Just in case anyone has a newer model - the LCD screws are now under the footpads on the underside of the LCD pull out. I had an issue where the LCD display didn’t show all sections, cleaning the connection and screwing it back in tight, did the trick! Your video inspired me to take on the repair- thank you! It’s working like a charm again. 🙌
Thanks for the disassembly video. I had some water in/under my LED screen I wanted to clean out. Got it all cleaned up and one of my switches stopped working. A quick shot with a hair dryer dried up whatever moisture was in there and got it working again.
Thanks for this video. Do you have any suggestions for someone with the same exact scale that will no longer switch to the metric setting? It’s stuck on imperial. 🙏🏻

I would suspect the switch or a broken trace going to the switch.

It's a very old Hakko 470.
