I have the Nostalgia and it was forever leaking batter even when I didn't put the recommended amount in it. The waffles would also stick to both plates no matter how I sprayed it so they essentially broke apart into top and bottom every time. I bought the Dash multi mini waffle maker after a month or less of using the Nostalgia. I like it so much better.
I heat my nostalgia up while getting the ingredients together. I've never had a problem in a year now. Dash dies heat hotter but I like the control of heat on nostalgia.
Hello, the waffles from the dash mini waffle maker fit the Hamilton Beach sandwich maker. I like to make a bunch of the mini waffles and make sandwiches in my Hamilton Beach Sandwich Maker.
I bought a Dash and a Nostalgia waffle maker because I noticed the Dash made more traditional looking waffles than the Nostalgia one. The nostalgia looked more like a Belgian waffle and I didn't care for those. The dash did better. It cooked a crisp waffle in 2 mins where the Nostalgia took 4 mins and it still wasn't crispy. I use my Nostalgia one for chaffles only. It works good for that. You'd think the Nostalgia would have made a crispier waffle at 550 watts, but the Dash did much better at 350 watts. Go figure.
Thank you for this. I got the dash one but i felt it didn't make waffles properly every single time for me to use everyday so i just left it in the drawer. It was always a hit or miss, i just seen a heart shaped Nostalgia one so i will be trying that one. Thanks for review!!❤🎉
Yeah, I have the Nostalgia one it definitely doesn't get as hot.. and the cheese never gets that crispy look. It's OK if you want to make limpy bread for sandwiches. I really wish I'd of bought the Dash. I wrapped it around a hotdog
I’ve got the dash I’ve been using for a year. I seen the nostalgia at a thrift store and thought and can make twice as many Chaffles in the same amount as time. I like them crispy like cheese toast . Just like the review I experienced the same review as the video . I love the dash !
UGH, these is like the third comparison of Dash vs Nostalgia mini makers I've watched and they all show you the difference in size and power rating and then cook them for the same amount of time. NO, different size, different power rating, they are not going to cook the same in the same amount of time! Why do you think you can give a review when you don't understand simple logic!
@@tomtran995 You put the same amount eggs in both makers. Nostalgia is slightly bigger, and you put also less cheese - it was not filled enough. And maybe little longer time to do. I have a Dash, but you can't work the same way with both griddles.
I recommend the Nostalgia mini maker👍. I was lucky to find a damaged box and paid 5$ a Walmart. It makes the best chocolate chip cookies and Cinnabons 😁
I agree..........he put the same amount of eggs in both makers. But Nostalgia is little bigger. He put less cheese in Nostalgia too. It was not filled enough. And if it is bigger, it need maybe 1 min. more, than Dash. I have a Dash, but my KETO dough usually overflow the griddle. I am looking for some little more capacity.
Dash @300 watts = crispy vs Nostalgia @500 watts half crispy? Nostalgia is clearyly lying about the wattage. Besides many cooking devices have less than 500 watts yet still make food crispy. More proof Nostalgia is lying about the wattage. GOT IT. 😏

So far, none of the things I have tried doesn't get crispy. Plan on getting the Dash ASAP.

I've made crispy hash browns and also crispy corned beef hash in my Nostalgia in addition to waffles I'm satisfied with it so far.
It's a waffle maker.....why cook anything else in them? 😳

I like the Dash, I have a light green one, I usually spray non stick spray on it before I make waffles.
