Will you bring this type of videos back for one or two more next year in 2024 Cris 😊 i am thinking a Suzuki Alto as my first car Chris if i pass in 2024. 😮 Seems okay for London driving:)
Hello Chris, quick question. I want to get your opinion on something. Im currently having driving lessons. Though I have fair knowledge of driving, my instructor keeps telling me to keep moving as long as I have priority. However, I’m a defensive driver, I slow down anytime I see someone trying to cut across me ( they pretty much are aggressive drivers). My instructor says I should keep moving, adding that my slowing down might result to a fault. What do you think about this? Thanks
Hey! I understand your concern about aggressive drivers, and it's important to prioritise safety on the road. Slowing down unexpectedly, especially when you have priority can sometimes lead other drivers to misinterpret your intentions. They might perceive it as an invitation to pull out in front of you, thinking they have enough time. By maintaining a steady pace when you have priority but still being careful, you're signalling to other drivers that you're continuing on your path, reducing the likelihood of misinterpretation and potential conflicts. It's all about finding that balance between being defensive and not being over-cautious.
I can understand too. Just last week I had an aggressive van driver behind me at a junction when I was signalling to turn right onto a busy main road and it wasn’t safe to go yet. He was flashing his lights at me and beeping at me to go so I ended up turning left and turning around in a nearby petrol station because he was upsetting me. I’ve been driving for over 3 years now and unfortunately aggressive drivers can still sometimes make me feel like I’m doing something wrong when I’m not and then cause some anxiety. But it’s important to remember that when people are being aggressive, they’re the ones choosing to be unsafe on the road. As long as you are driving safely you should have nothing to worry about. Good luck with your driving test for when it comes.
@@worlddriving Thanks a lot for your response. I really appreciate. I went on to pass my driving test yesterday with 2 minors. Funny enough, one of the minors was undue hesitation . Hahah. And the second was waiting for a pediatrician to cross 😅. I’m glad all these videos helped.
please help. what happens if your light is green so you proceed as normal but you realise u cant even go any further because the car in front has not set off yet! (as the driver in front is waiting for the ambulance to go past). So whilst youre waiting for the car in front to move you realise that your light has now turned red and white line is in the middle of your car.... can you proceed when its safe to do so, or do you have to wait on the line until the light goes green again, even though youre already half way passed it?

He keeps crossing his arms. Surely that's a fault as he's blocking the operation of the air cushions.
No faults on the driving test for crossing arms as long as you're in control.
Would I be able to book a mock test with you? I have my test coming up in July in Chingford London

Do the safest thing. There's a good chance that the other vehicles going across will start to go or the pedestrians might get a green man.
Which area of London is this?
Beckenham.
