RLWC organizers booked samoas flight home the week prior to this match, they werent even meant to make the GF. So it's not surprising the refs weren't calling a fair match. What an inspiring playoff run from Toa Samoa and respect to Matt Parish for refusing to let the ship go down after that crushing loss in game 1 💪🇼🇸 regardless of the GF outcome these lads did themselves and their people very proud. I'm excited to see them go all the way again in the next one.

Dunno what you were watching, but they were just an English Northerner and a colour commentator English guy. What did you expect? In fact, the main commentator, while clearly behind England, was keeping it pretty even, and the colour commentator is there for the England bias, after all. And no, I am not a Brit, nor from a rugby-playing country, so as neutral as they come. Obviously, I only ever saw the highlight reel here, so maybe the two guys were far more pro England. Well done to Samoa for putting one over the England team. And this is about as much as I'll bother with League for the next few years.

I wonder how England managed to avoid Australia and New Zealand throughout the group and quarter final stages. The fixture gods obviously smiling on England. Far be it from me to suggest otherwise. However, England didn't expect to lose this after the 60 point drubbing they dished out to Samoa in the group stage. I think it was 70:30 in terms of England underestimating Samoa and giving them the respect they deserved. Samoa put a much better plan for this game, looked like they played together (wasn't the case in the group game) and out-played England on the day. Superb all-round by Samoa. They will have their hands full with Australia. But, no-one expected them to win this game and they did. If they manage to win the final, that would be a day of days in Rugby League history. I'll be supporting Samoa for Sunday.
I can't tell if you were being facetious or not? However, just in case you weren't, it was impossible for England to meet either Australia or New Zealand before the Final. They're the Home Nation, so the draw is designed that way. Personally, I think it's good that there are minnow teams in there who are getting the chance to play Test Matches against the big boys, but on the other hand it is a bit of a problem, because the top three teams spend a month playing easy games before they meet one another, then they suddenly have to play for keeps. I mean ... I suppose it's good in a way, because it allows something like this to happen, but I'm not entirely convinced that it ends up proving who the best in the world is. It's actually very hard to maintain your standard when you aren't being tested, and you're playing against weaker teams?
