  • DIYNate gives a quick walkthrough of how he changes his time on his Volvo XC90 (2013) when he loses an hour due to daylight savings time by using the post knob on the dashboard.

In this video, DIYNate shows how to quickly change the time on the dashboard clock in his 2013 Volvo XC90. The simple process involves finding the post knob to the lower right of the clock and rotating it clockwise (right) to advance the clock time forward, and counterclockwise (left). The speed of the numbers changing accelerates if you hold the knob to the right or left for a longer duration, so it may take a bit of fine tuning to land the exact time you are looking for.
Hopefully, this video saves you the effort of having to look in the owner's manual. This is a surprisingly intuitive clock change process, so many people will just figure this out. However, if you were looking for quick instructions because you didn't notice the dial or didn't want to chance tinkering with it and having to fix some other setting, hopefully this quick video helps!
This dial change process is likely common across many Volvo vehicles - in my case, this was applicable to a Volvo XC90 SUV (2013 edition).
As with all DIYNate projects, this is meant to be informational and to help with the idea process. DIYNate assumes no risk or liability for damage, injury, etc. and this approach is simply a shared concept and illustration.

ok on this, but I want to Thank you, Nate, So Great!, about the Volvo stuck in Park solution. I tried it a couple times, and a push or two, and it Worked, whoopee! spared me an AAA or mechanic call and stress, anxiety. No spare car for my older wagonxc either. It froze last night & I wondered but was also on a very slight slope.
