The fact that you can change between units in the same chase gives NFS High Stakes simply the best Cop Mode

@@stargod3763 You press J to switch to another unit and continue the chase. As a cop you have access to all units and can take over their car at any point. Similar to Driver San Francisco.
NFS HS is to this day is my favorite NFS game, and I've played all of them.

I love that game. I played that in 2018 and the computer starting weird and repair the computer and my favorite game disappeared.
It beats most wanted police chases imo. Maybe not as intense, definitely more realistic though.
Rivals stands out. Not necessarily the best, but by far THE most bloodthirsty and downright violent cops I've ever seen in a racing game. Deserves applause for that.

2012 is on crack
2005-2013 had the aggressive chases now they are just too easy. In rivals the cops were BLOODTHIRSTY to kill you but in 2015 they became the weakest but for what reason? Payback had good cops though a massive change but they didn't feel intriguing when they were chasing you.Also most events were scripted where as when if a helicopter chases you they are not in freeroam or regular bait crate chases.

AGREE! I still firmly believe NFSMW has the best chases. The music played a huge factor, the speed breaker effect, perfectly timed pursuit breakers, cool down spots, the whole Cross vendetta. My heart almost lept out of my chest every time

Nostalgia is a hell of a thing, MW had the corniest story ever, its basically the same thing as Payback, you're betrayed and have to work your way back up, this time through different disciplines, MW had the wackest, cringiest storyline everrrr.

In Hot Pursuit, you have to escape. In Most Wanted and Carbon, You have to take them out. That's the feel I want for doing cop chase. The feel of wrecking them, creating chaos just piss them off for FUN. I laughed when I wrecked 50 cops and gained bounty about 1 million on my head.

@@badreedinedjellali1328 because criterion is now back making the need for speed games, ghost and blackbox are gone. Hot pursuit 2010 was their first NFS so they remastered it.
Rivals is much better, Hot Pursuit had amazing cops, but with the addition of ESF, SHRAM, SHWAV, and Stun Mine, Rivals' cops are way deadlier.
To me Need For Speed: The Run has the most intense radio chatter, unless that’s just me. :|
That's true. Why weren't they were in NFS:Rivals? Since it felt like everytime you crashed, you feel liked you could've died.
Daylight 101 that's the same for undercover. the chatter makes you feel like you've nearly killed your fellow officers.
Why did the cops sound so much more realistic 20 years ago then they do now.

Yeah i agree on that, Black Boxe made NFS Hp2 for those who not know it. But they also is too blame for this fast and furious trend, that has been going on since 2003. Wich i think is sad because i grewed up with NFS in the 90s, so i too prefered when it was about stock supercars on tracks.

Because i hate illegal street racing no fence man, i prefer Lambos Ferraris simply because its expensive cars i wouldent afford too buy. I dont see the fun in everyday cars you see in the traffic daily. There is a video out where a Lambo crush a Tesla in a drag race, anyway my childhood car was Ferrari F50.

Even tho there were better games than rivals, there probably won’t be many which will make more fun than it. Is spent a whole year having fun in just wrecking racers and escaping cops. I will never forget those high speed crashes and moments where I outplayed the opponents (offline and online) smartly. Rivals was such a great game when it comes to this.
i liked the way the police cars had some weight but you could still ram through themwith speed deforming their cars in most wanted and carbon. really made it satisfying to go through a roadblock. but the reason most wanted's chases were so good was not just because the chases themselves were amazing, the stakes were high too because you could lose everything if you got busted

My unpopular opinion. NFS HP 2010 has the most brutal police force in all of the NFS games. Sure in Most Wanted and Carbon they block you in together with 40-50 units on your tail but have you ever had your ass handed to you by a single Veyron/Agera interceptor?
Redview is way deadly than Seacrest. In Rivals they introduced the ESF which is fucking deadly to all racers and cops and the like.

I will go with nfs run..rolling road blocks,break check,slam they try every trick trying to stop u and it's difficult to evade them.. specially the Nissan GTR..the Calvin Garret became very interesting due to the cops..also it has on foot escaping from cops(QTE)..I enjoyed that game the most after nfsmw of course.

What if... police never radio their move to set up a road block or a spike strip, and those traps just get set up somewhere ahead, and it's up to your intuition and quick thinking on how to deal with them? That would have been a good challenge

It'd be great if the games weren't modded, cause NFS undercover 10:10 does *not* look like that. The gui I know is from the PC version, but those graphics are not at all. I noticed the slight graphic boost at NFSMW 2005 as well.
