- Making a quality binocular costing under $100 would be quite the Triumph. So that’s what we did and that’s what we called it. The Triumph® HD 10x42 binocular is the perfect optic for the budget-conscious outdoorsman who still needs a meaningful viewing experience. In this podcast, we grab optics expert, and admitted optics snob, Mike McDowell, to chat through the features and performance of this optically and economically impressive 10x42 binocular.

Just got these Vortex binoculars absolutely love them. These are my first product from Vortex. I don’t feel like I’ll ever need to upgrade. But I love them so much. I ran out and bought the Vortex diamondback rangefinder. These binoculars made me a Vortex customer. I feel like these could be useful to me for the rest of my life and be happy.
I bet y’all are going to sell a billion of these. In the year of our lord 2023, with everything costing an entire paycheck, this was a well thought out business decision
Do you guys do this podcast right there at the Barneveld warehouse? I’m a driver for Old Dominion Freight Line - we love working with you guys, and moving your products!
You guys make a great scope and have hands down the best warranty on your products!!! So im looking forward to trying these binooculars, can you send me a catalog ?
I bought a set... love them! Rugged and serve me perfectly!
Just got one. Sells for $150 in Canada but I am very pleased with them.
Perfect boat binos! Who cares if they go to the bottom. Thanks guys.
got it. Will be adding more for gifts.WELL done!)BTW they are more like a 150$ here in norway inkl shipping but that to be expected.Great product!
Yes , need it, love it, got to have it. :)
masterful advertisement, I hope you all make a ton of money, Respect!
I was going to sell my Raptor 8x32 and replace with a Diamondback 10x42. Now I can get these instead, keep both, and save about $75.
Would this new triumph hd pair be an upgrade from the diamondback non hd first gen pair?
I'm in...
I’m sold
WHERE is it made?
I guess I’m confused I have 10x42 Vortex crossfire HDs I just bought new for $100. Is this better or the same?
You probably got the crossfires on a sale or clearance or something similar, the crossfire is usually right around $150
In my opinion a slight upgrade the Crossfire is a tad sharper/clear from center lens to mid lens.
Crossfire got more weight compared to Triumph
If I can remember the Triumph eye lens might be bigger than the Crossfire.
On side note I know for a fact the Triumph eye lens are bigger than the Diamondback
Vortex site shows it as $149.99 MSRP.. my bad, just checked optics planer $99.99 so guess it pays(pun) to shop around
Is the site trustworthy? and can you also order there if you come from a country in Europe?
Guys what's the difference between the Triumph and the Copperhead Vortex??
These guys are talking about binoculars being good for the Window inside, for a youngster....here I am at 36 feeling like I just upgraded. I never spent no 100 dollars on binoculars before.
Reviewing binoculars inside a room without looking through them, hmmm
im 23 just getting into hunting do you thinks its a good starter?
It depends on you personally, everything in hunting is an investment. The video in itself should answer your question. Buyer's remorse...do you have it lol if so I would go with something that I can stretch for in $ amount. Personally I'd go with something in the $200-500 range, you'd be happy for many seasons of hunting.
Ya, it depends on how you would use them
I do have Diamondback HD and the Triumph
And honestly I love them both
Diamondbacks are heavier and give off that mentality of being heavy-duty and of Course it does have way better glass brighter image, clear/ sharper lines at greater distance.
But the truth is I always grab the Triumph it's my go to binos for Two main reasons i wear glasses and the Triumph eye lens are 23mm and Diamondback have 21mm,
So with Triumph I get nice bigger picture with my prescription glasses and 2nd reason it's a working binocular looking after livestock in sandstorm weather here in Northern Arizona , it just gives my crazy mindset peace of mind when the lens get coated with sand
"the concept thrown aboot"... 🤣 Are you sure you are from Wisconsin sir, or maybe just spent too much time in Canada?
@1:39
It seems I just learned that 100 Bucks is now 150ish US dollars.?
150 is msrp, they’re sold for cheaper though
So it's a copperhead. Why?
Perhaps the copperhead was the test. And once it was successful the marketing folks got down to work and reworked the look and the name.
Yup, just a different name and color
