@@TravelTouristVideos It's now, 1:18 (PST) on the west coast. I should be sleeping. Why am I watching all of your food videos and driving myself crazy, salivating?!
We just came off the Regal Princess and your video is exactly what we experienced. Great food in the Horizon Buffet or in the dining rooms. Room service for coffee in the morning was on time, every time. Waiters in the dining room were very friendly and the food was wonderful. The Medallion systems is FANTASTIC. We ordered some drinks and within 5 minutes they were delivered to us.
That's fantastic to hear! We're glad our video reflects your experience on the Regal Princess. The food and service were really good, and we agree about the Medallion system- other cruise lines should adopt it!
I really like how you edit your videos and actually show the food. So many just pan over the offerings quickly and we don't see them well. We watch the food videos to actually see the food so I appreciate how you clearly show what is available. On a side note, what kind of weirdo puts raisins in their pancakes? LOL
You can clearly see you make the extra effort! I love watching your videos, please continue doing what you do as you guys are amazing! Thank you so much x
Great Video, I have been on 4 Princess Cruises all 10 day, and the food was always fantastic, from the main Dining Room to the Buffet, and yes the International Cafe is great.
I'm going on my first Princess cruise in November. We had a really bad first time cruise experience with MSC Virtuosa last year, the food was luke warm and we had an awful sickness bug day 4/7 so the trip was disappointing. So I heard amazing things about Princess cruises.
Great selection. I'm not a huge breakfast eater, but it's nice having a good selection every day. We recently did Canada/NE on Caribbean Princess. I like how they put out that platter of fried eggs (I don't see that on every cruise line). The omelet ordering method is also a good idea. The smoked fish choices is a nice 'upscale' touch. The complimentary coffee on our cruise was particularly good. Some boards made it sound like they were rolling out a new coffee supplier, maybe they hadn't fully dialed in the grounds/water ratio, so much of the coffee actually was coming out a tad too strong, but with maybe a 1/2" of hot water added, it was a really good, bold cup of coffee. Too strong is good, too weak and there's nothing I can do about it of course...
Thanks for sharing your experience from the Caribbean Princess! Agree that their complimentary coffee was actually pretty good, and yeah we also thought the buffet selection was excellent.
I dunno, I’m torn. While I much prefer the slow pace of the MDR during breakfast, I’m just not hot on what’s offered. I don’t care which cruise line you’re talking. The offerings just don’t seem appealing to me. You’ve gotta hand it to Princess though 💁♂️. They still know how to put out a really good buffet. I don’t care what meal you’re having, Horizon Court has it all. It’s clean, it’s bountiful, it’s loaded with options for every pallet… yet like every cruise ship buffet, it’s the most popular venue, so it’s *crowded.* Then you have the International Cafe. The offerings are compact, quick-grab, and very tasty. And of course, I love that it’s located inside the Piazza. What I found myself doing was loading up a couple of plates at the buffet and then making the trip down to the Piazza. I’d sit right next to International Cafe, and just use it for my coffee needs. The Piazza is such a great escape from all the hubbub happening inside Horizon Court. I’ll probably never do room service. The options are far too limited, and you don’t get to people watch. Another great video, David! ~Scott
Yeah the buffet had an excellent selection with food with a variety of tastes. It can get a little crowded, but you can usually get your food very quickly. And the breakfast offerings at the International Cafe surprised us just by the variety and some unique breakfast dishes there as well, and of course it's a great place to just hang out. Thank you very much Scott for the comment! 😊
This is an excellent view of breakfast offerings. We will be on the 16-day Princess cruise LAX-Hawaii in late Sept-mid-Oct. I have my breakfasts already planned! Thank you so much. ❤
Wow great job! I really appreciate showing all the items that change daily. Most people say the breakfast is the same every day. Obviously they don't look or read very well.
Thank you very much! 😊 Yeah we're always curious ourselves if there's anything new. Talking to the crew at the buffet & MDR helps as they have the insight, so we were able to be better prepared to capture the different items.
Thank you. The video is not only very informative but very unique because of good background music. It is rare these days. I like jazz and for the life of me I can not understand why everybody uses generic AI generated electronic tunes. I never leave comments for videos but this time I just could not help it! Thanks again.
Our pleasure- glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 We're happy to hear that you liked the background music because it's not easy to look for the music to match, and jazz seems to fit well. Thanks for the comment!
I missed this video when you released it. We went to the MDR only on the first day. We really lovef the selection of the buffet. Our favorites were the congee, the various fish offerings, and the tapioca toppes with the pureed fruits which I now make for breakfast at home. I will say that of all cruise lines, buffet supervisors are out there making sure that everything is right during meal service. The International Cafe is an excellent, especially on disembarkation day. I am growing to like the idea of driving from the Tucson area to Galveston for cruises. Cheap hotels, cheap parking and interesting stops along the way offset the discomfort of the drive.
Yeah they had some nice breakfast offerings - good selection at the buffet and the IC. The latter is a great choice especially for disembarkation day. We went to the buffet first on disembarkation morning and were surprised that it wasn't super crowded. That's quite the drive from AZ to Galveston, but sounds like u enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment! 😊
@@TravelTouristVideos We added two days upfront at the Houston Space Center and planned three days in San Antonio which we ended up cancelling due to bad weather. We seldom do a cruise only as the cost of getting to the ports is a major cost.
It's always nice and make things more worth it to visit local highlights while going to the port or back. We also visited the Space Center right before this Princess cruise. They had this neat light display called Galaxy Lights as well.
That's great to hear! We really liked their selection for breakfast buffet. MDR breakfast menu wasn't very extensive but it was nice they had a daily special.
@@TravelTouristVideos Princess also had a dining room lunch on embarkation day. It was a nice surprise and a great way to begin the cruise even though the lunch menu was small.
@@ChristianLehrer That's nice to hear that Princess still has MDR lunch on embarkation day! We used to enjoy doing that on other lines like NCL, but unfortunately most have stopped offering that.
I'm not picky, but I do like to know what to expect. You did an excellent job showing all the offerings for breakfast, including the rotation items. Thank you for doing this!! We're heading to Alaska in a little more than 40 days on the Crown princess. I imagine that the food is the same
Our pleasure- thanks for the comment! 😊 The food should be pretty similar, but would love to hear from you after your cruise how it was. Have a great time in Alaska!
Their breakfast selections looked amazing! The open sandwich with smoke salmon and tomato from the International Cafe looked delicious! I’d prefer eating at the MD rather than buffet, especially if the food in the main dining is good. Thanks for sharing!
I hope you are able to take a Viking or Oceania cruise sometime. Both lines say they have the best food onboard, so many of us would love to hear your opinion and whether the extra cost of the cruise is worth it, at least where cuisine is concerned.
International Cafe it’s our favorite place for breakfast, my husband loves the place as he also gets his large americano with 2 extra shots every morning.
I been on grand princess for only 7 days was sad on disembarkation day the food is amazing we loved like royal i dont think no one can have the food luxury if you on dry land been on princess cruises is a total of being spoiled Great video well done

That was interesting but I think the cruise I'm taking soon on the Discovery Princess to Mexico is going to be a little different. I booked two, 7-day cruise consecutively. The 1st is going to be at capacity (3,500 people). Not looking forward to that but since I'm traveling alone it shouldn't be too bad.. Haven't checked the 2vd cruise yet. However, what you've shown was what I remember 9-yrs. ago the last time I cruised on Princess Was it simply the slower pace in the MDR that attracted your family? I don't remember the Buffet being particularly rushed. Thx for porting
We tried the different venues just to see what are available. Would love to hear from you, after you get back, how the Discovery Princess breakfast was compared to what you saw in the video!
Pretty sure they make most of it themselves, as they have a bakery in the galley. Items like the gluten-free bread, however, would be from off the ship.
is the room service breakfast still free... do the daily gratitudes paid apply to this service ...are their hidden fees? Our 12 year old wants to try this service while my husband and i go to the main dinning room
What sucks is they took away the coffee package you could buy just by itself. We loved that and it was only 30 dollars for the 7 day cruise. Now you have to buy a drink package and I dont drink soda so why bother it cost way to much.
Apparently you are a graduate of my Television Production classes in high school. I must have given you an "A" in "Proofreading Graphics.' I didn't catch ONE typographical error!
I don’t understand why the video, posted only 3 months ago, says room service is ordered via a bit of paper left outside cabin door… it’s been via the app and smart TV for quite some time now.
It's still an option. 14:10 It literally says: "To order breakfast for tomorrow using this form, fill in the number... and hang this tag outside your door before going to bed." Of course you can order from app and cabin TV as well, but we've seen many of these outside of other guests' cabins.
We've been on three Princess cruises, and they were all less than impressive. Long waits for an elevator, hard to get a coffee, and I have even had the staff at their omelet station give away my omelet.
I didn’t think so but I must have high standards as I thought all that buffet food looked like mass produced crap. No oversight for spending at the DAs office? What could wrong..........I guess we are watching what went wrong with Ms. Wills. Good luck tax payers of Fulton County, keep paying the lady.
We went to Grand Princess cruise in Sept, 2023 for South Pacific Crossing. The food were salty and rotten especially main dinning room. I vomited after lobster dinner and was sick for the rest of the trip. I don't recommend Princess Cruise.
That's terrible- sorry to hear that! Yeah we haven't heard the best things about the Grand Princess either- whether be in the news or via fellow cruisers like yourself. Surprised Princess haven't done more to address.
I’m on the Grand in June heading to Anchorage from Vancouver. All of my research and TH-cam videos that I’ve watch are delighted at all of the Dining options, locations and the food quality. I’m looking forward to the entire cruise and gaining 10 pounds.
It’s happens once in a while if you cruise often enough. I got part raw fish (not sushi) on one RCCL cruise which I spotted before I ate it luckily enough.
We are on the princess majestic to Alaska the worst cruise I’ve ever been on super crowded ship enormous size. The food is average. The service is terrible. The destinations are tourist traps never princess again.
Sorry to hear it's so crowded! Yeah the Majestic can hold a lot of guests, and it's peak season for Alaska cruises. You might like Holland America or Celebrity better as they're not as crowded and have good food.

No oversight for spending at the DAs office? What could wrong..........I guess we are watching what went wrong with Ms. Wills. Good luck tax payers of Fulton County, keep paying the lady.
I see carbs and more carbs with a side of bread!
Spoiled by the jazz piano music…
Thanks for the feedback! 😊
I remember getting so sick after eating at Panera Bread. I think it was the cheese.
brocolli and cauliflower for breakfast eww and i dont want to know what flavor of smoothie is greem
Yeah that green smoothie seemed very bright green like some coloring was added. Didn't get to try it but probably was a blend of spinach and cucumber.
DELIAHHHHH
We are on the princess majestic to Alaska the worst cruise I’ve ever been on super crowded ship enormous size. The food is average. The service is terrible. The destinations are tourist traps never princess again.
Sorry to hear it's so crowded! Yeah the Majestic can hold a lot of guests, and it's peak season for Alaska cruises. You might like Holland America or Celebrity better as they're not as crowded and have good food.
Cake and doughnuts for breakfast? 🤢
I tell you mate, you're fartin sparks!
They have the worst tasting coffee I’ve ever had in my life!!!
The Lattes and coffee on Emerald Princess, at Coffee and Cones...was super good! The MDR coffee was a bit bland...
most of that food looks under cooked and made like processed foods eww i wouldnt eat any of it. i can cook so much better .
Gross cafeteria food heart stoppers cholesterol killer food yuk
All of those? What about the smoothies?
PAH. PPPPPAH. PAHHHHH PPPPPPPAH. No thanks rofl
