Always wanted to see this... August 27, 1991. I was probably getting ready to start my 5th grade year. I didn't imagine that some 33 years later I'd be sitting here on a thing called TH-cam where I get to catch up on everything I missed while learning about the meanings of different climates!
And can we just say what a pro Marilyn Chris was as Wanda. Always impassioned, real, the aunt/grandmother/friend you wanted on your side. She leaves by 1994 I believe, and Llanview was not the same once she left.
It's nothing against Laura Bonarrigo/Kaufman, but the writers who wrote Cassie at this point wrote her atrociously. This is a girl who came to Llanview when she was 15 years old to find her mother Dorian, all the while being self-sufficient. She was always a rebel, stood her ground against her mother and privilege. Cassie saved a friend's life who had been drugged and kept captive by Llanview's premiere criminal - Mitch Laurence. Cassie helped rescue her father David and stepmother Jenny escape from spies in Vienna... Now all of a sudden, Cassie goes into shock over Alex, a jealous psychopath out to get her?! If the writers got hip and wrote for the real Cassie, she would have thrown down with Alex and punched her out way before... *SPOILER ALERT* Alex punched Cassie out on the day of her wedding to Bo. Though Laura did a lot of wonderful things with the character later on, the character was never supposed to be written as a damsel in distress, but a resourceful heroine.

Thanks for posting this. What a great time for the series, and for soaps. All your efforts to keep the series alive are much appreciated.

In reality, that guard would have had backup guards.

And apparently she can't even swim! I don't blame LK, either.
Wow Nigel had been on oltl a long time
Gloria estafan playing the words get in the way
Jason could easily be mistaken for Megan. Plus he did NOT just cut down wonderful Cordero.
Jason told the truth about Cord and his ever-running mouth.
🤣🤣🤣
Cord is a hilarious magpie.
Magpie? But yes Cord is very self righteous and has a major superiority complex, always belittling Tina.
“Lameview!??” Oh, that is it!!
Oh no did Asas mansion stay like this?I like the old set up and colors.
It pretty much stayed like this until the show ended in 2012
@ thanks
Llanfair also got a facelift a few months after this
Alex could never take that guard. But a mad person has the strength of 10? I still think the guard could have mopped the floor with her.
