I have not been impressed with Esterbrook Estie. They look great but I am constantly having issues. My Laban (same as yours different color) was a starter pen gift and it never disappoints. I just purchased my second Benu. They at first were too "blingy" for me but after my first purchase I fell in love. Not only do they look great and give me joy to look at, but write equally well.
Great overview of your pens! I guessed a few right ☺️ Your collection of Leonardos is really stunning, some exquisite pens. Perhaps you would like to do another video with „small pen maker“? Not „best of penmaker“ ☺️ F.ex. a best of color/resin and best of comfort…?
Oooh this is fun!!! I'm so happy to see your video on this!!!! Your Laban pen looks amazing! I have just one little pocket pen by them and the nib is impressive! I've had my eye on the Laban Skeleton. ❤😍
I *love* the way all those Esties look next to each other in a rainbow. If I was to pick one I would probably go with the light blue but green is a second choice.
I found the Eco is the best of TWSBI, as well. I’ve had issues with the other models I’ve purchased, but the Eco’s sturdiness and the fact it was for so long their cheapest pen, it can’t be beaten.
I really enjoy your pen collection, and we have some of the same pens - and certainly most of the same brands, but I absolutely LOVE your Leonardo pick. I've seen it several times on your channel, and I've tried to find it with no success - though I think it was a limited exclusive edition. But I agree with you - that pen is gorgeous. I own several Leonardo pens, but would jump at the chance to obtain one. You have lovely taste. 😃
I really like these kind of videos in which people describe what they love about a specific pen and brand Most of them I haven’t seen or tried yet, I am making a list of what to try and a list of things I really visually don’t like
Really interesting video. You have a wide selection of pens. I think that is awesome! When you want to buy a pen what draws you to a pen? Is it the color or the nib or an exclusive drop in one brand? I am curious because I am new to the hobby. I just started in the fountain pen 🖋️ hobby in November of 2023. I already have 13 pens! I write a LOT every day so I want a pen that is super comfortable and that can hold a lot of ink. I can go though one filling of a TWSBI ECO in 5 days, easily. My pens with converters I am refilling them every two days! Thanks for a great video. I really enjoyed it. ❤❤❤
Welcome to the hobby! I go through a few things when thinking of purchasing a pen. First, what draws me in is its looks. Then I think about its functionality - is it a pen that will be comfortable for me? Have I tried it in the past? I recommend trying and holding pens in your hand if you can! Good luck!
I feel the same way about the Carène. And I love it so much. I love my Nahvalur pens. I hate that you had such a bad experience. I only have one Estie but it’s a fave.
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I think maybe because we tend to have similar taste. I mean I love them too & u have this loving voice when u use them. everyone has a voice when they love the pen they are writing with xD
Out of all the twsbis the Swipe is my favorite due to its eas of cleanability its hand disassembleable and its super easy to maintain and it comes with a whole bunch of options for different types of inky people or different types of ink even I may have to do a re review of that pen at sometime :0 )
Good afternoon Karyna!! The Esterbrook Estie is a very reliable pen. I enjoy using mine a lot. You have some very nice colors even the lilac. I am seeking a Laban pen. The 325 is likely the model I will choose. I’ve heard so many good things about that pen. The Lamy 2000 is an excellent pen for any collection. The Leonardo MZ Grande is a great pen. The Milky Way and Andromeda are really nice. I would like to find an Andromeda for my collection. I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on the M1000. I have an M600 and M200. An M800 or M1000 is on my wish list. I like the Vanishing Point. I like the clip and how it aids my grip when using. I like that green gold. My favorite one in my collection is my matte blue. The colors of your new ECOs are really nice. I have not been a fan of their stub nib. Otherwise TWSBI pens are excellent in my opinion. My favorite Sailor in my collection is the 110th Anniversary Kurogane. Not a light pen at all but I generally prefer heavier pens. Waterman pens seem to be something of a forgotten brand. The carene is my favorite out of the couple I have in my collection. It would be tricky to pick the favorites of each brand in my collection. It’s unfortunate that your Narwhal gave you all that trouble. Thankfully it is working now. I only have one which is the limited edition exclusive Voyage Chicago from Atlas Stationer. Thankfully it has not given me any trouble. I know that can happen with any pen and it has turned me off from a brand or model when it does. Sometimes I’ll give them a second chance. Have a great day.
Hi Courtney! Highly recommend the Laban 325 - I am debating whether or not to get the Snow! 🙈 I am so grateful to have snagged the Milky Way and Andromeda - that was a very stressful day! Yes, Waterman is not a brand seen on social media often and it is so underrated! I cannot wait to try the M1000 - the M800 has been amazing for me! I never thought I would go back to TWSBIs but I am loving the F and EF nibs right now on them! Thanks for watching!
Your video about the Settimo inspired me to buy it and I do love it. Then I saw another video with the Stilo and stile special edition frosted and it is even lovelier.
I’m a little sad to see you moving away from Sailors, but I think its because I’m doing that some now too. It’s so strange that we have emotional connections to pens and brands. I feel like I’m saying to Sailor, “it’s not you, it’s me. I just want to see other pens.”
Great video, as always! It's another version of your top 10 favorites 🙂 I am wondering what is your favorite hand turned fountain pen of all of the ones you have tried?
I knew someone would ask this, and I didn't include them because it's so hard to choose. I love them all for different reasons and each maker is so unique!

The justturnings pen is gorgeous! Good to knownit can take Sailor nibs!
Not all of his models take Sailor nibs - just his BYOP models.
That Leonardo you picked is my favorite of all of them - gorgeous pen!!
It is definitely a favourite - this was my dream Leonardo!
Love your collection! The Leo MZ Via Lattea is the one thay got away, for me. Such a stunning material, reminds me of a beach, actually 😅

I've been looking for the sea green shimmer Carene as well. Found one on eBay but lost the bid and was not able to get it. I was so heartbroken.
I thought I saw one on eBay today but it's had to tell the colour from the photo! We have the same taste in pens!!
I feel the same way about the Carène. And I love it so much. I love my Nahvalur pens. I hate that you had such a bad experience. I only have one Estie but it’s a fave.
