yeah he just removed that part entirely, even though that made smant pretty mad because they searched in half the map for 15 minutes even though he was on the other side
I didn’t actually know where Poo was so I accidentally gave the wrong side but it was a mistake and had no effect on the game lmao

I think a cooler way to do multiple teams would be for each team to have a hider and a seeker simultaneously. Leads to a free for all style where the hiders will be more engaged and have more control over their fate as they can scout the opponent hiders for their seeker teammate.

12:19 There's a comment that took CJ's accusation of cheating seriously, so I just want to say that bouncing on someone's head and not having them get out isn't cheating, it's latency.
How onlines game's work is something's happening on your screen, and something's happening on the other person's screen, and the server tries to keep everything consistent but it doesn't always have the information completely synced all the time. So if a seeker bounces on a hider and they don't get out, that just means that on the hider's screen they were far enough away that they actually didn't get hit, and neither pov is more right or wrong than another. So if touching a hider doesn't register, you've just gotta keep trying and hope for the best. Online games aren't perfect, but it's all in good fun 🙂

I don't know if it was accurate, but when CJ talks to Smant about that at the end of the round, Smant says that they had a few seconds of invulnerability because people were always stunned when they went down that way.
Both latency and the 5 second immunity apply in this case. Range calcs are done on the hiders end, so Cj's latency would've effect the kill, plus Smant was within the 5 sec invulnerability window from entering Shiveria. In the same way Smant benefitted from this when he was hiding, everyone else also did during their hiding rounds so it evens out the playing field.
To add to the latency description, this means your shooter games? You're shooting at enemy players that aren't where they appear because of latency. Most shooters favor the attacker because it feels bad when you shoot someone and your bullets pass through them harmlessly. This means if you're running around a corner and magically die to some attacker on the other side of the wall, that's why. You're still in the open for them and the game's server favors their screen.

I forgot how refreshing it was to watch someone who doesn't play this regularly.
For next time, you should try having it so there's 1 seeker and 1 hider per time so that teams aren't disadvantaged based on the map they roll. Maybe give bonus time to the teams that catch the most people to incentivize seeking instead of just communicating.

It would be cool if the seekers can gain time by finding the hiders. That way there is also competition between the teams which are seeking.

Seeing my favorite SMM2 creator (DGR) in this video was crazy.
You know what would be a cool team concept. Two teams: one seeker form each team seek simultaneously while the rest of both teams hide. Basically, if the seeker finds someone that only strengths the opposing team’s finding force as those found join the seeker(s). It’s like a comeback mechanic
And instead of total time being the deciding factor. It’s whoever lasts the longest in that round wins that round for their team.
This would be cool if each team seemed together and if you were hiding you could unfreeze your teammate if they got caught. This allows for saving just your teammate

idea for new gamemode i thought sounded cool: 7 hiders, 1 seeker like normal, but the seeker hides and you want to have the lowest time. once you become a seeker, hiders can also look for you, so you have to find the best spot. whoever has the lowest time at the end wins
It'd be fun if you assign a seeker to a single hider. If you find someone else you ignore them.
What could make this cooler is you get time for catching a hider (for 3 teams specifically)

For some reason I thought this would be a 3 hiders and 3 seekers with pairs so certain seekers don’t want to catch certain hiders. To prevent the hiders from calling each other out just go into different voice channels
I got a suggestion. Hide N Seek, but you can use paintings.
Rules:
You can only use a Panting once
Their should be a hint where painting or no
You should do a duo game where one partner seeks for others while the other hides at the same time

I'm a little late to the party, but I think if they were to do this again hiders on opposing teams should also be able to tag the other hiders (Sending them back to a checkpoint, or a different location). Adding an extra difficulty

Is there a game where the players have to hide a certain amount of time instead? For example, players can get a random amount of time between 15-30 minutes that they are supposed to hide. At the end, the player who hides the closest to the designated time wins. To prevent seekers from purposely losing to achieve the designated time if they go beyond the time, players cannot move once they choose their hiding spot.
