  • I review the cordless beard straightener by Nisperos from Amazon, also known as a wireless heated brush. This is very similar to another one on the market, but is half the price.

      Received the brush today. Charged for 5 hours, but had to use the included USB-C/USB-A cable. The Google USB-C cable from my Pixel didn't work. Brush on low heat had no issue heating while showering. Damp Dried beard. Applied beard oil, waited for 7 min. The brush did sizzle and steamed moisture. I did test the heated pic on the end. after pushing in side hair to mat the hair, pic volumizes hair easily. Light down stroke did take care of fly away hairs. My white chin hair still has a bit of a wave but assume that it will take time to train. With heating and use it was about 20-25 minutes battery use. Some Amazon reviews said they only got 2 uses before battery died. Overall it performed as I anticipated on first try....only concern is.Extreme AZ heat (100 to 118F) coming soon. I worry my beard might be too dry to use from low humidity, not counting summer rains. Hydration is the name of the game in the desert. Any feedback is appreciated. Hope my comments help others.

    I bought a cheapo heated brush from the jungle store just to see if it’ll be something I’ll use to help ‘train’ my beard. Training my beard is like training a puppy. It does what it wants, when it wants, how it wants, and doesn’t really care what I want!!

    I actually picked up a heated brush from Walmart a couple weeks ago. It's from a company called wild Willie's. It has three settings: 320 (low), 360 (med), and 410 (high). I paid 30 dollars for it and it's a corded brush. I use the low setting and for the length of beard that I have, I'm happy with the results I get from it.

    I liked using my heated brush when my beard was short, but for my longer beard I find they make my beard flatter and stringy looking. Artificially straight. Whereas a blow dryer adds volume and gives a more natural look.

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s where using both tools comes in for me. Blowdryer on everything, heated brush only on my mustache and sides. I absolutely hate the look of both areas without the heated brush

    • @HCkev
      @HCkev ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had this realization as my beard got longer, but I figured out I was just overdoing it, and yes, it's very easy to straighten your beard too much with these, they certainly give you the ability to make it perfect straight, but yeah, doesn't look natural. Now I use a lower temperature setting and mainly use quick strokes for the most part (the exception is on my chin, in order to get rid of that dreaded beard dip, as well as my sideburns to get rid of the flyaways) and purposely keep some of the natural hair waves and "imperfection", I'm satisfied with the way my beard look. (my beard is about 5.5 inches from my bottom lip)

  • @incredibles11
    @incredibles11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video Teach! Quick question, if you can’t think of any cons what makes this still a mid-tier heated brush and not a top tier? Is it because it hasn’t been tested for longevity yet or you mean tier only according to price? So how does this compare with an Aberlite for example?

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly. What I have found to be the difference (get what you pay for thing) over the last 5 years with heated brushes is the cheaper ones don’t last as long and there is little to no customer service (after the Amazon return timeline).

  • @CloverTac
    @CloverTac ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have only ever used one heated brush, the one I have now. That one certainly looks interesting, maybe birthday, Christmas, Father's Day but don't think I am willing to go out and by it since what I have works. You mentioned that you like a low heat. I probably should find my laser thermomenter and measure mine one day. I can't recall the brand but it came from Wal-Mart and is corded. It has three settings and I do find the lowest setting definitely works best for me. Question! You say to wait 5 minutes, which i do, but sometimes it is a bit longer, probably not more than 10 minutes. I would think if it has been long enough to dry out completely, that is not good, right? So at tha tpoint do you damp, re oil and start over? What would the procedure be?

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  ปีที่แล้ว

      You do want it slightly damp. If it totally dries (10 minutes should be still okay) I would just splash a little water and water 30 seconds or so

    Interesting. I can see the draw of a cordless and who knows, maybe I'll pickup that new Aberlite. At the very least I'll probably upgrade to the Aberlite pro in the future. Good to know this is a mid range cost brush that is good. Also really happy to be using the brush on my mustache and side burns only. I was using it instead of a blow dryer, especially in the morning because the bathroom is attached to the kids room wall, but now I really know I need a balance of both.

What are your thoughts/experiences using a heated brush over a hair dryer, and have you burned yourself? anytime you go over a budget option, especially a heated brush, I always say there are a few main risks:
      1) the battery
      2) the customer service
      1) the longevity
      I make sure to be clear this is a budget option and was also highlighting another company sells this same one for $99.
      This is not my top recommendation for a heated brush, but it is a good budget option. And things can go wrong. A couple of weeks is not normal. Try your Amazon return, and if it’s not within that window, contact the company.
