- The NERF Rival Edge Series Saturn XX-1000 is a blaster that kind of popped up out of nowhere and instantly won the hearts of many. One look and you knew exactly what this was: another NERF Rival Kronos/Takedown reshell only big boi thicc n' chonky, but it turns out a few things have changed! Is it enough to make it worth the $40? Should Hasbro be paying YOU to take the weird tumble target thing off their hands? All these answers and more in one stupidly long TH-cam video.

as far as I'm concerned, this basically is ashe's rifle. the looks, the way of reloading, the priming method, it's practically perfect! still need the coach gun tho.

That's actually really a good thing! Everybody has biases, and as a reviewer you should be able to know what mine is and predict my opinions! That way, you are more surprised when my opinions differ from what you expect.

The perfect rival shotgun limited only by the pump grip, one of the most easiest replacement mods to achieve in this hobby.

@@WalcomS7 I wouldn't recommend it personally. I tried to put two takedowns together, it did not end well. The plastic doesn't take all the stress very well...

Man, this blaster looks amazing! Standard rival performance, comfortable grip, decent capacity, the only thing off about it is it's price, but even then, it's not horribly overpriced like other blasters. Still wish they could've found a way to place the feed gate on the bottom for a more "shotgun-like" reload, but regardless, its really cool!
Bringing it back old school, featuring a capacity of 10 rounds (+1 in the chamber), and smooth fire slam shot (slam fire) this shotgun is everything you need. Simple, smooth, and ready for a shoot out. The Saturn Will always be on your settle when you need it.
I've been waiting for you to get one of these. I knew you'd love it! Mine shot a little harder out of the box with a 98.8 average. My stock is very stable also. I am pretty impressed with it. Pretty easy work on of course with the Kronos catch and plunger system. Although K26 or K25 are not really good choices for springs. I put in a Worker 14kg Phantom Kronos spring, which fits perfectly, and got it to a 131 average. Still easy to slam fire with that spring load. I really dig the Saturn! Good to hear your thoughts on it. Miss y'all on Saturday nights!

Well I may have changed my mind. The saturn looks awesome and its a full size shotgun. But I have a feeling its going to be around 60$ Canadian when it eventually releases here. Where as a 10$ AF Liberator (Clearance FTW) + a Raider stock = surprisingly comfortable fullsize shotgun. That performs just as well for a fraction a fraction of the price.

Yeah, but trying to fire it without the stock is annoying. And if you remove the clip that locks the stock on, everytime you go to prime it, it'll try to pull outta the stock everytime. I ended up reinstalling that little clip.

That shotgun looks amazing, but my eye kept getting drawn to the Defender T3 on your shelf. Fond memories of that guy. When I was younger I shovelled driveways to save enough money for it and bought it from the Sears catalogue. Good times.

I'd be a lot more interested if it could take rival magazines. Like, from the rear, or under. Hopefully there are other shotgun solutions where there is an in-line replaceable magazine.
Or maybe some sort of first-party speedloader in shotgun fashion (tube with pusher mating up to port).

I’m just going to say this: if you like shotguns and don’t mind breech loading, this is definitely a good buy. I picked mine up, and am extremely happy with the product. Also, if you have a Prometheus, the sling will not fit on the Saturn. The titan sling kind of can, but you will end up damaging/potentially breaking the stock.

0:43 I absolutely agree with this statement and it goes back to what I said in some other video i don't remember but I don't mind the reshells especially if the aesthetics is worth the buy. I would take the BASR-L over the Tri-strike and they're basically almost the same type of blaster.
