I found this topic very interesting and to surprise to my knowledge I always thought elevating the platters where my two cats eat were the appropriate way to feed them but listening and learning from the video makes sense the platter mentioned is a better option where they take more time eating and liking their food absolutely a better digestion at the end specially for the fast eaters, I’m buying two platters for my cats for sure, thanks to Dr. Judy and Carol Smeja for this video. ❤️🙏🏼

I am blown away by this information. I had no idea. I was looking at all of this as a human... I thought feeding my dog her breakfast and dinner in the laundry room was the best way for her. In my mind it is quiet, out of the way of the general busy traffic (lots of movement) in our tiny condo, and on the linoleum floor that can be mopped. I use a low silver metal dog bowl (the kind that keeps them from wolfing down the food) all sitting on a plastic matt next to her water. I always speak to her if I need to enter the room, so she knows it is me as I say, to put down fresh water, so she is not startled by my movement. We only have one dog so there is no "competition" between animals. In the afternoon, when she gets her fruit filled Kong and her pumpkin filled bone this is fed on the open sunporch on her bed. She has to work at getting these foods (with she really likes) lots of licking, chewing, and working the bone. My rescue is a VERY eager eater, and eating is never a problem for her.

I (and my standard poodle) love the pet platter! It's really the best way to feed and cleanup is so easy too. I plan on purchasing 2 more for my grandpups at holiday time.

Thank you. Very interesting. I am currently feeding kibble. My husband does not think we can afford to feed raw to 2 Great Pyrenees at this time. Any suggestions on how the plater can work for them?

My dogs always ate better than me 😂. The last one was so spoiled that I would buy rabbit and grind it and buy sardines and chikn feet and turkey necks.
Now I have cat and one thing I know I am done with spoiling, eat your dam kibbles of starve .

Dr Morgan, what about elevating the food surface off floor if using this method?
