    It is great and luck that I could have a driving mock test with Chris before my real driving test. He could point out the mistakes that I didn’t aware that I made it during my driving. He gave me the opinions that how I could improve my driving. I passed my driving test with 3 minor faults.Thank you very much!🎉🎉

    During my driving lessons in Hong Kong, I was instructed to use only the clutch to start moving without touching the gas pedal. However, when I practiced as a learner driver in the UK, my instructor advised me to apply a gentle amount of gas as well. I believe this highlights one of the key differences between driving techniques in two regions.

      @T.K.9 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      It depends.
      If you are in a Diesel car. Due to the fact that the diesel engine got the higher end torque at low revs. It will allow you move off with just the clutch but if you meet any inclined. You will have to use some gas.
      Meanwhile in a Petrol, the torque is at higher revs, if you pull out with a clutch in an even "slight" inclined. You will stall unless if you give it gas.
      An instructor telling you to pull out with clutch only is not really a difference in teaching styles. Some UK instructors say that too.
      But yea, if you have a chance to drive a petrol and a diesel car. You will notice the difference. Where a diesel will happily move off and not stall just by going at its biting point on a clutch.
      While a petrol, you will have a high chance of stalling if you dont give it gas.

    I was taught to set the gas and then lift the clutch to the biting point. That was initially. The no gas method was taught later and I use it not for properly setting off but for starting a tight manoeuvre, like an angle start, parallel parking or pulling out of my small car park. But I'm learning with an e-brake that automatically turns off if you have gas & biting point.

    I could be wrong but I think she was struggling to get a good view out of the window, she looked really low down and needs to pump her seat up much higher. I think that would have helped with the steering and the parking! I’m 5’3 and have my seat on the highest setting or I use a little booster cushion 😅 has definitely helped a lot with my steering!!

      @@worlddriving I thought that too from the beginning of the video, the middle of the headrest was way above the line of the tops of her ears (that's what I was taught anyway!) Aw poor Chris (Learner) - I really hope she passes soon - not sure what age bracket she is in, but as an older lady driver myself (I am now 60) - I only started taking lessons 4 years ago and passed first time at the grand old age of 57!! I love driving my car and the freedom & independence it gives you. Good luck with your test when it comes Chris!! 😊👍

    i was taught to not be stepping on the footbrake when releasing the clutch as it needs some gas to get the mechanism to work quicker. if you are afraid of rolling back like on a hill after stopping then put the handbrake on to give you time to find biting point

    Learner Chris, Aw I feel sorry for you! There's work to be done and you'll get there. It was most probably the combination of the cameras and a new car and Instructor, good luck with your driving in the future and I hope you pass your actual Driving Test. Chris Instructor:- My Mum taught me what She called the balance technique for moving off on the level, press the clutch down, select first gear, bring the clutch slowly up and at the same start to press the accelerator, as the car starts to move slowly come off the clutch and press the accelerator a little more. For the hill start she taught me the modern way, press the accelerator and then bring the clutch to bite and release the hand brake. The forward bay park, I hate it! I was taught to do it slowly and if you need to reverse move the wheel left or right to get the car straight and then go back in. My Son is a Driving Instructor and when he's in my car with me, there's quite often a tut or a sigh when I have to go in forwards!

    Checking the tire pressure: in the car's computer that will appear on the display or in the navigation system. If you want to know what the recommended pressure is, it is displayed on a label in a visible place on the pillar B or the edge of the door, possibly in the vehicle manual.

    With my first instructor it was gas then clutch, second instructor clutch then gas, with my current instructor it is gas then clutch, however because I got more confidence with my second instructor who had a diesel car, I still do clutch and then press gas.

    It doesn't matter where you come from, what matters is that you study in the country where you are currently. You need will, determination and seriousness, to like the art of driving a vehicle. There are no excuses. You focus on what you have to do.

    I guess the reason she often stalls is probably because she practiced driving in a diesel van in Hong Kong. Unlike the UK where most learner’s cars are petrol Fiestas and Corsas, most of the learner cars with manual transmission in Hong Kong are mainly diesel Toyota Hiaces because they are less often to stall than petrol manuals. The only reason why don't she pass her driving test in Hong Kong is probably because it takes at least a year to wait for driving tests in Hong Kong.
