- Can you believe that for only £5.00 we were given a wrap comprising of a Lebanese flatbread, which was filled with 5 pieces of freshly fried crispy falafel balls. We absolutely love down to earth, honest places like this.
FALAFEL RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Chickpeas (soaked for at least 15 hours)
* Leek
* Red Chillies
* Hot Green Chillies
* Fresh Parsley
* Fresh Coriander
* Garlic
* Onion
* Coriander Seeds
* Sesame Seeds
* Cumin Seeds
* Bicarbonate of Soda
* Homemade Falafel Spice Mix (The following dry spice powders mix can be used: Coriander Powder, Allspice, Marjoram, Basil Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Caraway Seeds, Fennel, Cumin, Cinnamon,)
* Salt
* Cold Water
What makes their "fully loaded" vegan and vegetarian falafel wraps very special is that they come with the following pickles and salad fillings:
* Hummus
* Iceberg Lettuce Salad
* Cucumber
* Carrot
* Sliced Tomato
* Pickled Cucumber Gherkins
* Pickled Turnip (Coloured pink with Beetroot)
* Taziki (Garlic, Cucumber, Mint, Vegan Yogurt)
* Baked Potato

What he says his secret spice is just zaatar, or Aleppo thyme mix. Very common in Lebanon and Syria, it's a mix of dried thyme leaves, sumac, coriander, sesame seeds, cumin, and some have ground nuts/seeds such as peanut, pistachio or sunflower seed

In Lebanon it's also often made using a mix of chickpeas and fava beans, basically a mix between Levantine and Egyptian falafel.
You can tell how legit he is when he does the measurements of ingredients with his hand, god bless him, those look absolutely amazing

We have dozens of imbiss where you get falafel sandwich but no one does it better than these small cabin kitchens with lovely hand crafted goodness. Honest and healthy ingredients. 5 quids is the fairest price both not to high and not to low. Here in Germany we also have a few of guys like him. One is even called Mr. Falafel xD
I've been here by accident a few times on my way to meetings and starving - the gentleman serving is so humble, the food amazing and caters for everything I ask. Highly recommended 10/10

The first falafel wrap I ate was filled with shredded cabbages and was disgusting and my daughter was seriously sick by the time we got home ! This looks like the real deal !

There used to be a Lebanese Kebab place up the road opposite Archway tube but it closed about a year ago 😞 Had the falafel from here last Saturday and it was good! Definitely recommended.
I'm really pleased to read that you got a chance to try the falafel here, the owner is a nice man too.
Always sad to hear of any independent (especially food) shops that close down,
(opposite Archway Station, many years ago there used to be a cafe/restaurant called Archgate, i used to go out of my way for their Mezze platter, when it closed it felt like someone had died)...
