The most likely zombie plagues to happen are ones that aren't dead aka mind controlling fungus that already plague insects in rain forest genetically modified rabies stuff like that. That isn't going to help in any zombie outbreak that could actually happen.

If a Zombie apocalypse were to break out, the biggest threat wouldn’t be the zombies, but humans to themselves.
Personaly i feel as though other infections could be more of a problem because think about how many people there would be... most likley not many so then u wouldnt find any often and going with that no medical support to help with infections.
It would not break out. That's the point here. Zombies are by definition lesser than humans, therefore humans would stomp them out. There could not ever be a zombie apocalypse. Real diseases are far more insidious and dangerous. Basically they are the same thing, except the host of the illness does not become a rotting pile of flesh. The reason why contagious diseases are contagious is because people do not know they are carrying a disease.... zombies are literally walking dead people for fucks sake.

The virus would not be biological (biological viruses cannot animate dead people), it would be technological, and would most likely not be from Earth. Here is how it would work to produce exactly what one sees depicted in movies and television series about the zombie apocalypse:
1. Extraterrestrials drop off nanotechnology virus in atmosphere, perhaps for sick entertainment (we cannot assume extraterrestrials have empathy or concern for humans) or to cull the heard, even to save resources they figure they might need in the future.
2. The nano-virus reproduces and infects everyone on Earth.3.
3. The nano-virus then creates networks in the bodies and brains of most people who are infected, and they die from the process. It also builds networks in the eyes, nose, and ears for crude sensory input, and the virus invades the brain to build the control network on the microscopic level. The networks are not visible to the naked eye, if one were to cut open a zombie.
4. The dead are reanimated with microscopic nanobot fibers, built and embedded in the flesh, that act like muscle fibers to animate the corpse, and the apocalypse takes over the Earth extremely quickly, as everyone is already infected. The government and military also turn, so there are no agencies to save the living from the apocalypse.
5. The nano-virus maintains the dead by keeping the flesh and blood from drying out and going stiff, and puts antifreeze into dead flesh in winter to keep the dead from freezing solid. The virus does minimal repair to the rotting flesh so zombies will last indefinitely.
6. Damaging the brain damages the control network built into the brain, so the zombie goes down, but harming the rest of the body does not stop it.
7. Being bitten activates the virus, and dying of any cause will also do so.

I can't remember who made the study, but based on highly infectious diseases that we know about, it would take a matter of days for a hypothetical zombie virus (based on most common versions, such as in the walking dead) to infect the world. This is due to how quickly people can now travel around the world.
Additionally, while weather elements would definetily take it's toll, the rotting of zombie may not happen as quickly as in nature. Perhaps the same virus that infects the dead would also slow the natural rotting process when no other factors are present. Just something to think on.

Ichabod Crane actually for there to be decay there has to be dead cells, just about every zombie virus thought of in movies reanimates dead cells. Therefore getting rid of the possibility of zombie decaying. And for the weather it wouldn't effect them, the same virus would more than likely give the cells immunity to extreme cold and heat in order to spread the infection like the virus wants. Aside from I am legend and world war z all other zombie viruses are a super bacteria that have grown an immunity to all vaccines.

Jamaine Elmore now that's a pretty dumb question. Do VIRUSES die from extreme cold(Antarctica is exempt from that rule) or heat that humans can handle? The answer to that is no. Weather isn't enough to kill a virus unless it's weather hot or cold enough to destroy the human race as well
thank you for making this video I use to be really worried about zombies. Even though I new it would probably never happen or at least not in my time the thought of a zombie apocalypse while I sleep would render me sleepless for the next 45-60 minutes. that might not seem to bad but, the horror that went threw my mind while was terrible.
