Striped wolf = Striped hyena
Woods wolf = Gray wolf
Regular = Gray wolf
Spotted wolf = Cape hunting dog
Black wolf = Gray wolf
Ashen wolf = Gray wolf
Chestnut wolf = Gray wolf
Snowy = Gray wolf (arctic subspecies)
Edit: Let me clear some things up. I said striped hyena instead of aardwolf because aardwolves are TINY. Compared in size to the other wolves, the striped wolf being a striped hyena would be more accurate. They look very similar.
I said gray wolf a lot because there are tons of gray wolf subspecies, including the arctic wolf. So the Snowy wolf may be an arctic wolf, but its also a gray wolf by species.
African wild dog and Caoe hunting dog are different names for the same animal.

The first ever one of these that i tamed was an ashen wolf. I have like 6 of them in my survival world. They are so cute, along with every other wolf type

I like the striped wolf best. Striped hyenas (the animal I assume they are trying to mimic) are one of my favorite animals.

@@Miya20547 Well, in my opinion, Minecraft keeps adding to their game, not improving it, also I don't really like the style of the game bc I think it looks too old. Personally, I didn't like MC bc I got bored with the game since there wasn't any storyline or quests you could, I actually had to Google how to play the game to play the game 😂. Plus I felt like I wasn't really doing anything in the game I was just building stuff and I thought that doing that was a waste of my time. But hey, you guys are probably still pretty young, if you like sandbox games such as Minecraft there's nothing wrong with that, I just don't like them myself, and just as a recommendation you might want to try out Elden Ring, Breath of the (Wild BOTW), Immortals Phoenix Rising, Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK), or "The outer Worlds". Those are all open world games I liked a whole lot, and you might too! :)

Ashan wolf = husky
Black wolf = black labrador
Chestnut wolf= German Shepherd
Rusty wolf = red healer
Spoty wolf = beagle
Striped wolf = striped Shepherd
Snowy wolf = white husky
And my favourite is the spoty wolf😊❤

Like three or two of up dates ago I found a black wolf and it had red eyes but there's nothing around for it to attack I couldn't even tame it too
