Something important that I think you forgot to mention is that tamed wolves will actually scare away skeletons from you. So if they are an issue for you they can be a solid line of defense

helpful tip with old growth taigas. it seems that if a river passes through old growth taigas, one side will always be pine and the other will always be spruce. you will usually always find both biomes if a river run through it, which is common

I was collecting all the wolves for my island base, when a woodland wolf appeared on the shoreline! No forest biomes on my island, just plains & jungle edge, but there is a little strip of river biome along the shore where it spawned. So apparently, there is a small chance for a lone woodland wolf to spawn on the shore of a river biome.
I can confirm this because a wood wolf one time accidentally got stuck on my boat and he was by himself so I assumed the other members of his family were killed. So I tamed him and he's now in my house with my other wood wolves

Spent several minecraft days wandering a snowy forest because the first white wolf i found sunk into powdered snow and died before i could dig it out. Took about 20 minutes to find another one.
It was incredibly distracting. If people want to listen to any kind of music in the background, they can do so on their own device without it being forced on every single viewer at a determined mixed volume.
