I️ know, I️ know....reason why I️ have mis matching subs is because originally, I️ had the alpine, I️ bought a second alpine online but when it arrived it was damaged, so I️ then started to question whether the alpine was what I️ really wanted to go with. I️ did some research and ended up discovering the American bass. What I’m going to do is a comparison video to see which sub sounds better, then most likely I️ am going to sell the alpine and buy a second American bass sub. Now I️ built the boxes to the specs of the subs. They are a little over the recommended air space. And I️ know bigger ports are louder but I’m more into SQ not SPL.
Question, when u got it loud and the bass up does the back end shake? I heard with sports cars ans subs in the back it makes the back end shake and feel terrible when driving so do u have thiughts on this to help me out?
i have the two mtx 12" terminator subs from amazon and they are only like $150 for both in a box and they sound pretty damn good. but im going to install the kicker loc in my 2015 chrysler 200 limited this weekend just before christmas. any extra tips for someone who doesnt have an equalizer?
Shaggy1269 I would definitely invest in the equalizer if your unable to add an aftermarket radio or if your not wanting to change the stock radio. Make sure the eq on the radio is all set to zero, and depending on what kind of amplifier your gonna install, set the gain on the kicker LOC to the middle setting (if you have a decent power amplifier) or 3/4 of the way to 2 volts (if you have a low wattage amplifier. If you have a decent amplifier, you’ll want the amp to do most of the work. Also, on the amp make sure the low pass filter doesn’t go past 55 or 60 hertz. It all depends on what kind of music you listen to. I listen to rap so I love the lows.
If I’m adding just subwoofers I don’t need to cut the wires behind the head unit right? Just connect rca from the head unit to the high low converter ?
Hi can you tell me what fuse you hooked your remote wire to and if you had to disconnect your noise canceling mics cause a stereo shop told me i would have to do the subs don’t make noise
Antonio Franklin just the line out converter. I added the EQ to clean up the bass a little bit but it’s still loud. All depends on the amp, subs and box your running. Ported box will be louder than sealed
Thank you for the upload seriously inwas having a distortion video in my camry 2017 se install.
So the ground goes to the amp not its own individual ground ? I have a black cable that’s ground and got a blue 12v one
Where did u hook the remote wires to
I have no idea but I saw a video of a dude lifting the floor in the trunk and there was a car battery
@@wubblekush4208 Looks like there’s a fuse box right next to the battery

I got my system installed but my Bluetooth won’t work now any suggestions?
Could be a few things. What kind of head unit are you using?

Marco L if you have that option yeah. Only reason why I connected the LOC to the rear speakers is because my head unit does not have rca outputs
Dodge Challenger thanks bro I know how now.. the way I said it didn’t make since tho lol..
So where do you run your remote wire from the amp to what the blue wire on the loc or ?
From the converter
🔥🔥
Why put the equ in the back??? Should of had put it in the front. And run a xover on the back. And you only have 1 amp???

I put it on fuse F12. And no I didn’t disconnect the noise cancelling mic. My subs don’t make any noise
Dodge Challenger oohh ok great thanks for the info i think i am gonna hook mine up in a few days you just used a hi low right
Sure thing bro, yes I used a line out converter, the kicker KLOC
Dodge Challenger ahh ok thanks ima hook mine up maybe tomorrow if im not busy
How wide is the box. I'm getting a system installed soon and want to know what size box to get for 12s
easy money
It’s 32 1/4”
Do I need a equalizer ??
Did you need anything special to hook it up to factory and be be loud enough
Antonio Franklin just the line out converter. I added the EQ to clean up the bass a little bit but it’s still loud. All depends on the amp, subs and box your running. Ported box will be louder than sealed
Can you still hear the bass in the car with subs being in the trunk
Jake McGee Of course, the Harman Kardon audio system has two subs under the trunk and it shakes the whole car.
nice
I need a box built
Ive had soundqubed sundown and american bass subs and tbh I still think my neighbors type r sounds better for SQ
Why? Just why?..... such a janky setup.... JS. Get matching subs, build a bigger box. Big port... will shake your hood... I know for fact
Where did you hook up the amp remote wire
Exactly he didn't say or show how he hooked it up but mentions what kind of screws he used, it's a gd video but no explanation
