Good to hear a positive story. Before got Mestinon I was convinced I would die dealing with long covid and staying on bipap at home 14 hr a day at minimum. Without diagnosis, treatment, support I snapped at son, he left and hasn't come back. He didn't understand the depth of disability, depression, fear.. fear of medical bungling again,death, leaving him in a mess, not wanting to die. I am seroneg lespite strong response to Mestinon is not diagnostic. Lack of medical awareness meant 5 yrs of increasing disability, poverty as couldn't work I had fall with fracture, positive Rombergs, reaction Levaquin and anesthesia reactions before I even had severe influenza and was told inability to breath, move was told simply is emotional response despite shortness of breath such spoke in 3 word bursts. That ER MD ignored Neuro notes and simply suggested I sign DNR!! Without a flag saying MG on my chart this scenario very well could be a fatal outcome.
