would take forever. BUT if you allow a bit of cheating, i can already imagine that an old pochmann method using J perm as the only allowed swapping algorithm would actually be pretty simple. All you need is new setup moves and the method is complete.
I actually realized just from thinking and experimenting that....it's also possible to use the Old Pochmann blindfold method using nothing but Jb perms, or even Tperms, as well as others including the modified Yperm which all 3 are commonly used in the Old Pochmann method. I noticed that, although it's not for speed cubing, I realized that even though Jperm and Tperm are taught for edges, meanwhile the Yperm is used on the corners, that any of these 3 algs can be also used interchangeably. For example, Tperm or Jperm can be used for both edges and even the corners too, as long as the buffer and target concepts are used. I noticed also that many people think the buffer and the target are written in stone, however, using Speffz lettering scheme for example, B doesn't have to be the buffer. You can even switch whenever you want B and D being the target or buffer at will, as long as you don't mess up the correct pieces on each side when doing setup and unsetup moves. I like to use Tperm and Jperm for not only the edges but also for the corners using usually B as the buffer for corners, and C as the target. This way, for people who aren't interested in speed, we can solve blindfolded now with just one algorithm! All Tperms or even all Jperms. As for parity, just do a DAD and that eliminates the need for Ra perm
I like how J perm thinks differently for giveaways because random people can just look up TH-cam videos and enter giveaways by liking and stuff. But you have to actually put in effort to enter this giveaway which makes actually winning the giveaway much more rewarding and resulting in you feeling more accomplished.
The contests where you like the video and comment aren’t real, they can’t tell if you liked it or not. And they don’t even announce when they gieveaway ends.
You can also just use the first J perm. What I do is first fix the plus edges, then the second layer edges. To orient the top edges I use a second layer edge as buffer. Then I swap the top edges to fix them. For the corners I do a J perm on the corner I want to move swapping it to the place I want it to be. Then I do another J perm that intersects with just a corner of the previous J perm. Then I do the first J perm again and the second again. This swaps 3 corners. I use that to get 3 corners correct on the bottom. For the 4th one I use a trash corner to not mess up the correct 3 corners. To fix the top corners I move a bottom corner to the top to orient the top corners and then swap them all to the right spot. Btw I think that standard J perm is totally legal if you just include that U' in the J perm.
I think we shall name it as CLJ Method. C: Cross and first 2 layers. L: Last edge orientation of the last layer. J: J perm permutation of the last layer.
Thoughts: if a j perm is a pll, technically the last move would be part of the algorithm because it swaps 2 edges and 2 corners, not 4 edges and 4 corners
He talks about this with his "Can every PLL [spoiler alert: not E or Z] be turned into a commutator with Jb and maybe a U move or two?" video. Jb is 2e2c, Jb U (or Jb U') is 3e3c, and Jb U2 is 4e4c.
With your content, you’ll have no problem hitting 100K by the end of this year!! Keep it up! :) I remember back when you had around 1,000 subs and look how far you’ve come now!
I do blindfolded and its very similar with what u did, so, when u did OLL and used trial and error, u can actually predict which collor goes where, its just remember that the collor that is on the top side when u do the perm will stay on that same side, the other two collor swap
1:19- I discovered this alg when I learnt niklas, which is a coll for sune and antisune. like u skip pll using niklas when normal sune gives j perm. vice versa is also true. u get j perm in niklas when u get pll skip using normal sune. using that knowledge and combing the algs and cancelling some moves, u get the algs shown on the screen
you may use the regular alg + U' (or lefty alg + U) for your entry. it's more of a rule I set for myself to not do extra U moves but practically speaking it doesn't really matter.
ive thought about the same thing and worked out my own logic, i didnt know someone else posted it lol, also i didnt use any new algorithms i just modified the most frequently used one with u and u' moves respective to the right and left handed types, damn you for posting this 5 years before i even thought about it, good job working this out :)
J Perm, I'm a lefty, but I learned to solve a rubik cube from someone who was a righty. I wasn't used to it, but I had to adapt. Thanks for including the Lefty though! Many leftys would probably find it useful.
That final U on the other J-perm algorithm is not cheating. I'd argue that that move is actually the last one of the J-perm algorithm, since you would expect it to leave the cube in the exact same state as before, only with those 4 pieces moved around. I'd go so far as to say that it isn't a J-perm algorithm unless you include that last U turn. (I think it was actually U'... you get the idea)
Thank you for the video! It really helped me with middle layer tips even when not solving the cube with J perms! Also the J perm alg I use=(R U R’)F’(R U R’ U’)(R’ F)(R2 U’ R’ U’)
You can get a U-Perm if placing the side with only one wrong piece to the left and doing a right J-Perm, U-Perm is solved by placing the solved side to the left and doing a right J-Perm and then doing a left J-Perm on the opposite side, I know this bcz I have solved a 3x3 using only J-Perms before seeing this video and without using internet
I honestly don't see how adding a U' turn to the end of the regular J perm is any different than using an algorithm that has it built in...it does the same thing. When I first learned the J perm I learned it with that extra U' at the end so that's what I used for solving this. I used that and the other J perm which is the same as the lefty version, just rotated.
Can we do any other j perm algs beside the one in the video? I notice if I do 2 j perm(the regular one) right next to each other it become a U2 so I think it could be very helpful for the solve
Saw the title of the video and immediately tried it without getting very far with only the right J-perm. Figured out the 3 j-perm rotation thing myself, but refused to use it. Watched a bit. Fiddled with edge orientation until I was able to solve F2L with good edges, and used my knowledge of the existence of commutators to stumble my way into an antisune and the one with two opposite corners mis-oriented. I stumbled into N-perm and T-perm using just J-perms, but my PLL was just a J-perm. It was meant to be.
Hello J Perm, can I ask.. I feel my cube (Thunderclap) sort of "unstable" when I do some turn or alghoritms (or mainly wide turns) I accidentaly move the middle layer or just all sides move a little bit from place (sort of "breaks" in my hands), so I get lockups and it sometimes slows me. Thanks for help how to not overturn or get lockups.
@@doglovespvp127 That's the one I use (usually). By the way, did you mean to have a U (or maybe U') between the last two moves? I need to slow down to even use L' U R U' L U2 R' U R U2 R' correctly, because I try to use the first algorithm instead!

Could anyone help me? I have a OLL with 2 misoriented corners , the one where they both face opposite directions (not bow tie) could anyone help me with how to solve it please?
you mean T? i ran into this after filming the tutorial and realized it's impossible haha. just kidding. swap one of the corners so it becomes a bowtie or headlights case, then you'll be fine.
i haven't tried t perm only, but it sounds much harder. j perm preserves a huge block of pieces, which almost feels like cheating. what if we had to solve the whole cube with R perm?
Just a beginner feeling happy Solving cube and trying to recognize all the plls there exist ( I usually use T perm twice in worst case coz I only know that PLL as a beginner) Got a j perm jump right into the vid to know the j perm alg and there solved the cube Yeahhh.... J Perm is great..😘😘
I did watch this video 3 months ago and then forgot about his channel ( i used to watch him earlier) And then yesterday tried to solve a cube using jperms and figured out the exact same method somehow.. not fake
The Jb you show is the exact one I know (it's what I learned when I was figuring out how to swap adjacent corners on the 2x2). I don't know the mirror version that well.
This was really funny, sadly saw the video far too late for the giveaway, but I'm learning 2-look and needed to drill J perms anyway, so I decided to do this for fun. I actually really enjoyed it, not a bad way to work on muscle memory tbh

I think it kind of depends on which hand you use to write. I don’t know, I’m right handed and I find R U2 R’ U’ R U2 L’ U R’ L
Easier
@@doglovespvp127 That's the one I use (usually). By the way, did you mean to have a U (or maybe U') between the last two moves?
I need to slow down to even use L' U R U' L U2 R' U R U2 R' correctly, because I try to use the first algorithm instead!
J perm: *gets national record for FMC*
J perm: they should have an event called MMC (most moves count), this is the tutorial for MMC
Math Kinger just do R’ Lw a billion times before starting the solve
Now this is the new definition of solving a cube with 1 algorithm
From 40 000 subs three years ago now he is 756K and smth..man...i am sooooo optimistic about this that this guy..yes you Dylan will reach 1M subscribers..i am sooo sure of this and i cant wait when you do so☺️☺️
The hardest part was probably when he did the J Perm
Nah, it was when he did the J perm that was tougher
I learned 3bld from you can you teach mbld or big bld
GNS Cuber For MBLD, it’s just the memorization, and there are other tutorials on big cube bld. Also, don’t even know if J-Perm knows how to do those.
He should try it
Carter Cuber he actually dont do every event
GNS Cuber he should still try it
Carter Cuber but it is his decision
There should be a Rubik's cube with brail for blind people
it exists
I am fascinated by your tutorials even though you talk quickly and spin quickly too. It's awesome too that you just want to help people who are beginners to solve a Rubik's Cube. I need to find someone in NYC who will teach me how to solve a Rubik's Cube.
Man, I did not realize that J perm will almost get 1 million subs. Can't wait to see such a sight.
If we get a better time later like we got a 2 minute solve then a 1 minute solve can we reupload it
yes as long as I can easily find the video on your channel in 2 weeks.
OLL - If 2 diagonals are swapped
PLL - U2
Are both Ja and Jb perms allowed?
Ja
Noice
Christian Alsaker Henriksen yes
he altered the algorithms so no. you can only use his algorithms i think. good luck with the challenge
Most people say yes, but i don't really care because it got much easier with just jb.. I've done f2l but oll is kind of tricky
Good job dude... you make the new method from J Permutation and now i called it J perm Method
I don’t know if you knew this but the last move on the original J perm is u prime so you can actually Include the last move move
Really cool idea for a giveaway!! 10/10 :D
Watching in October 2019
And....... I can do it much faster by using just R and L moves

How to solve a Rubik's cube using J perm
Easiest method (not tried and tested)
Step 1-enter into J perm's House
Step 2- kidnap him
Step 3-force him to solve the cube
Vaibhav utreja you stole dead channels comment
I just solved the cube only with jperm (learned the new algorithms for it) a couple of times and it's so much fun!
I have a weird jb perm alg that works: hold the solved side to ur left hand and do L', U, R, U', L, U2, R', U, R, U2, R'
my friend recently asked me how you are so good at solving cubes.
I told him "he's asian ._. "
that answered his question..
Could anyone help me? I have a OLL with 2 misoriented corners , the one where they both face opposite directions (not bow tie) could anyone help me with how to solve it please?
Theta Twister I mean with J Perms lol
you mean T? i ran into this after filming the tutorial and realized it's impossible haha.
just kidding. swap one of the corners so it becomes a bowtie or headlights case, then you'll be fine.
J Perm ah haha I’m on mobile so I only got part of the notification lol thanks for the help, one of my fav cubers for sure with Kian Mansour
Zentai Design if you haven't found it already make one of the misoriented corners face you from the left and do r U R' U' r' F R F'
Marcus Mallari ok
why couldn't your name have been Tperm
Logan Michael =/
Arjun Anand Tperm is easier to do this
Logan Michael I know. That's why I'm mad
using only tperms to solve a3x3 is actually much harder lol
i haven't tried t perm only, but it sounds much harder. j perm preserves a huge block of pieces, which almost feels like cheating. what if we had to solve the whole cube with R perm?
Just a beginner feeling happy
Solving cube and trying to recognize all the plls there exist ( I usually use T perm twice in worst case coz I only know that PLL as a beginner)
Got a j perm jump right into the vid to know the j perm alg and there solved the cube
Yeahhh....
J Perm is great..😘😘
Jperm doing Jperm
Love you j....😃😃
:)
Perm
For the one person who sees this I just want to let you know
That God loves you ♥️
nah
Lucas Lucas yas
He loves you
@@AlexKing-tg9hl thx, but nah. I rly doubt
@@lucaspetersen5074 maybe he would...if he was real that is. Which he isn't.
Nice!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, coming back to this video when J Perm hit 40K, but he has 666K now, amazing
Your tutorials are superior because you are very clear in your teaching. 👍
March 9 is my mom’s birthday
Jorge Corcho who cares
Jorge Corcho same
CLASH MASTER Who cares about you
CLASH MASTER tbh that was kind of rude..
D. Tbh many people around the U.S. cares for me
I did watch this video 3 months ago and then forgot about his channel ( i used to watch him earlier)
And then yesterday tried to solve a cube using jperms and figured out the exact same method somehow.. not fake
The Jb you show is the exact one I know (it's what I learned when I was figuring out how to swap adjacent corners on the 2x2). I don't know the mirror version that well.
It’s amazing that you gained twice the amount of subscribers since the beginning of the year
This was really funny, sadly saw the video far too late for the giveaway, but I'm learning 2-look and needed to drill J perms anyway, so I decided to do this for fun. I actually really enjoyed it, not a bad way to work on muscle memory tbh
