Hi theacher ,May I ask something? "Good managers know that their job is to look out for their employees' interests, as well as those of the company. " In this sentence "those" refers to "company's interests" . But how?How can I learn deeply about this structure? Please give me some advice!
Hello Andrew! How are you? I have a question. I wonder can i use this expression in the past and in the future tenses? For example: I was looking forward to meeting her. I will be looking forward to meeting her. Many thanks in advance!
Hi, I'm very well. Thanks for your comment and question. Yes, those expressions are grammatically correct. We would perhaps say "I was looking forward to meeting her" if we change our opinion about someone. Example: "I *was* looking forward to meeting her but then I discovered that she is not a good person." (Therefore I am no longer looking forward to meeting her!) I hope that helps you. Best wishes Andrew
Hello Andrew! It means the world to me! Very professional explanation. I look forward to your new lessons! 👍 I used "look forward to" cause i am writing to you. I hope it is correct. Best wishes Kakha
Mr andrew Hi I wanted to say that if you just could record more about tenses You know in my opinion your videos in this field are good but not enough. Hello Andrew! I am confused a little bit. On the 8th min of the video is shown such sentence as "Mark is visiting me next week." So can we use Present continuous in this case with the words for future tense "next week"? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Because of being frasal verb "look forward to" is following with "ing" form of the verb. I looked forward to your reply. I will look forward to your reply.
I'm looking forward to SEEING .....(second form), .but it's better to say or write: I lOOK forward to SEEING.....but "look forward" is very common in written English, in this case I think is better to write your sentence so: "I hope to see another video very soon" because is not verified of a second video with this topic.
Hello Andrew ! The lesson of " look forward to " is very interesting and insightful.
