@Nelson Robert Willis Excellent insight. NOT an exaggeration. Genesis and Phil Collins will be revered in the decades to come, I predict. Much as some classical composers and performers of their day were vastly under appreciated. History has a way of letting the cream rise. We must just enjoy the creative genius and let the critics wallow in their ignorance and self importance.
(it is so fun to see the recent reaction videos becoming so popular seeing Phil Collins for the first time....in his later LIVE version of 'In the Air Tonight' they are blown away when he slyly jumps on the drums at the last second. Being coached as a young actor he knows how to use drama. He brought a lot more to Genesis than just great drums and a perfect voice)

@Nelson Robert Willis Thanks again. I checked into it and you are so right. Dave Meyers is amazing. But this jazz group (link below) is beyond good. If you like jazz, you don't even need to know the music to be blown away, but to know it is crazy. SO GOOD. I only hope Phil Collins has heard this, I am sure he would approve:

    Like wtf?
And playing guitar 🎸 and 🎹 keyboards with two hands while background singing is no simple feat either.

I agree, and Phil’s voice is so unique that you can’t mistake it, the emotion he puts into it gives just as much message as the lyrics of the songs that he could sing nonsense words and you’d still feel the meaning behind the song.

People tend to sleep on Phil Collins' drumming ability, because of his unique voice & great talent as songwriter. That being said, he's definitely a capable drummer. Ive seen him dual other drummers back in the early Genesis days. The man absolutely can hold his own on the sticks! Besides that, keeping time, while singing & drumming, isn't the easiest thing to pull off!

    Today is 20 feb 2023.
Phil Collins and I are literally spiritually connected, does he know it?
I have none of his talent and some of his good looks, but the minds of the people that grew up with this music have a depth in their joy and a respect for everyone.
Today is 61. And the world outside looks so unkind, i do not want to get out of bed at 1030.
There is a feel of a steamroller that i do not think comes from me. Is someone going to flatten me today?
This song came on just now when i turned on my phone, but, i searched for it 3 weeks ago and the phone google search froze up. Thank you God for giving me a moment to listen to Phil.

It’s such a pity Phil’s health ended his drum playing ability, he’s a bigger influence on drum players than they realize
