I get you on being baffled by a Karen. Friends and I were using a M35 to move a fair heap of things like axles, car and truck frames. So much other junk. Long story short, a neighbor of mine at the time *hated* me because I regularly hunted all the squirrels she insisted on feeding because they were getting into my pear trees, pecans, watermelons and stuff. Not to mention ripping out insulation in my porta shed.
Anyway, after the tenth load of old plow disc frames. She called the sheriff to report us for speeding and running a chop shop. The M35 we were using was incapable of going faster than 45mph in flat ground. Down hill it might reach a blistering 49, even 50. But at that speed we'd be in danger of time travel or blowing thro the time/space continuem. Unless it was pushed out of a plane into freefall then it might break 60.
The deputy that responded to the call went by the name catfish. He knew us and us him in turn. We hung out for a while, he dropped by at end of shift went with us when we went to net shrimp to get himself a cooler full.
THAT'S life in the Country/Small Town! Someone calls the law, and you have a reunion with buds! 👍
@@MorganOtt-ne1qj Got that right. I didn't realize that the sheriff himself knew me until after I saw him at the gas station up from the house while he was in uniform. I was confused as to why Mrs.Knight's son was pretending to be a sheriff for and that didn't be know that was just asking for trouble. That was my honest first thought before I had that "OHH! I get it now, cool."
Mrs.Knight lived right across the street from me. Lovely old lady, kept herself active running it as a boutique dairy after her husband died. He was the real dairy and meat man. Owned enough land to hold on to about 300 beef cows and 80 milkers. It was sad that had to sell most of it to pay for trouble that would eventually take him. But until then, we'd get so much milk a day that we ended up mixing it with grain and other dog food to feed the dogs, pigs and chickens.
After making that connection it was nothing to be outside knocking tree rats out the tops of the magnolias and live oaks. Then here comes Knight's boy just walking over with his .22 to help out. Catfish would show up on Friday or Saturday, rods ready for the catching. Crab season was just awesome.
Can't buy memories like that now and it's something that as I get older. I still talk about it, and an increasing number of folks half my age or less think it's all BS but those nearer or older just nod their heads knowing what it was like.

As a full time dump truck driver for way too many years I understand how fun it is to run straight pipes and jakes but eventually you need to grow up. Through a residential area large trucks can appear to be moving faster than cars. Your video demonstrated you and your friend's attitude regarding how you had "come to party".
I take it Isiah is the crew chief and called out the younger driver for abusing his jakes. I dislike "Karens" as much as the next guy but you could have told her the crew chief had already called out the driver and you would also bring it to his attention.
I truly enjoy your channel and I'm rooting for your success.

They often don't believe you say our supervisor warned him.

Yes, straight can sound awesome, but it gets annoying if you have to hear it all day.
Isiah is smart enough to know that making the neighbors angry is not good business. There is no reason to be using loud jake brakes on a slow road with an empty truck.
I say run as hard and as loud as you want if you’re not going the same route over and over again whether that be just for one day or somewhere you often go to. When you’re running the same route best keep the attention off of yourself and just run normal little bit of noise doesn’t hurt anyone but no need to run the jakes as hard as you can. I also see it as there’s a lot of motorcycles and cars without mufflers that don’t care so why should I. To each their own
@@willianvos3521 Yeah apparently she was on the board of a HOA. The neighbor was having a BBQ for his entire family, when she shot his wife. She wanted the whole neighborhood to eat vegan, real crazy woman out here 😂

Chris, Don't let her Karness bother you, she just wants attention! For every one of them there are a thousand good people. I proved that Wednesday! Was 300 miles from home , making my last delivery for the day, and got really disoriented and super sick! STROKE, big time!. By standers came to my aide! Called the ambulance, took care of the truck, called family, I just can't thank these unknown helpers enough! Due to the quick response at the hospital, I'm back home today and looking at a hopefully good outcome! There are some wonderful people out there. Just hope I get well enough to handle harvest here in a few weeks. JR will have his hands full helping this year!

Duffy, There are people that just don't like trucks period! Why live in the country and think that trucks aren't going to be there! If there is farm land, there are trucks. I would call the police before working near her house, and let them know that she will be calling! I would think they know her , very very well at The 911 office!!!😮 People that live in a bubble!!! Down here in VA flashing reds like that are a 4-way stop. I think it is just meant to get your attention better than a stop sign, safer, keeps people from blowing through it on busier roads.

some guys never got proper toys as a child so they insist on using the jakes every 5 seconds while on flat ground.
Last threat of "I'm calling the cops" I offered her my phone.
On the flip side one night I was disking pretty late and a woman brought me some cookies and coffee.

Them people I enjoy. Back when I ran asphalt we had to drive past a old couples house to get to the plant. This gravel road was so rough you couldn’t do 5 mph loaded on it well one day he came out screaming and making threats saying we need to slow tf down or he’s going to start shooting at us all because his wife was tired of the dust getting into the house I politely told him to kick rocks and started doing 20 on the road it was so dusty you couldn’t see the trailer at all. After the day was over he came over and apologized and I backed it down again. Moral of the story don’t mess with a man doing his job lol
I would love to see the look on her face when the cops show up and tell her they can't find any speeding trucks in her area. I'm pretty sure it's rough at 30mph so I have no clue why she would think you'd want to go any faster!

A person could look at your farm as a farm farming the subsidies where you hire everything out and are working off the farm.
You say how much you have cleaned up your farm putting down the former farmer, personally the farm still news a lot of work that you are not doing.You talk about going out to dinner, adult beverages, and all your road trips not exactly nose to the grindstone. Last night my wife wife complained about content I’ll have to admit it wasn’t very interesting and all the childish comments dumping on the lady. I have found if you shift to a higher gear and keep the rpm’s down it gives the appearance of driving slower
You have more patience than I do. I would have told her to call the cops as you're not doing anything illegal or unsafe. She calls them enough and she'll get charged for making false reports.
The line that always gets me is when the say there are children here. My response to that is are you letting your children play in the street because that isn't very safe.

I had one lady stop me and told me she was calling the cops, and I told her go ahead, by the time they get here , I'll be over in the next State! we farmed right along the NY & PA boarder , and I was headed for PA! Why would he be using the Jake Break on a flat road going 30 MPH in front of her house unless he is trying to make her mad? I have a feeling you are stepping into an ongoing war between the two. If you want to be a good neighbor and not "that guy" I would tell him not to use them unless needed.

This move to NY really seems to have been great for you. There's more farms with less traffic, doesn't seem to be a shortage of trucking work for you to slide into by the day to make some quick cash to keep the bills paid. More farms and co-workers mean more friends to go to the tractor pulls or lunch with or whatever. I'm jealous of you sir, wish I cold go farming but I'm on less than an acre with a craftsman DYT4000 that has a juicy carb that's nothing but trouble. .

Sometimes when you have ken’s or Karen’s it can be good to be proactive and call the dispatcher/non-emergency to and be the first to relay the message that you are not speeding. Generally if you are not breaking the law and you call dispatch they will believe you first before the unhappy caller. It just prepares them to have an expectation for a Karen call.

The truck i drive for a farm has dual straight pipe exhaust with 8" tips and the jakes aren't as loud as it is when I'm on the fuel but then again it has 850hp so it barks a little more than most. She wouldn't like me going by her house. Yeah that guy is a little excessive on the jakes LOL

I belive you have one of the lightes body's on it so if you put decent tires under it you can drive over thick water
The 10 wheeler mack I can not not enough space between axles to fit floaters. The international has a set. Currently we can't even get trucks in the fields chopping corn so we are in for a long harvest

Mid semis have low gears…hard to speed..jakes are required when loaded…breaks don’t cut it…you luckily stop or fry em….glad your comfortable and positive. If she bothers you again call the cops and if possible to bring dot with them to lecture her.

We had a karen move in a mile from our bin site then started calling the police because of the fan,dryer noise plus all the truck traffic. Some people.
the last time we had to deal with someone like that, Is pretty much told them to call the cops ill sit here and wait. They went what do you mean and I said, Well, I have a dash camera on top of the camera right here, I'll just show them the footage of what you guys we're doing and saying. They went back over to their acreage and never said another word. Sheriff went by and I pulled him over and sat there and said what they were doing, They were throwing things at equipment well. Just some people are dumb. I mean seriously as they get older....

I was unloading concrete into a basement of a rental duplex in town. The Man in the adjoining unit come over and yelled at me for being parked where I was. The contractor taking the concrete just asked that he give us an hour and we would be done. The man called the cops. The police man came and I seen the cop talking to the man. Then I seen the cop yelling at the man. The man went back in the apartment and that was the last I seen him. I asked the contractor if the cop said anything to him and he said nope.
Pissing people off and embarrassing them on purpose by laughing at the people complaining at your crew using the jake break for laughs. Chris, I thought you were more mature than that. You owe her and your neighbors an apology. You know they watch this channel too.

I don't know about New York, Oregon the speed is based on the type of road and most county roads don't have speed signs.

Strange thing we farm on 2 sides of a boarder most of the problems we have is of the citty people living on the land even the boarder patrol greets us we farm this way all.ost 50 years they only stop me when my dog isn t with me(big frend of theirs)
