    When you finish the lot, you should make a video on everything you were able to fix, total cost, and possible profit if someone sold everything. It would be cool to see it all once its done.

    "Phat" is basically the retro "Thicc", it's not offensive and I'm pretty sure it was cool back in the day for things to be "Phat". I know that the original PS3 was referred to as "Phat".

      Phat is cool and fat means go on a diet or the version of a device that is thicker and or larger than the next model to follow it often they would call it a slim.

    I've done bottom screens/digitizers on the phat DS. Never the top. Wow this is much better than later models where you have to pass the ribbon cable through the bloody hinges. I hate hate HATE doing that and have smashed up a DSi because I lost my temper trying lol

    • @Spartan265
      @Spartan265 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yup. Plus I'm sorry but using the word fat shouldn't be offensive. 2020 is so backwards on certain things lol.

    • @angelusb2066
      @angelusb2066 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Technically it's thick not fat. Fat is used for animals and living things. Now regardless of your opinion on wether or not fat is an offensive term... man doesn't want to use the term

  • @restlessheroes

    So happy that you posted this video. It's what i needed. I got from a thrift store a perfectly working ds fat for 2€. Only issue was the hinge was broken. But after seing in your vid that i could unscrew just the top half of the case. I was able to repair the plastic from the hinge with ease now that i had more space to work with withour the plastic back cover. What i did was to carve a piece of plastic that fits exactly in the place of the old lower hinge, and with a solder iron, i pressed on a small piece of a paper clip, like 0.5 mm, and i binded the two pieces of plastic together. Now i saved around 12€ because i don't need to buy a new case from aliexpress.

I want to get my pokemon and game data off of it but everytime I plug in the new screen I got, it refuses to turn on and without it, it shuts off in 5 minutes by itself.
