Binge watched almost all of your videos in the past few days. There’s not many creators here in Maine. Your production quality is excellent and it’s only a matter of time before your channel blows up.
Hi Jason n Jen, Wow! At the end of the day it all turned out awesome! Stop beating yourself up bud! Yayayaya to our friend Alan, thank you so much for helping our other friends,,this is what friends is all about! Love it! And thank you too Rob, you’re awesome also! It’s truly gonna be a blessing for you this winter! God is Good! Stay safe, happy and God Bless ❤ P.S. I already watch Alan, and will look Rob up! ❤
Hi Pam!👋 We are so happy with how it’s coming along and that it’s almost done!! Alan and Rob were amazing. We really appreciate all they did!! Have a great day and God bless! ♥️🙏♥️
Hey Jason and Jen! My husband and I met you last weekend when we were down your way in the side by side, it was very nice to meet you guys and we are enjoying watching your videos!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Rob and Allan for helping Jason and Jen out! Glad you were safe and sound from working on the roof! It looks so good! by the time the garage gets completed for the most part, now you can park your tractors and tools in there! Will there be a half second floor for additional space?
Don’t beat yourself up over a lesson that you’ve now learned the hard way. At the end of the day it’s the lesson that really matters right ? Younger me : achieve whatever the goal is and not pay attention so much to things that can be learned. Old ass me : enjoy the damn process and stare at it ! Think about it ! Work through the next steps before you start this no brainer step ! Doing what you’re doing and where you are this process will be repeated more than once. Enjoy the process and think ahead and then act. Stare at it ! Then act and move forward. I comment like it’s a personal text. 🙄😳😎😂 take care Jason
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said that very thing to myself 🤦♂️ But, it’s ok, we’re still moving forward and getting this thing built. I appreciate your straightforward honesty. It’s not about the destination but the journey… Thank you for the kind words and support! 😊
Hi Blake! 👋 This has been a hell of a project for us and a BIG learning experience. We’re just plugging along. Thanks for the kind words and support! 😊
We tried to make it work but ultimately decided it’d be better to shorten the rafters. Without the fascia, our future plans with the garage will go easier 😉 Stay tuned! Thanks for the comment and support! 😊
You will have no regrets about building a garage, BUT, please put in strong cross ties between the side walls. With a heavy snow load those walls could bow out. Not meant as negativity, just an old mainer who is not afraid to share lessons learned from my own mistakes. I enjoy your videos, looks like we should be able to make a Mainah out of you yet!
Professional carpenters screw things like that up all the time. There are two statements for woodworkers. Measure once, cut twice Or Measure twice, cut once You chose
I’d like to say…measure twice, cut once but with this build taking as long as it has and the fact that winter is knocking….feeling rushed you make mistakes (at least more than usual). 👍
Yea!!! Looks great!!! You are blessed to have good friends!!!!
Thanks! We certainly are! 😊

J&J you picked up another thousand followers in what?? 60 days? Great job guys, the best homestead channel on the net.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support!! 😊
ah you look like so happy that you have a roof glad for you thank you for sharing
We are so happy!! It’s been a long time coming. Thank you and thanks for watching!!😊
It looks amazing!!
Thank you!! 😊
I know someone who did the same thing but they ended up putting rolled flashing down by the eaves and it looked pretty good actually.
We plan to run lean-to’s off the sides and will be able to run the rafters right off the existing overhang. 😊
@@HanbleceyaRanch ah, gotcha
Solvable problems are the best!
Yes they are!!😊
Roof looks great!! You have some wonderful friends! Don't worry about the error there is a learning curve of 20 years LOL

Could be worse, I do it for a living and still make mistakes lol. Keep getting after it and eventually it’ll work its self out.
Hi Blake! 👋 This has been a hell of a project for us and a BIG learning experience. We’re just plugging along. Thanks for the kind words and support! 😊
Don’t be too upset. It was an easy fix. Like I said as long as the toilet flushes, you’re ok 😂
In hindsight it worked out better this way for our future plans for the garage 😊
I really like the sky lights. What's thar material you used? It looks pretty rugged.
These are poly panels we picked up at our local Amish Metal roofing store. The same panels we used on our greenhouse
It would have worked the Ridge cap would cover it! I should say a custom made Ridge cap! But Things happen it turned out nice
We tried to make it work but ultimately decided it’d be better to shorten the rafters. Without the fascia, our future plans with the garage will go easier 😉 Stay tuned! Thanks for the comment and support! 😊

Thanks for the comment and support!!👍
Sh!t happens bud, don't think of it as a mistake, think of it as a learning experience.
In hindsight, it was just a speed bump 😂 Thank you for the kind words and support! 😊

12 metal and 4 polyethylene panels
Those guys have the most non-Maine accents I have ever heard
😂there are quite a few of us! 🤣
