    Interestingly enough, every single coyote that i've pulled off of the road after being hit by a car, they've always had sparkling white teeth. They are by far healthier than 'vetted' animals. Pet owners need to step up and take over the care for their pets minus injury care.

    Thank you very much for this . . . My two 1 year yorkie pups recently needed diagnostic testing and surgeries that my area holistic vet couldn’t perform provide due to the narrowing focus of his practice after multiple decades in service. UC Davis saved my pups but didn’t hesitate to shame me with regard to food, flea and tick meds and vaccines, at every visit. The shame is on you, UCD! Shame on you UCD for suggesting that I put my pups at risk for your financial benefit!

    So glad I caught your video today. My almost 12 yr old Doberman is living proof of the benefits of feeding raw. Lost my 1st Dobe at 6 yrs after a 2 yr battle with DCM. He was a kibble fed dog. Now I know there is also a genetic component with this breed, so when I got my 2nd (who was a re-home of 4 1/2 yrs old) I switched her to a commercial raw product plus additional heart and other supplements. She looks like a dog half her age, energetic, no grey hairs around her muzzle. People don't believe how old she is. Sick of arguing with vets about why she isn't on a grain diet. They just don't get it. I will never feed kibble again.

      Thank you. There's quite a list: vit E, spirulina, kelp, Camelina oil (for skin), Grizzly Joint Aid (for arthritis), just started her on Vet Smart Critical Immune Defense (that has put a real bounce in her step) and organic Flax seed oil. She gets one whole sardine and quail egg daily, plus blue berries broccoli sprouts and chicken hearts. Some of these items were also recommended by a breeder. Think that's about it. I feed 2 different brands of commercial raw to ensure she gets good variety. But after watching Dr Judy I'm going to revisit their ingredient list in case we're missing something.

    It's disgusting thinking how much animal waste and mold-infused grain are turned into commercial pet food, and then the manufacturers charge a fortune for it. I have several of Dr. Judy's books and also Dr. Conor's book about Feeding Raw, as well. Recipes are included in their books, along with recommended raw foods for certain health conditions. Thanks for sharing this topic with us because the dog food manufacturers certainly aren't going to put it out there for us.

    My baby Cat Leone (14 years old) was in good health until received his vaccine and by order of the vet he had to start eating food "for senior adults cats" and vitamins to buy on Amazon, we imagined it was the best for the baby, but no! His health began to decline, he became thinner, had little appetite and rejected those vitamins that the vet forcibly gave him! They took a complete test and no found nothing, the vet always said "how strong this cat!" But very late I opened my eyes! When my babe Leone had already entered in his blood and start had problems breathing, poor appetite and only drank water, until he died last January 2nd. It is not a coincidence that TODAY many PETS are dying and almost the same painful death 🙏 Excuse me but NOW I do not believe in those manufactured foods or their vitamins or their vaccines! 😿 Thanks for the video 💫🙏

    I have working European Dobermans and as you know Dobermans are prone to DCM. I can’t express how happy I am that I found your channel. You have cleared up so much information for me. I previously fell into being misled about the Doberman needing grains. I’ve fed raw in the past (about 20 years ago I started feeding some of my dogs raw. The only reason I didn’t feed all of them raw is some were too hard to keep weight on with the diet I was feeding back then) I’m currently feeding your heart healthy recipe from your website.
    I have two questions for you: 1. How do I adjust the diet for dogs that are really hard to keep enough weight on (working dogs that burn a lot of calories)? Is it okay to add a small amount of Lard? And 2. I’m adding the supplement “ Vertex Canine Essentials” to their raw food. Do I need to worry about over supplementing them with them being on the “formula CV”, CoQ10, and taurine along with the Vertex Canine Essentials?

    Anyone who has no knowledge of pet health or willing to research anything and try to have an open mind shouldn’t have pets. They can’t take care of them then don’t have them especially if they have anger issues to justify vets when vets don’t know everything. My dog is allergic to grain and even if she wasn’t I would never feed grain pets r not made to eat grains u think some dog or cat in the wild is gonna go munch on wheat or corn, no they r gonna go hunt a animal. Well I'd like to know why I think I misunderstood in the last videoWhy are they saying that the grain-free foods are not good for especially large like my lab mix at least this is what my vet said he told me that they need some grains. :/ my Lord I don't know if I can even afford to feed the three I got if I stop feeding dog food so I don't know where to start

    I started looking for answers and I started asking my pets , once you start paying attention to them you can't not see it . I'm heart broken that I didn't figure this out before . I know for all my future pets they will never have to go threw what my previous pets had to go threw . And I will never buy from anything purina / Mars or any other company that doesn't have our family members health as there number 1 goal. I don't eat junk not sure why I thought it was ok for me to feed it to my pets all these years .

    I was feeding my girl grain free Honest Kitchen (it says it's all human grade food). A couple of months ago, she totally turned her nose up at it. Wouldn't touch it. So I added stuff because I thought she was just being picky. Then she got really bad diarrhea. So I switched her. She has cushings and a heart murmur and liver issues. It's been the hardest couple of years. The vet nearly killed her. She's on denamarin now, and that helps SO much! Still, this whole process has been absolutely hell 😢

      What happened with Honest kitchen food?

    • @Sarahopal
      @Sarahopal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @zulaicacartagena5575 I'm not sure what it was. I fed the same food to her for a long time and she loved it. I just thought it was odd that at the same time dogs are turning their noses up to other foods and getting sick, my dog had that exact reaction to this food. Diarrhea and vomiting etc... I started making her food at home and that all went away. Maybe it's a certain ingredient that all these dog food manufacturers were using?

    • @zulaicacartagena5575
      @zulaicacartagena5575 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Sarahopal thank you, I have two bulldogs they both like the food,but one of them is starting to turn his nose to it and vomit one day only. I think I may change the food,but I really don't have time to cook because I'm a nurse. I don't know what other options out there that will be healthy for him.

    • @Sarahopal
      @Sarahopal 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @zulaicacartagena5575 it's so hard to know what brands you can trust now, huh? I assumed it would be so much work to make food for my dogs that I didn't even try for years. But we had an appointment for her to be euthanized soon. She barely got out of bed, wasn't keeping food down, she was so constantly miserable. So I figured what the heck, she's dying so it can't hurt. I got 14 lbs of lean turkey, sardines, dog safe broth, a bunch of veggies, and a couple of fruits. Chopped it all up and threw it in a big pot. It took me about an hour to prep (I'm gonna get a food processor so I can do this much faster), and I let the veggie/fruit mix cook for 20mins. Threw in the turkey, cooked another 10 mins and it was done. All together, it was about $30. I think I spent more time driving to get and buy her food lol.
      It took about 3 days and she was up, moving around. Begging for food. After a week I canceled the appointment. After 2 weeks she had totally normal poo and had the zoomies. I got her a good multivitamin just in case I missed anything.
      Sorry this is crazy long. I am just so angry at the vets who said it's not possible, it takes too much time, and she will get sick..... if I had listened to them, she would be dead.

    Ok, I don’t know if I’m just being a bonehead or if I’m just misunderstanding all of this dog food info. Very confusing as to what I should be feeding my new pup. All these videos about feeding, but no one is saying what you should actually follow. Grain free or grains included, wtf, why won’t even one of the vets state- feed them food containing grains, or feed them grain free food? WHAT IS BEST for dogs?

      No, they can't absorb and then metabolise it the way humans can through their skin.. Dogs need to get Vitamin D from their diet.

    Here's the common sense POV- if fresh food/ raw food was BAD for dogs, the species would have died out thousands of years ago and we would only have fossilized dogs left! Also, why the heck do the vets at the zoo understand that there's a species appropriate diet for every species of animal, but the local dog and cat vet doesn't understand that!??!
