great stuff and thanks. i've seen the abridged edition of this but it did not have all of the "down the line" footage which really shows Moe perfect single plane. i was lucky enough to have seen Moe in the spring of 1999 in Orlando, Florida - he was ~ 68/69 years old - and these videos, as great as they are, do not give you the full picture of just how pure he hit the ball. he hit balls for 90 minutes and never missed one - not one- shot. the ball had a flight akin to a farris wheel, straight up and down in a straight line motion (a pipeline indeed) and directly at his assigned target. The Myth about Moe being the purest of all ball strikers was absolutely true and i'm just happy that i got to witness it.

Am I the only one seeing this......? Moe's "secret".......or rather one of them! Look what he does just before he take back(start swing).....He push club fwd.......2inches......so infact clubface dont face the ball......the hossle.....hell of club face ball, thus he takes back the club from outward path.....naturaly(sub concience) it returns to ball on desired path going through ball. Watch closely!

It Kills me that I got in to golf after Moe Passed .I discovered him while looking Up "Greg Normans swing "and saw this old guy hitting the ball and was instantly hooked on Moe . Took me years to get his method but im playing the best golf so far using Moes swing . Its just easier . I really wished I could have met him and watched him hit balls maybe even hit some with him .

      johnathan wetherill
Johnathon - I was privileged to see Moe Norman several times, and no one hit the ball as “pure each time” as him.
He could hit each club in his bag exactly where he said it would go. Driver, 3 iron, 5 iron, wedge … he didn’t care.
Slice, fade, draw, hook, straight, high, low, even along the ground … and end up where he said it would … all the time I watched him.
      Note
He was autistic to a degree that kept him from being one of the best players in the world.
He couldn’t handle people when they picked on him. Don’t think they knew what autism was back then. Sad story. But he made the best of it. RIP Moe !!!

Moe said he learned his swing from Manuel De La Torre. Look up Manuels book and you have his simple swing action and go from there.

@@shofey I think his comments about Del Torre were in his last few years about a slight grip change. He always said he learned his swing naturally. Not trying to argue just opening conversation about it. I’ve watched a lot of Moe footage as well as Del Torre. My swing I feel is cross between the 2. More Trevino then anyone else I suppose. 😆

Wouldn’t it be great to have a shot tracker on some of his shots. I’ve never been able to see his ball flights on anything I’ve seen.
This particular video shows his hand action which I’ve never seen. Impressive.

All what you have to do is to practice for hours and hours on the weakness of your swing and find the swing that fits your body you will hit the ball with joy

Nobody have the same exact swing, but we can learn some and put its in our own swing. I post my own version of Moe swing on my channel.

But the gaffer caught the impact! Awesome, considering (s)he was tip toeing through snowbird nests. So, thankful they were both there to capture one of the too few glimpses of Moe, caught on tape.

His attack angle is so shallow , goes against the compression theory

The shallow attack allows him to stay square for so long. He's compressing the ball plenty.

      @fradaja ปีที่แล้ว

@@antonwilson3597 nah , it’s a sweep , virtually no compression , which is why he can address with the club 10” behind the ball

@@fradajaI hit 8 irons 155 with his swing and make beautiful shallow debits watch his iron swims in slow motion he gets compression but it's literally perfect Everytime

The audience counted to 9 but in fact it was about 4 or 5 seconds.
