Yeah, that! I'll say some good stuff, send me one of those badass rally cars! lol, I'll say good stuff anyway, as soon as I'm able to pick up one of your cars. Times are tight these days.
lol that was my plan unfortunately I pay for all my cars still, although on the plus side I don’t need to worry about annoying sponsors 😂 send that man a car rlaarlo 🙏
Thanks for the video on your roller construction. I got mine painted and all together, when I found out I couldn't get lights to work. Neither my FlySky, or Dumbo would work, and like you, only got flashing lights. I did order the $17 "light receiver"that was on Rlaarlo website, as needed for the XTS-F10. It looks like a receiver of some type that Rlaarlo used on the MK7 for running aftermarket radio. Hope this works, or I'm going to have to bite the bullit, and buy Rlaarlo's radio/reciever combo, but I'm going to wait, and run without lights until it gets figured out. One thing I did figure out, is that this car needs a dustcover really bad. Glad Rlaarlo came up with one, but it's kind of sketchy, because it looks like a bag, and goes across bottom, along with netting on top. I think I'll be scraping it off, after awhile! Lol. Nice running sequence at end! I do love this car.
Thank you 🙏 yeah it’s a shame about the lights, yeah I saw that light receiver, hope it works, although more wires and board to put in 😼 Yeah hopefully someone will come up with some inner fenders, yeah that cover is gonna get grimey. Enjoying the car very much. What paint scheme did you go for ?
@@RCvapor I didn't follow any sponsored car schemes. I"ve got a 1/8" silver line, running from bottom of front wheel opening, up to tip of spoiler. Gloss black below, and back. Bright red on top, and front, with white Shelby stripes running full length of red to spoiler on body. It was my first attempt at multi colors, and watched a couple You-tube videos, to gain confidence. I might put numbers, and a few decals to make it a private ride! Just love the handling of this car. The best I've ever driven, out of the box. With a little suspension fiddling, it is purely awesome! I will save $, and get that Ken Block tribute body on the alloy version, but I'll wait for a sale! Lol
That bit you said about "make sure you put the diffs back in the same way they came out" yeah..... That's really solid advice right there. I haven't been in the hobby all that long, so a couple years ago, when I got my Wltoys 104001, I did what the videos told me, took out my diffs, and checked them, and yup, dry as a bone. Fixed that issue, got it all back together, went to run it for the first time, aaaaand it just sat there, very angry at me, spinning tires and going nowhere. I eventually realized the tires were spinning towards the middle of the car lol. Had no idea what was going on, got pissed tried getting a replacement, to no avail, as I admitted to tearing down the diffs. Could they have said "you put one back in the wrong way around." as I described the issue I was having? Probably, it's a very obvious thing, to anyone who has any experience at all, which I had none, and they sold the dang cars, but I digress. I got pissed off, threw it on a shelf for maybe a year, until I ran across a video where dude said "Now make sure they go back in correctly, because if you put one in the wrong way, your car will sit there and spin. You'll have no idea what's happening, get pissed off, and sit the thing on the shelf, never touching it again." WHAT!? 30 minutes, and nearly a year later, I drove my car for the first time... then found out about the many other shortfalls of that POS, and got a Traxxas Slash lol.
lol that’s a good story, easily done and like you say unless anyone tells you, none the wiser, I believe in this hobby your always learning and nobody knows everything, thank you for commenting 👍🏻
Now I've got a Traxxas Slash, with a bunch of upgrades I've done, a Redcat Volcano "the 1:10 one", with a bunch of upgrades I've done, a Laegendary Thunder I got for like $90 US, which I've done a lot of upgrades, and even more repairs on lol, and a TTO2, which... you guessed it. For me, driving is of course fun, but I'm the only guy I know with cars, and I don't drive a real one "legally blind, also makes for entertaining speed runs for onlookers I'm sure lmao" so never have anyone to bash with, so I get more enjoyment out of working on my rigs, and seeing what all I can do with them. I'm figuring out things mainly through trial and error and error lol, plus guys like you on TH-cam. Not Kevin Talbot, you'll get yourself in trouble watching that guy work on stuff lmao, but anyways, I caught your diff comment, and that made me reminesce about my experiences in this hobby, and reflect on just how cool the GLOBAL online community is! I love that aspect of it. Keep doing what you do man! It's a good thing.
@@publicprofilename4273 thank you appreciate it, I bet speed runs are interesting 😊 nice collection you have, never owned a traxxas, the slash is appealing 🤔yeah talbot is entertaining, just do the opposite to what he says and you’ll be fine 😂
@@RCvapor In a year, the Slash has lost a shock spring retainer, and went through a phase where it didn't like making turns without flipping, but that's because I was being cheap, and replaced the rears with some I had laying around, when I lost thate piece. I was cheap still, and ordered a sway bar set, rather than a new set of big bores, so I wrecked it super bad, lost a piece, and caused myself havoc trying to save a buck. That's literally the ONLY issues that truck has had, and you caught the blind thing right? Trust and believe, I wreck... often lol. I'm getting better these days though. But that Slash that was a good 10yo when I got it, with a 3s system in it, is by a mile, the most durable vehicle I've ever had. My current line up, is not everything I've had. A lot of the Hosim, or Wltoys, Deerc, etc stuff hasn't survived, or rather, became too much investment to keep them functioning. I probably have had 10 or 12 rigs in a couple years. Oh, I've got the Associated 1:27 240z in green. I forgot about that one. Just got it. Haven't even driven it yet.
@@RCvapor Just do teh opposite of what he says lmao.. I didn't see that at first, pretty much lmao.. he needs a "this broadcast is for entertainment purposes only" disclaimer cuz it sure is entertaining, but not very helpful.
Cheers mate, yeah took some hours of editing 😂 it's actually pretty spot on for a 1/10 rally car, most stuff from Traxxas/arma e.t.c is oversized, but compared to true 1/10 it is correct, had some right fun with it this morning 😆
All I can comment is my experiences. I don’t get anything for free from rlaaarlo, this is my 5th car, and CS has been good so far, especially compared to other companies, obviously not on par with retailers. Here in uk we now have an official uk distributor, so parts and warranty will be better, hopefully this will be the case in other countries soon

Great video and info!👍

Nice video ben need to tune my diffs 👍🏻
Cheers mate, yep get them diffs tuned 👍🏻😊
Bloody hell Ben, quite the video! Must have been some work sticking it together, well in pal.
Is it me or it that quite small for a 1:10 scale ?
Cheers mate, yeah took some hours of editing 😂 it's actually pretty spot on for a 1/10 rally car, most stuff from Traxxas/arma e.t.c is oversized, but compared to true 1/10 it is correct, had some right fun with it this morning 😆
@ looks awesome and them stickers are ace, proper old school. The video randomly cuts at the end. Was that intentional?
@mattbutcher3634 whilst the cars mid flight ? If so yes, just a taster of next video, yeah old school decals are cool 👍🏻
They seem to be more focused on releasing stuff than sorting out their parts and customer service from what I have seen, very disappointing.
