- Hasbro sent me all 3 of the initial NERF Hyper blasters for review: the Rush-40, the Siege-50, and Mach-100 are all new blasters in 2021 firing the new NERF Hyper round! Question is... are any of them worth it? Do they live up to the hype? Does this mark the end of NERF Rival? We're going to unbox them, range test them, and put them over the chronograph to try and answer that question... are you ready to get HYPED?!

I would expect these to be discouraged for things like hvz. Imagine a proton pack with 2000 of them and then try to recover a fraction of that number.

Sometimes it feels like these three blasters were designed by three seperate engineers. Every one has so many weird inconsistencies and quirks that they really don't feel cohesive outside of name and colors.
I think they look fun, but I'd still choose rival. Especially when considering events outdoors.
Hey Jolt! I agree, Hyper has potential, but until I get a 400-round ball spewer the same size as a Prometheus, I'll pass.

@Raidenlorian maybe we can agree that all nerf guns and their equivalents are amazing and really fun? On the competitive side you're right, but nerf makes guns that are _fun._ it's the gimmicks that they excel in, and that's why I find them so fun

Across the board, they don't even include enough rounds to fill the blaster. I don't even have the words to adequately describe my emotions.
I'm not surprised, considering they only ever gave us 1 mag for mag fed blasters.

Bad accuracy man, they really gotta have accurate blasters not better fps in my opinion. Nerf just doesn’t get it right, capacity is great but they shoulda just made more rival blasters with some new tech or funny enough rival 2.0 but actually a big leap in ammo design and stuff and not just tiny inaccurate balls with high capacities

I have a feeling Hyper's legacy will be fitting more into the spring grenades and simulated Claymore mines.
EDIT (after watching the firing scenes) especially if Hyper blasters have such dismal accuracy.

@@JohnJames. The only useful Ultra has been the 2 filling the quick firing flywheel pistol niche - just wished they had done it in Rival too.
The handles and hand guards seriously give of boomco vibes, rip straws with sticky rubber I hope you shall be remembered
new ammo is always exciting! I'll have to see if I can find a barrel material for it.
I think a stacked drum feed would be amazing with these. Could get many rounds in, relatively reliably.
I'm a stoner, I thought having silicone pipes and bongs would be smarter to have because you wont ever break those accidentally. Until I realized, not only were they harder to clean, but they get sticky over time, especially from exposer to heat.
With that said, I don't think silicone rounds will be the best material for blasters over long periods of time.

It's definitely all about the Rush 40 for me, a pistol with that kind of capacity's gotta have something going for it, I kinda love it. The Siege is a maybe. Hard pass on the Mach, I'm not a modder, so I'll have to let Hasbro work out the kinks.

Hey you know, it's confusing thay Nerf is spending time making new ammo lines while doing nothing with their current lines, but maybe it's because they know they're not gonna beat Dart Zone at their own game, so they're trying to make a new market.
I like the carbon fiber motif they're going for on these blasters. I hope these get picked up by the aftermarket, there's gonna be some cool stuff we can do with these.

Y'know, if you're running and blasting with these could mitigate some of the clumping issues in games. But also on the opposite end, some kind of buckshot with those would be bonkers.
Although these three blasters may be considered a bit lackluster as you stated, these are the first experimented hyper brand blasters, and I for one am excited to see the future blasters and how they perform over the years of production

The mach 100 is a nerfed perses, seige is a nerfed hades, and the rush 40 is a improved roundhouse

Honestly I'm way more HYPED for the new Dart Zone blasters. TWO new pros, a rival blaster, A 60 ROUND SPECTRUM, and another full auto dart hopper blaster.
hot take - hopper blasters come with fewer rounds cuz you have to shake it to get it to feed.

Try taking a Rush 40 and cut out all the tabs from the barrel except for like 5 on the top and 2 or 3 on the bottom to try and get it to hop up the rounds
Huh, didn't think about how I tend to prime the blaster pointing up. That might cause issues with the hopper
Imagine double stacked nerf hyper magazines similar to rival mags I genuinely want to see that
Try dusting the rounds with a little corn starch and see if that fixes the jamming issue! I'm very curious to see if that does anything to help.
I have an idea to address the sticking issue; maybe coating them in a light layer of cornstarch could make them less sticky, if only by having the cornstarch stuck to them. However this may not be a good idea for the Mach 100 as it could mess up the flywheels.
If we ever get a magazine blaster from this line, like the rival Khaos that would be cool. I am worried about the new ammo rounds being sticky like you said in the video. Great review and best honest opinion of the new line.

Drac already put hyper rounds to use for sniper distances.
A quick shake in baby powder usually helps keep your balls from sticking together, so hyper should have no difference. And with that being said that's probably the last thing I'm ever going to have to do with hyper. Really just doesn't look like much of an improvement unless somebody comes out with something extraordinary.
Man I really like the fact that the extras come in pods, kinda like paintball pods
Nerf, it’s time to make a competitive line rivaling the dart zone adventure force pro series. At least 140 FPS, accurate short darts, doesn’t even need to be cheap, maybe a $80 nexus and $50 aeon.

Interesting... I honestly will be trying to make a hyper inline clip. I think that could be very cool, just because of how many more rounds you could fit in the same length as regular half length darts.

A little corn starch should solve the cluster problem. That's an ages old technique on how to keep balls from sticking together😏
I feel giving you less ammo for these is either them cheating us out, or to make sure it doesn’t jam up first day, because the rounds are rubber, and could get sticky or bounce around inside or something, and jam up the blaster, it could just be that, they CAN carry that much, but you might not want to, especially if running. Or they’re just cheating us out.
The right way to do this is design the hoppers to hold 50 or 120 rounds, advertise 40 or 100, and give you enough ammo to fill it to advertised capacity. The Chad move is to give some extra or even 1 complete reload, but this is Hasbro we are talking about.

I see potential with this at least. if clipazines are made for these, I assume the reliability will go way up, and allow for much better performances.
High capacity means nothing if it doesn't shoot everytime.
They really gotta make magazines for this so you can get consistent shots. Still personally like darts, but if hyper makes a spinning barrel minigun, I'm gonna buy it.
Siege 50’s stupid flap in the mag is the source of its jamming, I noticed that in my own siege 50. I’m sure removing or trimming it can work better.
Well, I'm curious to see where this line goes. When Rival came out the only two blasters left a lot to be desired. So I'm gonna wait for more to be released before I make my judgment call. Now, the ammo is interesting. I think this will be the perfect for the hobby's shotgun type blasters. 3-6 of these being fired simultaneously out of a large bore could be quite interesting

Sticky rounds was such a bad idea. Feeding issues and they are going to hold onto dirt and dust when they hit the ground. What a mess.
If the rounds get dirty and wont feed you'll be forced to buy new ones. Nerf is such a joke in my mind now it hurts my wife bought me an aeon pro and its easily one of my new favorite blasters.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for more from this new ammo/lineup. I think going with rubber instead of foam was a mistake. Rubber is too reactive. It melts easily and sticks to itself. And rubber is more expensive than foam.
I do wonder if the aftermarket could make foam hyper rounds that work with the blasters.
The pistol on its own looks good, but I'm so curious on what's going with the pump action blaster. Why is it so inconsistent, compared to the pistol? I can understand the flywheel blaster being inconsistent, with power and flywheel variables, but both the pistol and pump action are spring loaded, so what's going on?

I stopped caring about practicality a long time ago, at this point I base my purchases on what looks or feels cool, and I absolutely love how the Rush-40 and Mach-100 look, probably gonna pick one up at some point
Yes I have the rush 40 and the 50 round container is perfect I think like you is better than the other two for secondary or third as you need to return to base to refil with 30 round you can hold you ground

As for the stickiness - talc powder and everyday grit/dust will make the rounds less sticky.
Hopefully if Hasbro’s Hyper rounds have some issues maybe Dart Zone, Worker or some other brand will make a better compatible version soon

Do the hyper balls the same Diameter as elite darts? So if you had a jolt with the air restricter removed you could shoot the ball?
Would the foam 50cal rounds (from dr flux) feed properly in the mach 100 to solve the feeding problems? Or are dirty hyper rounds less sticky?
50 cal reusable paintballs might be worth trying in these, they should be a lot more consistently round and less sticky.
You know, if the Siege 50 could shoot more than one round at a time, the capacity would have been very reasonable

Honestly I want the manufacturers of off brand darts to make their rounds have a rubber core for the benefits of rubber (higher mass) but then be covered in a small layer of silicone or paint to prevent sticking and bouncing. If that happens, and the off brand is cheap I think the blasters will be worth it.
I'll surely buy one hyper blaster to experiment, like I do with other ammo types that aren't my thing--but not one of these first ones, since hyper will surely get cooler than this. If I were considering getting deep into hyper, I'd first have to reconsider getting back into airsoft instead.
