Ordered a set for my 2021 Road Glide Special from J&P Cycles already. Can't wait to install it soon! Thank you for saving my hands, you guys r awesome!
Bought a 2001 softtail w/ a side car, jockey shift, and, centriugal clutch. I noticed though, if I'm in a certain gear and nail it... it seems to slip... weird.
William Fry you could essentially remove the hand clutch. Basically just use the gear shifter on left foot and never have to touch the clutch. The only reason to keep the clutch is to disconnect the power from the drive train. It's literally the best way to ride a motorcycle it's like automatic shifter for automobiles like B&M, paddle shifter, etc no need to have a clutch to engage gears.
Hey Robert, the auto clutch engages and disengages based on engine RPM. So you can be sitting still with your bike in neutral, hand off the clutch lever, drop it into first, twist the throttle and go. You don't have to feed out the clutch lever anymore. You can see it in action here: th-cam.com/video/ktGqd3LXEQc/w-d-xo.html
I talked with Danny Y at Rekluse and was told that they can also reduce the strength of the pull of the lever. This is precisely what I need. Reduce pull kit from Harley is not enough. Going to install one of them adjustable clutch levers this weekend and if that doesn't work. If not I have no other options.
Generally we see 2 times the life of an OEM clutch if the clutch is maintained properly. Our clutch system has more torque capacity which means it can handle more abuse and reduces clutch plate heat (The ultimate clutch killer). As far as stopping on a hill this is no issue when the bike is running. You can slightly engage the throttle to hold your place on the hill, similar to engaging the clutch and throttle on a standard clutch. When parking on a hill the bike can roll if the angle is steep enough. The clutch will disengage when the bike is off, even if in gear. We do supply a brake strap for applying the brake when parking in these scenarios.
Thanks for your question! We off different clutch options for several applications including dirt bikes, adventure bikes, street bikes, V-Twin and UTV- depending on the year, make and model. You can search for product availability by visiting www.Rekluse.com and using the "Select Your Ride" feature.
Can you add motokote to your system? About I’m installing this tomorrow in my 2020 road glide I got the rekluse easy pull too Not sure if I needed that too... do I??
Proper clutch function is dependent upon the primary chaincase oil viscosity, chemistry, and quality. Use the OE recommended oil or any brand of quality primary oil. Keep up with regular oil changes according to the bike manufacturer’s recommendations. Tired, dirty, or worn primary chaincase oil can hinder clutch performance and may cause excessive clutch drag or noise. Hey Tom, Greg did this video for us a while back. Unfortunately he isn't in our office. If you'd like to chat with a customer service rep, they'd be happy to answer any questions you have. You can reach them at 208-426-0659. Thank you!
Rekluse Auto Clutches automatically engage and disengage clutches, not transmissions. One must shift the gears up and down just like in a motorcycle with a manual clutch. The clutch feed and modulation to lock out (full engagement) and the disengagement (to prevent stalling) are automatic. The rider doesn’t have to manually modulate the clutch lever as this is automatic. However, all Rekluse Auto Clutches have the manual clutch lever override feature allowing the rider the choice to use the clutch lever or not.
That has not been my experience. The bike inches forward at a stop so I always have to hold the front brake lever in and the take off is a joke. It jerks terribly. To make matters worse, there is VERY LITTLE friction zone. I hate this clutch and literally wasted $1100.
Hello Twlay, thank you for reaching out. Sounds like we need an adjustment with your system. We would be more than happy to assist. Please contact our customer service team @ customerserivce@rekluse.com or shoot us a call @ 208-426-0659 Mon - Fri, 8-5PM MTN. Thank you!

Thanks for riding with Rekluse!
Love my Rekluse clutch. 2001 Heritage. Right hand amputee. Moved my throttle to the left side.
I have a Rek Clutch in my 14 FB Lo...love it
What do you do when you park it on an incline
@@jonhopkins1284 no issue. The clutch allows me never to worry about stalling or using the friction zone in bumper to bumper or waiting at a light.
OK ..that's will work in a old EVO 89 .. my FXR IS A STREET RACING .. AND SOMETIMES I NEED IMPROVE THE UP AND DOWN SHIFT'S .. Cheers ..
So after you shift down into first gear the the bike automatically shifts into the other gears for you?

Would this b good for a new rider?

do you still need to clutch when clicking gears or can you up shift and down shift never touching the clutch as well.
Hi there, we recommend that the clutch lever is still used when shifting between gears.
Want more info on reduce clutch pull!

RekluseMotorSports Only found 1 dealer in my area who has installed one. Just completed the Easy Pull kit install and it is not quite enough.
Robert, we aren't sure what kit you're referring to. Did you install our RadiusX auto clutch?

How long will it last? What about stopping on a steep hill? Thanks
