I had a Rekluse clutch installed 4 years ago and it’s hands down the best thing I’ve installed on my bike bar none. Low speed u just roll the throttle and gently move forward without using the clutch at all. Shifting through the gears I use the clutch as normal. It upshifts and down shifts as a conventional clutch. If you want to use the clutch as normal starting off you can. The Rekluse engagement is complete by about 1200 rpm. I’ve never lost a drag race off the line with a conventional clutch. It’s engaged completely by 1200 rpm with no hesitation. It doesn’t seem like it should work but it so so does. I’m convinced completely and have had no issues in 15,000 miles plus I think you get 3 extra clutch plates with the Rekluse system. It’s a killer product.
Really a slick idea, if I were still able to ride this would be on the bike, I'm impressed how its all down to just replacing the clutch disc and plates. Very slick design!
What is the model for the Milwaukee 8 2018 Roadking (Hydraulic Clutch)? And will it handle the stage IV kit by Harley? Also, is there an option to buy online?.
this is actually a great idea for jockey shifter users who wants to make a cleaner look in their handlebars.. just put the clutch lever on shifter, and front brake on left foot.. now we don't need to do "suicidal" things anymore..
We've been using this system for so long. Here in asia specifically Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines we call it semi automatic, that's what the manufacturer says but usually for low cc bikes.
Just added this wo my Wife's 2010 Tri Glide. Wish I knew about this years ago. Could have used it on her previous HD's. I wonder when they first were available for HD's ?
4:20 "When you use the clutch you're almost losing control with your left hand"? Is this for disabled people or people with impaired fine motor skill (dexterity) or a weak left side of the body?
I want it only because of traffic. My left hand starts to get cramped and I have to put it in neutral after a few minutes of holding the clutch lever. If it’s safe to do sometimes I go around traffic but that’s not always an option.
I was told the Rekluse EXP did not decrease lever pull for my XL1200C (for that, I'd need a EZ Pull clutch kit), but the Rekluse EXP comes with TWO hold down rings (so I could choose the one for easier lever pull)? Tell me I understand this correctly!
I have arthritis really bad in my hands. Getting almost impossible to work the clutch. This may be a way to help me ride without the trouble of operating the clutch.
I realize the new version of this clutch is the Radius CX. Do you still need to use the clutch when up shifting and downshifting? I only see comments on not using the clutch from a dead stop.
It's a great idea but for a big heavy bike like a Harley Davidson you better make sure you have it dialed in correctly and adjusted perfectly from what I understand you guys are still learning how to make this work with Harley I kept telling my friend I run synthetic ATF fluid instead of the regular Harley primary oil it would probably help his situation because he was having a hard time getting to your clutch to work correctly.
One question about operating this clutch. What happens when you do following: riding in 3rd gear, clutch in for a few seconds (so motor drops revs), release clutch. So this means what clutch will be not engaged because of low rpm in previous steps made it like you're stopped? So add more throttle and it will engage? will that be smooth?
Hi Mike, thanks for your question. When you give the motorcycle throttle, the clutch is designed to re-engage smoothly, even in the scenario you described. I would recommend you give our team a call at (208) 426-0659 8AM - 5PM MST if you have any more questions. I will also leave a link to our rider's guide which has a lot of info for riding with auto clutches: rekluse.com/support-docs/NPDLC/1XX-XXX/193-XXX/193-6215%20Riders%20guide%20for%20Harley-Davidson/193-6215A%20Riders%20guide%20%20HD.pdf
So.. Pretty much i still shift but never touch the clutch handle? Am I correct? And this can be installed on older motorcycles? Asking for a friend here since I would like to get a motorcycle for the first time. Thank you in advance
You still need to use the clutch lever to shift gears, but you don’t need to feed out the clutch lever when starting from a stop. If you’ve mastered clutchless shifting (power shifting), you don’t need to touch the clutch lever if you don’t want to. Still have questions? Feel free to give our team a call at (208) 426-0659 and they would be happy to assist.
Can you still use the clutch as you normally would? I like doing slow speed U-turns and using the friction zone of my clutch to do those.I am an MSF instructor and I ride how I teach.
Yes we offer the RadiusCX auto clutch and Core EXP 3.0 auto clutch for select Harley-Davidson Sportsters. RadiusCX is our top of the line auto clutch, which includes a billet pressure plate, center hub, TorqDrive friction disks and new drive plates. The Core EXP 3.0 is similar except for it re-uses your stock friction plates. To learn more and view these products, please visit rekluse.com/products/v-twin/ and us the "Select your ride" feature. You can also reach us at (208) 426-0659.
Thanks for your interest in Rekluse. Our clutches are designed to work in an enclosed, wet clutch setting, not an open primary. Let us know if you have any other questions or feel free to call us at (208) 426-0659 8AM - 5PM MST.
Thanks for your question. Our clutch systems are mode-specific, as each clutch system among models and years have variances. We do not currently have product for the 250 Rebel or 250 Virago. If you would like to make a product request so that our development team can monitor demand, please e-mail customerservice@rekluse.com.
While we do have some product options for the R3 and MT bikes, we currently do not offer anything for the R6. If you would like to submit a product request, please contact customerservice@rekluse.com or call us at (208) 426-0659. Thank you.
Everyone in this video talks about how easy with this Rekluse auto clutch but I want to know how this thing performs as far as performance goes? Same as stock or better?
Thanks for your question. Our clutch plates are made from steel, rather than aluminum, so they are better suited to handle heat and are more durable. Our TorqDrive clutch, a traditional manual style clutch, offers more clutch plates than stock, allowing you to increase torque capacity without needing to use stiffer pressure plate springs.
You'll still need to use the proper gear for the speed you're traveling, so yes, you'll have to shift still. With this, however, you won't need to pull the clutch lever to make the switch, you'll just kick up or down after rolling off the throttle.
Chris Campbell huh.... so I was think of getting this for my indian scout bobber. If I have this and a quick shifter installed, there would b no need to roll off the throttle at all right? You could just give it throttle and kick up through the gears...
Where can I find a dealer that will install one of these on my 2012 xl1200c Sportster? We live in Spring, TX ....just north of Houston. Please let us know! thank you ;-)
+Sandy Norwood Hi Sandy, Thank you for your interest in our products. We are currently working to develop a clutch for Sportster models. We should have something available this spring. When we do have the clutch ready, the dealer closest to you is San Jacinto Harley Davidson 281-975-0045. Please feel free to contact us at 866-735-5873 if you have additional questions.
Thank you for your question. We currently do not have product available for the 1985 Electra Glide. Our development team is aware of some demand for the older Harley-Davidson model years, but we cannot provide an ETA at this time when it would be developed. If you would like to send your phone and e-mail to customerservice@rekluse.com, your request will be logged and you will be put on a contact list should we develop this clutch. For more info you can also contact us at (208) 426-0659 8AM - 5PM MST. Let me know if I can provide any more info and have a nice day.

Be nice if the music wasn't louder than the voices. Hard to hear the commentary over the horrible, loud rock riff playing.... just a thought. The wife loves her rekluse clutch, although I need to learn to adjust it (seems it's always coming out of adjustment, eventually starts pulling after time. Has been adjusted several times now.
Hey Andrew, our clutches engage and disengage based on RPM. Shifting the transmission is still required, and the rider still needs to stay in the right gear for the situation. For example, you can come to a stop in 5th gear without touching the clutch lever. With your hand still off the lever, you can click the bike back down in to 1st gear, roll on the throttle, and the clutch will engage itself and drive the bike forward
Je ne comprend pas l'utilité d'un embrayage automatique sur une boite de vitesse manuelle..? La vrais utilité serait une boite de vitesse a variateurs cest a dire automatique bien pratique en cas de trafique routier important.

HD has gone to selling only high end, discontinuing the venerable Sportster. Now they expect us to spend 20K. Hope Rekluse wise up & start making them for other bikes as HD is gonna loose market share as sure as the Pope is a Catholic. Yamaha Bolt is a great alternative to the Sportster. Go check one out.
I may very we’ll be the only one who doesn’t see the point in spending money on this… I’ve been rodeoing for many years and I would not be interested if they have it to me. I don't see any use for an automatic clutch on a manual gearbox? the real utility would be an automatic variator gearbox! no more need for selector or clutch which would make people happy in the old custom or even in important road traffic ...
this has to be like, the greatest thing ever for somebody just learning to ride
No it’s good for people like me who put foot clutches and suicide shifters on bikes, makes them a lot easier and less dangerous
