    New to your channel Dan, I’ve been growing my beard for about a year and a half now.
    I use beard oil that a lady from my church whips up with essential oils. Shout out to 7 Arrows Beard Oil (Scott & Amanda Black)
    Now I use a heated brush that my daughter bought me for Christmas everyday and I love it.
    However last week I was on a mission trip over in Liberia Africa and didn’t have access to power for my brush.
    I tell you with it being like 90 something degrees and 100% humidity everyday my beard looked and felt like a Brillo pad 😂
    -So I’m like “I gotta get a cordless version of a heated brush”
    So anyway I’m going to Honduras in a couple weeks for another mission trip so I’m going to use your link to buy me this cordless unit this morning.
    Thanks Dan, beard looks good on ya brother.

    Hey mister C,
    I am happy for you that companies appreciate your professionalism and want to work with you.
    I spoke to a barber about straighteners like this. Referring to the "formula" (heat + tension = direction) he was wondering about how much tension products like the Go 2 could provide, especially in the case of beards that aren't so dense. He seems to work with a blow dryer in combination with a "round brush". What do you think; is this product only for those with dense beards?
    It happens that I don't have a dense beard, so I'm wondering what this product can do for me. What I think I want to do is to provide direction to hairs in areas where they basically stick out, growing sideways in slightly separate directions, causing a bit of "see through" effect. I guess I'm trying to "stack" them in the same direction. Now this might reduce the perception of volume, but we'll have to see.
    Knowing that you take time to answer quite a bit of questions, using the affiliate link is perhaps the least we viewers could do.
    Thanks in advance

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I am very fortunate to have power outlets in my work van, because I don’t always have time to get my beard just the way I want it, so I will go light on the oil in the morning, and when I have time, or on a break at work I can finish by dampening my beard, adding a little more oil, waiting 5 min, then get my beard styled for the day. I could see me asking Santa for this, especially since my Aberlite is still working, but it seems like something I could definitely use. 😊

Been using thick wood and the big Chicago combs, that sleep in the freezer, for comparison. IMHO about the same.The beard wants what it wants and when it wants…..that is the mission. 30-minutes doesn't sound like much time, but, as my beard gets longer, I don't spend as much time using a heated brush. 30-minutes run time is at least a week. Great deal!

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I initially thought the exact same thing about the time, and then I broke it down realized that was 4-5 generous uses. Hasn’t been an issue with me at all!

    • @reubenk7331
      @reubenk7331 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DanCBearded I also wondered was that 30 minutes of run time at full heat, or 30 minutes with heat up time. I would imagine that is run time at temperature, seeing as it has a fairly generous 5000 mah battery. Also checked their website and it says 30-60 minutes so that may be at the lowest setting, and the highest setting.

    Has anyone switched from the Wild Willies brand heated brush to Aberlite? Is it worth the switch? My main complaint with Wild Willies is it is difficult to clean because the teeth are so close together. Other than that it seems to work fine, although I have zero frame of reference as it’s the only one I’ve ever used.

    One thing (the only thing) i dont like about the Pro is the location of the temp control. I constantly click it while using the brush and change my temp inadvertently. Drives me nuts. It looks like the temp control is in a similar location - Does this one have a temp lock to avoid that issue?

    Three questions: does the base plug in to the wall and charge the brush?
    How tall is it when in the base (thinking about putting it in a drawer)?
    Can you preheat it in the base or when plugged in and then remove it to use?

    Dan,
    I bought the Aberlite go 2 based on your recommendation.
    I’ve only had it about a week. But every time I use it, it’s smokes a little. I don’t know if this is because it’s brand new or possibly because I had residual product that wasn’t completely dry. Any idea if this is normal?

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      There may be a bit of steam or pop if your beard is too wet. Actual smoke shouldn’t happen though

      Thanks a lot for your reply, I really appreciate it. I know how busy you are!
      I don’t get any pops, but I suppose it could be steam and not really smoke.
      I do notice some gunk on the bristles… What’s the best way to clean this?

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it works for you, then nothing! If you are asking my the general differences between budget straighteners and one like this, I would say:
      - longevity, almost always the cheap ones go bad quicker and have no warranty or customer service
      - heat up quicker
      - get the job done quicker
      - safer protection of the heat on your beard

Just simply search “dan c bearded heated brush” on TH-cam and you will find at least 6 different brands of heated brushes I cover, and all were compensated for. When I can work with literally any heated brush company, paid doesn’t change a thing. 😊

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not, but I’ll see if I can later today! I think it might not be a perfect measure though because the heat is protected on the ends to be skin safe. So I’m not sure if it will be able to truly grab the temps, but doesn’t hurt to try

    • @birdie1497
      @birdie1497 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanCBearded thanks Dan that would be great as long as its reasonably close I’m buying. The one I bought tested about 100 to 125 off from the 3 settings and the 392 degrees setting only barely hit 270 degrees. I did check the whole heating surface but I understand about the ends being skin safe so just check the center of the heating brush. My daily plug in brush is not accurate when checked with the infrared thermometer but it’s close enough to the actual settings and works well. I’m just looking for a quality cordless brush when I’m out camping and have no access to 120v power source.
