At around 42.00 I noticed that there is a gully from Dark City to the edge of the map. Also there is a small meadow there. Would have been a nice place for a station and then an independent Swiss style line up the gully to Dark City. No roads to worr about just a station in the mountains and people changing trains... Maybe something for a later episode full of faffing around improving the place?
I recently had two of the ear shaped bus depots joined to a station with the flat car parky thing attached alongside, threw a couple of ordinary stops in the flat parky thingy and some busses as assets et voila, it looked like a lot of 1980's bus interchanges, with a few dmu diesels frantically serving the station and carting away 200+ passengers a time it looked good until the lag finally did for me.
58:10 The "you could probably have worked this out yourself, tiger" button is the little spanner icon at the end of the red message which says "Could not connect all stations". It will often solve things itself when you press that button - pretty likely in a simple dilemma such as this one.
I love TF. I have played it for years now. Sometimes i decide to find some advice from youtube to make smart decicions in game. Somehow still i find myself always ending up watching your clips enjoying them greatly,and not learning anything... I love it,pretty much the point of games is not to be rational and just wing it to have proper fun. So basically learning a lot,the actual point of fun.
I would appreciate different tunnel interiors. Maybe an arched ceiling and periodic hidey holes for the maintenance workers on the sides. Doors on tunnel entrances to keep the snow out would also look nice.
This just went on sale, so I bought it. I finally have a halfway decent Virtual Train set!. Now, time for the obligatory download of the LNER Class A4, and the GWR 4900 Class... and a few Busses to get things started with.
Despite it being a desperately weak outro I had to play it back 5 or 6 times to try to hear what you were saying. Audio mix was a little off and the outro theme was drowning out your voice.😄
My 1800 start, 1/4 speed version of this almost broke me when I tried to reach Dark City. That elevation is nobody's friend. I'm currently planning to come back to it when I have loads of dosh, and can nuke the entire city and lower it.

Auto-snap of stations/depots (44:00) Since the fall update, I’ve been having the same issue as you, where I can’t get a station to be “crooked” or low/high on purpose. The new auto-snap feature insists on keeping them at 90 degree angles and level, but sometimes I WANT a depot or station to NOT line up with a road. I found a comment on the TpF2 Steam discussion - if you hold down C, you can disable the snapping, align your building as desired, and click to place the item where you want it. (I used to use the SHIFT option in the past, but it no longer works. It LOOKS like SHIFT is gonna work, but then you can’t CLICK to place the building.) There is also a mod on MOD.IO - no-auto-snap - it ads a check box on the build menu that allows you to turn off auto-snapping. I have not tried this mod yet, but it sounds promising. As usual, I LOVE your TpF2 videos, I’m SO glad you decided to do another one! Thanks!
There is one small segment of slow speed track in the high speed junction just before Atlantis. It has my OCD ringing like a fire alarm. Would you be so kind to fix this situation.
Sigh... got some 4-6-2 pacifics and 4-8-2 Mountains more than adapt to your lines!.... which you would find under multiple unit steam because they have a random number generator on them.
