Yeahhhh.... Not Samoan but went to that game. Best game i've ever been too, great atmosphere. Was sitting in the corner where Tuilangi scored.

The first international rugby game I watched being 17 at the time. Same year I started playing rugby. In 2015 I earned my first cap HSBC 7s for the USA in wellington. Love Rugby!!!!!!!!! Wish I had known the sport from 4 years of age

This was when the Local Samoa Rugby Union was in control of Manu Samoa. Won the 7's circuit in 2010, beat #2 Australia in 2011, almost beat the Springboks in 2012, beat Italy, Scotland, and 6 Nations Champs Wales in 2013. Then World Rugby hijacked Manu Samoa and they haven't been same since.
Tuilagi woke up and chose violence that fateful day.

Is this the game that is under investigation for Wallaby player's match fixing? I hope not because it would cloud one of the gutsiest wins in International rugby. I was so proud of my Manu cousins on this day.
They did say it was juicy odds and a team not expected to win.. Greg Martin says at 1:13 Samoa were paying $13 for the win.
Australia has had a few bad years but most of the losses were against tier 1 nations. It’s only really this game and Scotland in Newcastle that stand out, and the Scottish game featured diabolical weather, so hard to think you could be suspicious of dropped balls..

Unfortunately this is a far cry from what the men in blue are like now. Hope they can regain this form in time for Japan, especially since Samoa are in a fairly easy pool with a chance to make the quarterfinals.

It's quite rare for Samoa to be given a fair chance to compete against the big nations. If Samoa were against an European side, Samoa definitely would have felt some unfair treatment. That's how Europeans operate. Look at how Europe, the Americas and Japan passed rules that prohibit Samoa from selecting Samoans who hadn't played for a representative NZ or Aus side for a year or so, yet they don't mind poaching Samoan players. Europe and their allies can take Samoans but Samoa can't take other Samoans. By the way, NZ, Oz and S. Africa were on our side in this matter but were outvoted by Europe and its allies.
