Glad they are selling things. They deserve to reap what they’ve sown. Saved a lot of great cars that will get into the hands of people moving the cars back to life.
Owned shop In nearby city ,Billy was a close friend of mine, you never showed up unless you were invited, he was am old school fanatic of mopar's he was a buddy and Close friend. God bless, he's got areal Mopar legend.
My father told me a story of the neighbor who had a First year Hemi Chrysler and refused to sell it, he eventually fell trees onto it. Some people are nucking futs.
My old mechanic collected Metropolitans. I told him I’d just seen one with a tree growing through it. He said he’d tried to buy it 20 years prior, when it was salvageable.
I knew a lady who had a 71 340 4spd Duster sitting in her back yard. It belonged to her son, who died in a car accident 5 yrs before I first met them. I tried to buy it, but she would not part with it. Fast forward 20 plus years, the driver's door glass got broken, the grill was stolen, the radiator was stolen, the trunk lid with the factory spoiler was stolen, the carburetor was stolen, and the car was in really poor condition when she finally gave it away because her surviving kids were fighting over who was going to get it when she passed.
@@mikeadcock1592 My grandfather's best friend was in the hobby with him. He died in his 60's from cancer and his cars sat for decades because the family wouldn't part with them but weren't interested in them either. Fortunately, they didn't sit outside, though. Eventually, and tragically, his son developed the same cancer and died at a young age. His widow finally sold them as she approached her 90's.
Billy was my best Hero in high school, we raced bout every weekend at Kinston NC drag strip, and other local tracks. Billy would blow💥everyone away, and I was right behind him in my 70 Hemi Challenger, Billy would send me over to Richard and Maurice Pettys Level Cross "Old Shop" to get parts!, I have already bought and paid for 5 cars here at the secret location, yea I snached the 2 tone challenger, 2 Cudas, a GTX and Super Bee from "Billy West" and his Best Woman Wife in the World "Mrs Jackie" I can almost still hear Billy's Red Roadrunner riping past me on the strip with big open heders!, They will be rembered by all us locals forever!!
I know of a yard like this up here in Michigan, all Mopar. I actually knew the guys daughter, I've only ever been back there once, he will never sell because to him, those cars are more valuable than money.
I knew Billy. In 1998 I bought my lime green 70 Roadrunner from him and an air grabber hood. He was always nice as well as miss Jackie. He told me several stories about the early days. If I’m not mistaken miss Jackie was related to Mrs. Petty. I could be wrong but I think that’s correct.

That is what I heard, I sadly never met him. But was fortunate to meet Miss Jackie a few times.

Sounds like a cool guy, or family! I'd love to document it.

😍Oh wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👍
Location is Mayberry NC .. 123 Barney Fife Drive ./take a left on the Gomer Pyle Parkway .
Hey, do a video to help us sell these cars to save them..but keep the location a secret. At least this video tells you where they are.
That datsun 240 looks so out of place. What a cool place to walk around.
Awesome thanks for sharing
I agree Jonny!
Dd you happen to see a red 66 Charger there? If so it used to be mine.
I probably did, it is always a lot to take in
The owners never enjoyed the money from the sales of the cars...
They did buy and sell cars, they were fine.
I like it thumbnail. I prefer RC over the other brands myself
I wonder if the barracuda showing up at around the 7 minute of this video mark is still available.
Could be, drop them a line.
Good luck finding the engines in those Mopar junkyards!

i wonder if the prices for full cars is realistic.
I almost bought the green 69 Dart GT in the video, and he was reasonable on that. I just had no way to get it home.
@@AutoArchaeologyI uship before cheaper
Do they remove the part(s) you need, or does the customer need to do that themselves as well?
I believe both, but you can check with them. Their info in the description. They just don't ship.

@@sweengeppetto1915 you're right, that one would have to be real cheap
Really rusty cars
These aren't really that rusty. They don't get snow or such really. Just surface for the most part.
@@AutoArchaeology rust runs deep
A bunch of junk at this point.
